What is this?
Operation International Fruit Cake is an effort to provide international Atrix 4G users with a safe way to return to stock
Why?
SBF files have been removed from the Atrix Reboot Project due to a major hard brick risk
And sadly, there are currently only two international fruit cakes available at the Atrix Reboot Project
How can I help?
It’s very simple
Create a fruit cake with ROM Factory (download from Play Store)
Post a link for the fruit cake on this thread
That’s it!
What will you do?
I will replace the standard install script with my universal install script and add your name as the creator
I will then upload the finished fruit cake to the Atrix Reboot Project where it will be available for download
What’s in it for me?
You get to give something back to this awesome Atrix community!
Can I post requests for fruit cakes?
Yes!
Instructions
After creating the fruit cake go to the “romf” folder on your external sd card and you will see the fruit cake zip file, and a folder named “workdir”.
It would make my job a little easier if you would zip “workdir” and post a link to that. But the fruit cake zip will work too.
When you post the fruit cake link, make sure you also post the country, carrier, ROM version, and Atrix model.
Example: France, Orange, GB 234, MB860
Once the fruit cake is listed on the second post, feel free to remove the link from your post or delete the file from your sharing service (Dropbox or whatever)
Many thanks to:
samcripp for ROM Factory and the Atrix Reboot Project

Yes, that would be helpful. Any country or carrier is helpful.
You can simply restore your backup, download ROM Factory from the Play Store, make a fruit cake, then follow the instruction in the OP.
Any way to find out what version of Atrix I own?
I got this phone from a 2nd hand shop and dunno if it's international or ATT, are there any ways to figure?
I'd like to request: GB ROM stock (United Kingdom) (Orange)

Hi All,
I know this will help many users in Mexico, but since I'm a noob I cannot post you the direct link, however this has been hosted on 4shared.com, just add the following after that:
Code:

PS.: 'workdir' Folder is included inside the zip.
Thanks for this great thread !

Get them while they're hot!
I managed to grab the system and recovery partitions after flashing Tiamat onto my boot partition (and thus trashing my clean boot partition). I had robbiev80 help me out with his new Xoom. Flashed Tiamat into his recovery partition and booted into that. I had already confirmed that my bricked Xoom and replacement Xoom had perfectly matching recovery partitions. From there, we grabbed his boot.img and system.img.
I did a file compare against his system.img file and found something strange... It was different by 5 bytes (out of 268 million). I honestly can't tell you whose system.img is cleaner. I wouldn't try OEM locking with these. But I did provide MD5 info for each file (including the missing one you can easily generate with a hex editor. I included the differences in the text file in the ZIP.
Anyway, grab them while you can. I'll probably pull these once Motorola gives us official Xoom Wi-Fi image files.
http://www.mediafire.com/?w142ftpz5ebth5z
And here are screenshots showing the differences between the US and Canadian versions:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1041245
US image files can be obtained here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1017398
UPDATE:
System images from Motorola are at http://developer.motorola.com/products/software/
The first thought that comes to me is the question of what would happen if one were to flash the Canadian images to a US device...
What do you think, will the 5 byte difference mess things up?

I don't think so. The 5 bytes could be something insignificant like a time stamp or something. Both files also came off of working Xooms. It could be in a file itself but I don't think its important since they were zeroed out on my friends Xoom. If I remember right, just doing a remount changes it far more.
Flashed and confirmed working on US Wifi device.

Do you get additional languages in location? Like could you change language of the system to Russian one? Also could you download from the market missed Book app?
Looks like it did add quite a bit more languages but do not see Russian. I don't see the books app in the market :/
Extracting it from a US dump should fix that.

Thank you! Without your help, we wouldn't have the boot image.
I kinda wonder if the Canadian version is more of an international version than anything. It's just all the extra languages listed that makes me wonder. The English/French/Spanish of the US seems to imply it's more for a North American market. But I think because we're not supposed to get Google Books in Canada, that may be one reason.

You only need to unlock your XOOM to flash the boot and system. You can get the images from the link in the previous post in this thread.

Gave flashing these babies a shot (boot.img and system.img) but no love -> endless bootloop on the honeycomb animation. Damn I was really looking forward to Australian localisation. Oh well, back to the US images

Lol it was leaked. Never official in the first place. It's like trying to ban marijuana.
This petition doesn't make sense. It is a leaked firmware on which Samsung is working
im not trying to ban it from samsung, just trying to take if off the internet (sammobile)

There's zero issues if you keep it stock.

yeah, its a brilliant rom, just flash it as a stock rom with no root or modified kernel, and DO NOT include the pit
hey everyone, Vertumus has signed the petition =)
Ya exactly ppl who dont know flashing and stuff will be safe. It bricks only if u try formatting using a recovery which has MMC whatever that stuff.. Removing is not a gud idea but we can tell others dont install if u using Custom ROMs because it hard bricks the phone... Simply removing doesnt help it..

my friends, other 4.0.4 releases will show up, why hurry and risk your device, lets just wait for another release, and hopefully a more stable release, and this release isnt official as we all know, i heard samsung was going to make the 4.0.4 release TWUX, so why hurry, why take the risk
Instead of a petition to remove it, why don't you petition sammobile to put a big warning there instead? Surely its easier for them to include a warning than to remove it complete. I've used it and successfully went back to stock and I find it a great rom. So instead of wanting it removed, why not just stick a big warning next to it, those who want to flash it would then know the risks and procedures to revert back to stock.
Just a thought.
Guys grow up
We are on a developers site.
Leaks are happening here all the time, sammobile is only one site that has a copy.
This firmware does not have issues with bricks. PERIOD.
It's only cwm that is giving issues with it.
But CWM is a developers tool never made by Samsung. (i think it was a CM9 app?)
If we want to fix anything here, it is the general knowledge here of what a leak is all about. And with it the risks it can bring when used wrongly.
yeah it was a leak, not finished yet, not released, has anyone updated there phone to XXLQ5 via KIE'S??
we will get it when they finish it, it is surely not wort the risk, and yes i will change the petition goal, so that they put a BIG warning sign, good idea my friend =)
cheers
I agree with a warning! don't need to remove it, I use this Rom until now with no problem and fill good with it. So, I will stay with this Rom and wait for new release
I too have flashed the day it was released. But i haven't flashed any custom kernel/cwm/root as it wasn't made available. Later, I read bricking of phones & didn't try rooting it.
I am still on stock XXLQ5 & it's working fine, no issues.
Since you've changed it to a warning petition, I'll gladly sign it.
XDA has had a warning in place on the S2 forums since yesterday when it came to my attention that there was an issue
There's no reason to outright remove access to this ROM, so long as people are aware that it causes the hardbrick issue.
And there is no need to sign it, Sammobile already showing warning since yesterday. In red colour if that will be your next complain.

Yes, I know it well. Originally I got the device with 3.2 HK ROM, which DOES CONTAIN HUNGARIAN also, among other EUROPEAN languages. Then I flashed ICS ROM P6800XXLQ1, then I flashed P6800XXLQ2. This is what I have now.
But this ROM also contains some bugs. That's why I also interested in other ROMs, issued later, hoping the later the version is, the less bugs are there...
Is it clear for you now?! But OK, forget it, just keep the "big secret" of avaible languages for yourself....

I'm just providing the INFOs and LINKs. Besides, didn't get enough time to check what language(s) inside the ROM, I also have just done updating my device.
By the way, for your information my updated ROM (via OTA) was the Official XME 3.2. Now I have the Official XME ICS 4.0.4 which contains these languages (SEA Languages):
- Bahasa Indonesia
- Bahasa Malaysia
- English (Philippines)
- English (United Kingdom)

There is no proper fix, and none of the ics versions work.
But try to switch your Flight Mode off and on a few times, switch wifi off and on a few times and then reboot the tablet.
If you are lucky it may work.
But with certain combinations of wifi networks around you, even if not connected, your wifi will fail. If there is only one network in your vicinity then it will usually work.
Do you feel lucky ?

But if you have a single wifi network in your vicinity you may not notice it.

The wifi only falls over if someone switches a Huawei mobile router on near your location. You don't have to be connected to it, merely switching it on will kill your wifi.
It is possible that some other routers may also do this.

Downloading, will provide a torrent for the stock Rom and (if wanted) a deodexed version soon. I think there are a lot of members who will be happy to have Arabic as language on their device
Strange: Algeria is marked as March 2013, while UAE has February 2013.
Will start deodexing with the algerian release and try to use Philz kernel for XXLSZ - should work like all other JB releases.

So I hope that hotfile isn't a barrier for me in the next 12 month and I can provide downloads for dev-host, hotfile.com and torrents from seedbox in a high-quality-way (aka "Pristine")
That's alright now:
Downloaded both files in 10 minutes. And in the afternoon I hope that VDSL will be even faster.

So please tell us: What has a new business software from Samsung to do with the JB release for countries like Algeria or UAE?
And:
KNOW won't come to the Note1 because the necessary security technology will be integrated into the hardware.

Sorry, but that isn't possible to say right now after a few hours (2 or 3) or a few minutes of using it.
Interesting: Opera Mini included for one country.
Just built the deodexed version for UAE (and many other countries in csc-folder). Installed it as no-wipe - no problems.
Links will be in thread in development forum later
And the deodexed for Algeria (seems to be the same), but here I copied Opera Mini to /system/app, so it's available for all countries of this Rom. Just installed it and waiting for start screen
Opera Mini is version 7.0.
In Google Playstore it's alredy 7.5.1.
Why did they put this inside?

Why Placebo?
You told yourself why it isn't: people from arab speaking countries will be very happy. It's the most important feature if you only speak your native language.

with Placebo I meant increased performance and less RAM usage....of course the ROM is great for Arab users, no doubt

Opera Mini must be to get around the country-level firewall which blocks many sites since it works on a proxy.
Deodexed version available.
I added torrents for the official releases (Stock JPLSB) for UAE and Algeria in the Pristine JPLSB for Algeria v1.0 MD5 99e6c9ed292bedc80c52928857dd5fdd.zip"]torrent thread[/URL].
And a deodexed, rooted version of JPLSB for Algeria called "Pristine JPLSB for Algeria v1.0". This one I tried already, it's working without problems (for me).

Have anyone tried Language Enabler that have been created by wanam??
Google Play link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wanam
Edit:
It works but it needs some extra fonts to make it fully supporting the hidden language

If there are no language resources in all necessary apks or jars then there is no hidden language that can be activated by this tool.
I added languages to ZSLM5 and XXLSZ. It's a dirty and laborious job. I will not do that again - too time consuming.
Have any one test which csc support lockscreen shortcuts feature in LSB
Hi everyone,
A lot of people are waiting KK release for European users... here it is!
This thread is based on my other own thread in a french forum: http://forum.frandroid.com/topic/206376-romkitkat-beta-test-officiel/page-1
I know this ROM is KIA20.69 build, so older than the brazilian build.
But it has many languages available! (English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese, Turkish, Greek, Russian, Hebrew and Arabic)
This ROM is not a flashable zip. It is a backup from TWRP.
SO, you have to flash it by TWRP.
You must run JB stock before restoring.
Download the .rar package here: http://goo.gl/nzKTVH
Extract it once done then rename the folder /TWRP/BACKUPS/serial_number to your own serial number.
Copy that in your external SD card
Reboot to recovery, wipe data and cache then restore the backup and wait!
Reboot system.
Here you are! Your phone runs now KitKat for Europe!
Notice: root and delete Bug2Go and Battery Tracer. CWM Recovery does not work very well on KitKat.
Enjoy

Hello
So, this is the beta for the european rom?
Are there any problems with it?
Sent from my XT890 using XDA Free mobile app
Yes, it is the european ROM as I said.
There are problems with ART (normal), the battery life is a bit worse than Omar's ROM or JB stock. This is due to the network symbols cycle quickly in between 2G to 3G to H to H+.
The ROM works very well in general

Thanks for the trick
which version of TWRP is compatibile with this rom?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2278483
Ok, thx a lot!
But i have another question: if this rom doesn't work on my phone, can i downgrade to 4.1.2 Eu with RSD file, without problem?
Yes, I tested and no brick happened.
Is it possible to port languages from this europe beta to the final brazilian ROM?
How are languages managed on android. Is it just a file/folder I have to copy?
sorry if i ask something allready told but is there an issue with sd-cards? mine is not recognised...
Anyone can say me how to root the ROM?
