Im moving to a HTC one x now, im going to miss the xperia play a lot loved it, but was plagued with problems with ram and processor so im hoping the htc one x is more better in all gaming included. But im gonna miss the gamepad love it on the xperia play. Best time with a phone a year and a half so awesome will miss you xperia play.
Well have fun with the HTC one X. Its a great phone!
By the way, I wouldn't say that the Xperia Play had problems with RAM and CPU, it is quite fine based on GB stock.
I have an EVO 4G LTE (basically a One X) and I just bought an Xperia Play for mobile gaming.
You'll like the One X I am sure but not for any game that isn't touch based or would be better with buttons.

lol funny i meant no lag smooth and heavy booster speed.
Mine is going for either HTC One X or Samsung Galaxy S3, I need another £300 to get a S3 or £100 for HTC One X, Not decided which one, It think I will go for S3 though as its a lot less invasive than Sense (software wise) and since I ALWAYS stick to stock roms for the first few months before I get bored and venture into other roms.

Atm i got nokia n97 white and i am about to change phone, is it good trade to give my nokia n97 for wildfire?
I want from wildfire users to tell me more about phone pls, i know resi is issue
Now with CynaogenMod 6, H*LL YEAH!
I had the N97 before as well. Disadvanages of Wildfire are imho the screen resolution, battery and camera quality. Advantages of Wildfire are: dimensions (of the phone), display (excluding resolution), customizability, and apps.
In my opinion the Wildfire pros outweigh the cons. Go in a shop and try it for some minutes. And then don't forget that you can improve your experience with apps and custom roms!

thx for info guys but i think i am about to get legend not too much higher price but res is imo better .)
dont buy this phone. low screen resolution= many good apps not available on market. gaming suck. not able to play 3d games. the updates also suck like Nokia. I have been waiting for froyo update for month but nothing until today. somebody say it will release this month every month but until now I still have 2.1 not 2.2. I m soon gonna dump this phone. I suggest u get mid-end android phone. not low-end phone like wildfire. I regret that I bought this phone

I'd rather get the desire over legend, better value for money. As for wildfire, few 2.2 custom runs available already. Makes the phone awesome.

You wanna dump it? I`ll buy it for 50$.
It`s a good phone if you know what you are getting yourself into. If you drool all over the HTC Desire reviews and head to the store and buy a Wildfire, of course you`ll be disappointed. But if you want a low, medium- class smartphone that`s easy on the pocket then go for the Wildfire.
Oh, and how much time do you spend playing on the phone, really now? do you really need the 3d games? I have only 2d games on my wildfire and I`m having a bloody good time for the 10 minutes a week I`m playing on it.
If you want 3d games and play a whole lot of them, then go buy a PSP, this way you`ll have battery left in your phone to make a god-damn call.

i probly sell it to get mid end phone. not only 3d games, some good apps also not availabe on market like, camera 360, mixzing. i had spend a lot of time to "enhance" my wildfire, but still not satisfied (im greedy man). i had a psp but it not all the time with me. so i play games on my wildfire when i left my psp. i m not saying this phone suck. it just dont suit me. i bought this phone bcoz it cheap n my first android phone. i m not expecting low screen resolution had many disadvantages. good for u it suit u.
you can use the patched market to get those apps, and no the roms aren't really that buggy at all, well for me, i've tried them all, and so far, the only problem with CM6 is the default android phone dialer layout, but i use dialer one instead, so it's all fine.
@kevin thanks. i will search for the patched market...nway, i believe those apps are not shown on the non-patched market because the hardware limitation. is it save to install it? about the custom rom, i never tried them..i thought it was buggy from the post on the thread

if u want power along with beauty go for Samsung Galaxy S2 (the best phone available right now)... latest hardware shouldnt be outdated for another 10-12 months... btw some of the TOP devs at XDA are already working on SGS2 http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1058
lg 2x (aka G2x) has got good hardware but they have wasted a lot of space on the handset design... i have tested it and the display/screen is only 4'' but the whole device feels unnecessarily bulky/big almost as big as the 4.3'' ones... the touch sensitive buttons are not really very sensitive and require a little fiddling to get them to work (especially HOME button)...
if u just want to go for the looks of the Arc only then buy it... already outdated hardware... it is already 8-10 months old (MSM7230/QSD8255)...

1 second faster?? lol
Where are you getting these numbers?
Also, 1 second of speed for a cpu makes a hell of a difference, one second of lag vs. one second of no lag.
It is 2-3 times more powerful and has at least double the quadrant score and linpack.
The cpu/gpu is a current gen vs. an outdated one.
You can think whatever you want, but electronics is my job/field.
The sgs2 is far more advanced than the arc.

It wasn't bad, but they pushed off releasing it so far that by then it was falling behind, especially with the version of android.
Then they release their new batch of phones, a full generation behind what the technology is shifting to.
I love my x10 still, but I'm definitely not impressed with SE's latest offerings. They're going to have to do/release something major to get me to buy an SE phone for my next phone

Hey, well I've more or less broke the phone functionality on my Play (Bent pin inside sim tray) I really dont want to waste any more on repairing it... Anyways I've been looking at replacements and I'm stuck between the Xperia U and P. Right now I'm tipped more towards the P due to memory limitations on the U as I do tend to use quite a lot of storage space. I use a lot of apps, have a large music library etc. Also the P does have better specs but is it worth the price jump? Or do you think I should go with a different phone all together? Any ideas? Thanks
i think u should get another xperia play.
Xperia U Unlocked and brand new costs around $240, so that is a definite good deal to me.
The major bottleneck though is the internal memory of puny 4GB without SD Card slot.
If you keep lots of music and lots videos/games then this is not an option.
If you are ok with not so famous brand, then ZTE has viable options but not that I recommend it.

Maddy
i have bought the P why?
larger screen
whitemagic screen (really great)
more ram (more update proof)
more flash
Xperia P is very nice in every single detail but it's very expensive for it's features. You should get a galaxy nexus, that's what I would get

I'm getting an Xperia S down to the fact that it has 32GB internal storage compared to Xperia P's 16GB, I think now is the time that most of us Xperia 2011 users are considering a new device, I've had this device for a year tomorrow
I would get the Xperia P if it had at least expandable memory, Love the Xperia P aluminium case
Anyway I'm keeping my Xperia Play for gaming.
@OP: Get an Xperia P, More sexiii!!!!! No really it feels REALLY nice in the hand.
Xperia P really is sexy, it's certainly better than U so, here's your answer. But you didn't try GNexus with Jellybean did you? If you did Xperia P would't be certainly the fastest
i am sure when the P gets cm10 (very soon) it will be faster then gnexus and when the official jb comes (end of this year) it will still be faster
Thanks guys, I've tried the Gnexus and I don't think it's as smooth as the P. I think I'll go with the P for more or less the same reasons nick stated, I'm still keeping my play though
I'm thinking of getting an Xperia S in november because Devs have touchpads working on Xperia Ray, etc ports.
Anyway as I said get an Xperia P!
Nice, in fact I just ordered the S. I seen a really good deal that was to good to pass over so I went for it, can't wait

i hv one also. this surprise me at the quality of the phone which is produced by a not well-known manufacturer. it is really good and very stable. one thing to care about is the charging time is a little bit longer. it takes you about 6 hrs to charge from 0% to full for that 2300mah battery. you should get a 1g ram version for a better experience.

an Xperia Z. And to be honest I can't really say Im that excited about it really.
General usage (flicking between screens etc) seems no snappier than my overclocked Play so does multi-core really work on Android yet? Net usage is substantially faster though.
I was using Gin2Jb before I went back to stock rom on my XP and its amazing how close it is to genuine JB!
I've always been a big fan of the camera on the XP and Sony has come up trumps again but one of the best things about the XP was the loudspeaker.... awesomely loud with clarity to boot. The speaker on the Z is absolutely pathetic.
So, as I still have 2 contracts, my XP will still be receiving the usage it deserves as a phone, although my JXD S7300 has taken the gaming crown from it!!

Yup the speaker thing is the one big thing I notice for day-to-day use, that my new One X just plain sucks at compared to my Xperia Play (besides gaming, of course).
The Xperia PLAY still rocks people
This is about how I felt when I got the HTC One X+.
The "AWESOME! NEW PHONE!" appeal was wearing off before I even got out of the store. Got rid of it, went for the iPhone 5... realized iOS feels like an old Nokia flip phone after using Android for so long... sold that for a phenomenal profit... and all this time, it turns out what I REALLY wanted was just to get an Xperia Play in white.
I'm happy now
is the sound on the new HTC one with stereo speakers worse than xplay aswell?
if you're so happy why don't you make any more videos? ;P
of course the play is getting better and better. I mean, cave story runs on it. And psp is getting more and more feasible... no wonder you were disappointed by the Z. :x
