Hello
I'm looking for an app which will change the lock screen wallpaper automatically. I tried the "Wallpaper Changer" from market. But it changes the home screen Wallpapers only. Any app there for lock screen? also I want to use the native lock screen itself. Thanx!
Why don't you try Settings>Display>Screen Display>Lock Screen Wallpaper
or you can go to a image the press the edit button and choose set as lock screen.
At least read the damn post!
The guy is asking for something that automatically changes the wallpaper, I would asume at a predefined or even random time.
@OP
I dont know of any app only for home screen wallpapers though, sorry cant be much of a help.

Yes I know how to change it manually. But wanted it auto like every few minutes or whenever I unlock the screen which would have been cool to look at different lock screen Wallpapers everytime u look at the screen
well thanx guys. Hope someone will make an app for this!
I use flikie HD to change my homescreen wallpaper, then I choose the lock screen option to change the picture to my wallpaper.which means it changes as per the schedule i set on flikie

Hi,
You can probably do that with "Tasker" but this is not the cheapest app

You can definitely do this with Tasker. As stated though not the cheapest app if this is the only thing you'll use it for. Steep learning curve too. Still, its an option.

Use CM locker, its change your wallpaper daily.. Yes daily that's my problem, I need an app that change my lockscreen wallpaper every hour.
Hi guys, try "Hi Locker" from Lockdown Team. You can change it every 1 hour, 2 hours, etc.
Is there a way to increase the backlight time on the s2 before the screen goes black while locked? because when i get a message or notifaction i dont have time to read it thanks
Don't know if it is possible on Stock LS but it is if you use Widget Locker.

Of course it does, I am using it. You have to have the Samsung theme for notifications however. Give a look at WL Theme collection thread in Android Apps/Games section.
With WidgetLocker all you need do is click Menu/Settings/Screen Timeout/
1. First tick the top option 'Custom Timeout' which overrides the system's timeout.
2. Now select the second option 'Screen Timeout'.
You can now change the timeout from:-
10sec
15sec
30sec
1min
2min
Once you have selected whichever timeout you desirte the screen will remain on until WidgetLocker again turns off the screen.
Is there anyway to make the lock screen rotatable?

I'd like to know if this is possible too.
Set Orientation https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.googlecode.eyesfree.setorientation
Pull down the notification bar and press the screen with spinning arrows icon, it will change to a padlock once it's pressed.
I have my DPI set to 160 which puts it in tablet mode, and still the lockscreen is only in portrait. I don't want an app that locks the orientation because I'm still about 50/50 on using portrait and landscape.

The Set Orientation app lets you set it to auto, the lockscreen will rotate with the tablet.
This does work. However I use widgetsoid in the notifications drawer, and with screen krien. enabled, I can't adjust brightness. Just and fyi, but figured someone else must use this combo as well. The screen orien. also makes some apps tough to use in landscape, such as songza.

if you have root, add this to your build.prop file in /system/build.prop/ and reboot.. launcher.force_enable_rotation=true

You could also flash a ROM like Paranoid Android which gives you control over what interface each app uses like phone, phablet, and tablet. This is probably not the solution you were looking for, but you did say any way to make the lock screen rotatable.

Working great, thanks. Is there a way to hide the icon in the notification bar?

Thanks for the info, but after some days I have uninstalled the app as it has been the reason for short screen-freezes every x seconds which was kind of annoying.
CM10 supports lock screen rotation.

Ultimate Rotation Control.
I use Ultimate Rotation Control. It rotates everything, including the lockscreen, & has different settings.
I don't like to have a lockscreen. Instead, I like to use my homescreen as a lockscreen (in the sense that it displays the time and notifications). However, when you disable the lockscreen, whenever you wake your phone you go to wherever you left off, in the browser for example. Are there any roms or mods that send you to the homescreen whenever you wake your phone without lockscreen? Or could this easily be made, if it doesnt exist already?
CM10.1 has this (I suggest downloading Jellybro, unofficial kang... more features, same stability)
go into settings -> lock screen -> security -> go from "Slide" to "None"

Doesn't that keep the lockscreen but just get rid of any security needed to unlock the phone?
Edit: Never mind. Lol.

It disables the lock screen completely. If you turn the phone screen off in the middle of a browser, and turn it back on. It shows up at the browser. If u screen off at youtube, turns on at youtube. I just tried it on my phone before replying.

Thanks for your reply, but that's exactly what I don't want.
Actually, stock can do this too. But I want it to return to my homescreen automatically when I wake my device, not where I left off. Would this be possible with Tasker maybe?

Not sure why you would want that to happen. Don't use Tasker so I don't know.
Seems like you're making your life more complicated for no reason. It logically doesn't make any sense why you wouldn't want your phone screen to turn on at the spot you last left on.

I see it this way: I use my lockscreen to quickly see the time, date and notifications. When I actually want to use my device, I have to make one gesture (slide or whatever). So why not completely remove the lockscreen, and let me go to the homescreen instead, so I can use that as a sort of "lockscreen"? That way I don't have to make that extra unlock gesture. On my homescreen I also have the time, date and notifications, so a lockscreen is kind of pointless. But turning on at the spot I left off is not what I want, because that way I won't be able to see time, date and notifications or whatever I have on my lockscreen/homescreen now (yes, I know I can see those things in the notifications bar, but it's just an example).

First off. The solution I mentioned above fully disables the lock screen. Meaning you won't have to do a gesture to unlock the phone in the first place.
Secondly, the time is always on the top right side. Depending what rom you have, you may also have the ability to add the day of the week there. Notifications is on the pull down, the date and the day of the week is also present there so there's no reason why you need to always know that kind of information every part of the day as people do turn on and turn off their screen many times during the day.

I know. I know how to disable the lockscreen. This is even possible with vanilla Android.
Like I said, I know those things are possible to put in my notification bar, but let's say I want to see things every time I turn on my device that are NOT possible to put in my notification bar.
The reason that I want this isn't even important. I just don't want to do that gesture every time I turn the screen on, but I do want to see widgets, clocks, notifications, WHATEVER, like I would have seen on my lockscreen. For this, I can use the homescreen, but only if it goes to the homescreen every time I turn the screen on.

In my eyes it does make sense. I want my homescreen to replace the lockscreen. My homescreen looks exactly the same as my lockscreen does. By disabling the lockscreen and going directly to the homescreen, I don't have to make the unlock gesture, which is what I want.
I just think it makes no sense to have a lockscreen if you have exactly the same content on your homescreen. So, why not save that extra unlock gesture and go directly to the homescreen?
I will look into Tasker to see if it's possible. I can't be the only one that wants this.
I made a tasker profile that does this. Just disable the lock screen and use this profile.

Hello I have an annoying issue going on.
I set the display light to auto and it keeps dimming all the way down and it doesnt stay on auto. Or if I uncheck auto it dims all the way to where I have to set the slider...
Ive done a few mods ( in the systemUI) like changed the drop down menu to a different color
And when im doing something on an app sometimes the screen just goes back to the home screen.
Thanks Jim
