1st YES YOU HAVR STOCK KERNEL
2.ITS ACTUALLY NOT JB, Jellybeast ROM is a THEMED GB ROM.BUT ITS TRUELY AWESOME AND WORTH TRYING
3.If you are installing Any Custom ROM 1st make a NAND backup of your stock Rom Because Before flashing you might need to do a FULL WIPE/RESET
USING XDA APP ON SONY XPERIA U st25i
Before partitioning the sd card just make a backup in your pc because it will format the card
Flashing this will format your internal memory so make a backup of your contacts and messages etc
And Just follow all the instructions carefully and enjoy

Then you have asked about SD partition.
As you have A app backup using TITANIUM BACKUP and other data
On sd card.
1st copy all important stuffs to Computer and then partition using CWM because while partitioning It formats your SD completely

yeah this is good CWM by skin works almost 99% whereas CWM by madteam has got some glitches :/ but i don't really know the proper method to flash CWM by skin so i posted madteam CWM
and ext partition size mostly depends on you app usage and SD card size..
if you are a heavy gamer and install lotta apps then 1GB ext is enuf.. else 512MB is fine.. select SWAP size atleast 64MB or more.. some rom's makes use of SWAP and use it as secondary RAM

Open link2sd and Select ext partition type most probably ext3 or 4
Tick automatic move to SD
And reboot
Must have root permission though

I use the Typhoon rom too. And used it without flashing anything else for about 4 months .
Anyways, this rom already comes with an a2sd script. U dont need link2sd. The default script in the rom mounts the ext partition. I suggest u uninstall link2sd, and try rebooting. But i think people will probably have better suggestions

And wait a minute, you partitioned ur sd card Twice? once with the recovery, then with the minitool partition wizard?

Op is asking how to remove partition.. not how to wipe/format partition.. so your answer is wrong for this question. So the correction..
You would remove it if you don't want to use the second or third(swap) partition anymore.
@ op.. use any partition managers like minitool, easus etc to remove it or as stated above windows disk management will do.. you would have to delete both partitions in sdcard and create a new partition of fat32.. search in Google.. you will find good guides..
But make a backup of sdcard first before doing it..

err.. no.
Formatting only resets data on that partition. I mean it only clears data from that partition.. it won't delete the partition. Say you have 2 partition.
If you format in phone. It will format first partition. Second partition data will be intact. And it won't be deleted either.

just use any partitioning tool to remove both partitions, then make a fat32 partition of the whole sdcard.

you should be able to use minitool to remvove any sd card partition
copy anything you want to save onto pc
open mini tool
delete all partitions on sd card
create a new partition of fat32
hit apply
you could if you wanted just merge the partitions or delete the unwanted partition then extend the other partition into unused space but the above method is quick and simple
Try formatting the sd-ext on CWM advanced tab

Could someone guide me or explain how exactly does A2SD script work? When I do everything in terminal emulator(su, a2sd install, y, n, y), If I recall correctly, when I did that in past, the internal storage memory was still going down as I was installing various apps. Why is that?

Please do NOT install A2SD with this ROM. It cannot do anything useful. It might even mess up things. A2SD is no longer required as we have something more fancy right now, which is called "DirectSD".

As heavy apps user, you should probably use a larger sd-ext for data (e.g. 6GB as proposed by walter).

EDIT: Also, in 4ext recovery, how can I know, which sd-ext partition is what(when i'm partitioning sd card in 4ext recovery, it just gives me the option to select size for 1st sd- ext partiton, 2nd sd-ext partition, swap, and the rest will be fat32)? You don't need two sd-ext partitions for CarbonROM. Just read post#1 or ask there.
Oh. Sorry. I'd like an admin/mod to delete this and my previous 2 posts in that case.

can you link apps to second partition using link2sd and reboot the system and watch the linked apps working flawlessly? Is your 2nd partition mounting automatically at boot?
(I guess you didn't link, you did the "app2sd" thing instead of linking).

I use link2sd and i "move" app to sdcard, not "link", and work fine.
I don't partition my sdcard, simply move app to release space into internal memory.
