CM10 Bootlooping with Franco M5 kernel - Galaxy Tab 2 General

I have a galaxy tab 2 10.1 running cm10's 8/292012 nightly. I used franco kernel updater to auto flash Milestone 5. The auto flash seemed to work, my device restarted and is now boot looping at the new cm10 startup screen animation. I attempted to reboot into cwm recovery but can't access it. What are my options to access recovery and restore to my previous version of cm10 prior to the Franco M5 auto flash? Are there any options that will allow me to use a Mac as an option. I do not currently have access to a PC? Any help is appreciated.

I think you try to enter download mode by volume down+power then try flashing with heimdall for mac

[Q] Problem with Dualboot on A500.

Hello everyone, could someone help me? On my A500, some of the options of boot menus do not work anymore since I installed this dualboot http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1619913. I can only start with Primary Kernel Image, when I try to enter into recovery mode (or in fastboot mode) crashes the tablet.
What can I do to restore the boot menus that I had with Android 3.2 (ClockworkMod recovery rev 1.3.4) without dualboot?
Thanks to all.
since the last update of Acer Recovery Installer I managed to install the recovery CWM 1.7 and everything work again. Now I wish I could remove the dualboot screen ...

[Q] Recovery and Bootloader no longer working with Motley Kernel.

Hello, I recently flashed the Motley Kernel to my Nexus 7 and it is working great. Then I decided to flash MultiRom so I can flash Ubuntu. When i tried rebooting into the recovery menu from applications (Goo Manager, Quick Boot, and ROM Manager) and from the hardware buttons, my Nexus 7 would just freeze and i have to shut it down by holding the power button, which then also makes it reboot. Does anybody know the cause of this? Any help would be appreciated, thank you.
It couldn't have messed up the bootloader. Are you sure you can't get into that?

Clear cache and dalvik from recovery.

already tried by removing battery for some time but no luck phone doesn't open. Even the sgy logo doesn't appear.....
To start with you got mount errors in stock kernel as it doesn't support ext4 system partition - Merruk Whitexp percy & hells fusion #50 do
If you can get into recovery mode - format data after flashing stock rom via odin
If you can only get into download mode - reflash stock rom correctly using the firmware packages on dokys thread in dev section
If you can't get into either normally
turn off phone
remove everything from it (battery sd sim)
connect phone to pc via usb
open odin on pc
with battery still removed press keys to enter download mode
with keys pressed still reinsert battery
phone should be in download mode
if not you need a USB jig or take to service centre as you flashed the wrong firmware or not correctly

[Q] Powering On doesn't always work CM 10.2

I've had this problem since I first flashed the 10.1 nightlies months ago, and I was curious if anyone else has noted this problem.
When I turn off or reboot my phone, more often than not the Samsung Galaxy S4 logo screen just hangs there, without booting into the OS. I often have to reboot my phone 4 or 5 times to get CM to boot. This has been happening more and more frequently too.
Does anyone else have this issue?
Which recovery/version are you using to wipe/flash?
According to Cyanogenmod this is already a known issue. Check their Original Cyanogenmod thread and post #2.
Just found out myself.

I'm going to take a wild stab in the dark and say TWRP. I've never had an issue with any other recovery after formatting data.

Most likely it's a problem with TWRP.
Just wondering, how would someone with TWRP flash to CWM? Would they have to use odin to flash to stock, root and then download clockworkmod to flash? Or can I just flash CWM over TWRP?
Im running slim bean with twrp 2.5.0.2 and experience this problem.
When stuck on Samsung screen boot into recovery. When in twrp recovery use the option in the lower right to boot into recovery again. Then use that same option to boot system.

Use CWM instead of TWRP. I was using TWRP and had this issue 1 out of 3 reboots. I haven't had the Samsung logo hang since I flashed CWM.

[Q] Defect CM10.1, Teamwin Recovery defect, fix & install KitKat

Hello,
I currently have installed CM 10.1-20130709-NIGHTLY-mb526 (Android 4.2.2, 2.6.32.9-AeroKernel), but I had a problem yesterday (phone would not boot).
So I did a Cache/Dalvik wipe, and after reboot it optimized all the apps but looped at "opening apps".
So today I decided to reinstall the above mentioned rom. But after installation it turned out to be defect somehow (e.g. the unlock screen will never appear, altough it is activated; in the swipe down menu the right-above button won't appear/won't work; browser won't turn on; home button does not work etc.).
So I decided to give KitKat a try. I visited this page by Quarx and I would begin with the Recovery Update. I put the update recovery zip on the sd card and install it via TeamWinRecovery.
After reboot, the TeamWinRecovery won't turn on and it simpy reboots. So now I am stuck. How do I install/recover TeamWinRecovery (or any necessary Recovery to install KitKat?).
After the installation I can simply install the latest KitKat rom, right? Or is there anything else necessary (kernel update etc.?). If I don't like KitKat, can I simply flash the latest CM10.2 rom?
Thank you very much!
Edit: The first rom i woul like to try is cm-11-20140117-NIGTHLY-mb526 (this is the KitKat, right?) and if this is not stable enough for me I would install cm-10.2-20131020-NIGHTLY-mb526 (Jelly Bean, right?). The reason I want to change is that I do not think the CM10.1 I have installed is neither stable nor perfomant.
Edit2: I tried the GooManager but it did not work! After reboot into Recovery screen stays black and reboots again.

Hello, i had a similar problem and i finally flashed a new sbf then CM10.1 and after that CM10.2 and it worked. As for recovery the only way that worked for me is with cwm through 2init.apk. CM11 seems unstable atm...

SBF is the only option. The reason why CM10.1 didn't work as intended is that you must have used full gapps.

Hi,
I think I used the minimal Gapps linked in the thread! And no, sbf is not an option right now as I do not have acces to a Windows based PC where I have rights to install software!
Any other solution how I can restore/install TeamWinRecovery? Should I try 2ndinit?
Thanks anyway and regards kernel
There is a method through ADB explained by @YetAnotherForumUser in CM11 thread by Quarx. This if you can enter in boot menu.

adb is neiher an opion, I currently have no acces to a computer with root-acces!
I read somewhere that 2ndinit won't work wih a custom rom installed, ist this correct?
Regards kernel
Yes is correct. You must start from sbf when you have access to a computer.
