hey,
i'm no expert on this subject... but from what ive read, task29 clears your nand so basically you don't have anything to boot now. thats why you are stuck..
get a NAND ROM of OS of your choice, follow its instructions, and you're good to go !

coming from android 2.2, you will probably need to update magldr and install cwm, however the radio will be fine.
so, no details, you can find all this easily, but briefly
download magldr 1.13
download the nand toolkit
put the phone into bootloader and connect usb
flash magldr
when restarts into magldr menu - select usb flasher
use nand toolkit to flash required partition size as given in teh first post of teh rom you want to use. (Look for a number like ..5/150/5, or 'system partition 150' for example, means choose 150 in the nand toolkit. leave cache as it is, its not important.
when restarts to magldr menu choose 8 - AD recovery to start cwm
use cwm - advanced to create an ext partition on your sd card (this will wipe ALL the card, so backup anything you wanna keep)
put the rom.zip you wanna use on the sd card
in cwm - instal zip from sd = choose zip - select the zip file
reboot
done.

for the super noob, try the link below

sorry, but i want to flash nand version of android nor sd card version coz it will not consumed much buttery power, i have downloaded hd2 tool kit and already done first 3 steps
now which nand rom will be perfect i dont know , plz guide me , and provide downloading link also so i can download easily, plz
thanks in advance

There is no perfect rom, they're all great. Pick one, flash it. If you don't like it, flash another.

i'm now using Jb_PA-1.99 & seems ok, give it try

i flashed DFT-EO-NAND room, as per instructions found , but such type of error is shown:-
Error happen
Read below for more information
Error Description: USB init failed
Info: .\RSPL\RSPL.cpp (723)
what is this , and how it can be solve.

now previous error about usb has solved,
and flashed DFT-EO-NAND room to my t-mobile hd2
but an other error have occur that is booting error
such as ( 1E fetal Hit )
what is this , and how it can be solve.

for a start thats a REALLY old proof of concept rom, possibly the least advanced rom in the whole hd2 section, and the only rom that uses the daf.exe flashing process. (The how-to you followed is really out of date no doubt)_
My advice, go get typhoon rom, get the nand toolkit, boot into magldr, usb flasher, run the toolkit, choose 200 in teh left, 5 for cache, and click repartition, then put the typhoonrom.zip on sd card, into magldr - 8 ad recovery - flash zip from sd - choose zip - point it at teh zip on your sd, , , done.

Radio and Rom flashing problem

Before I get started, I've flashed 4 different roms onto my phone before along with flashing the radio and installing Magldr, so I can't quite figure out what I'm doing wrong this time around
On my phone right now - MAGLDR 1.13
Radio is SPL-2.08.HSPL 8G XE CotullaHSPL
I've also got ClockworkMod v1.3 installed
No ROM? My phone isn't booting into anything right now
Alright, I've set my phone into the bootloader, got an active connection and ran the CustomRUU.exe for both radio version 2.15 and 2.14.50 and for some reason, when completed it doesn't seem to have updated my radio. The program finishes and completes with no errors, but when I go to check in the tricolor bootloader, it's still version 2.08?
My ultimate goal is to get this ROM installed http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=917590 CleanDROID v2.51 - Froyo+CM
Now it says to update my radio to at least 2.12 but I don't know why it's not updating? And because of this, I cannot seem to flash the rom. When flashing the ROM, i am approached with this error:
Happen error
Read below for more information
Error Description: Config load failed.
Info: .\RSPL\RSPL.cpp (712)
Error Description: CONFIG: file not exist
Info: .\RSPL\RSPL.cpp (346)
I have no idea what's going on or what I should do. I don't exactly see what I'm doing wrong or what steps are missing. I've never had so much of a hassle with rom and radio flashing before, it's aggravating me and I must figure it out lol!
Thanks in advance for all the help

Firstly despite being on d right path, u've got ur info slightly wrong.
"SPL-2.08.HSPL 8G XE CotullaHSPL" is ur installed HSPL & NOT ur radio version...Assuming u were still running WInMo, u would have noticed d change in radios u flashed at the bottom of the TMobile boot-up screen...Rest assured there r no major problems here cuz it appears u've already installed d radio...
***You've Performed HSPL and installed MAGLDR 1.13....so Good.
***You also performed a CWM install but the ROM thread u posted is not a CWM build....Meaning it's a DFT build and does't need CWM installed.
Nw here's what u'll do.
>>Since a 2.12.50.xx radio is recommended by the rom dev...Flash it normally (thru bootloader mode) if u haven't already....hweva check out my signature for the radio i'm using and where 2 get it.
>>Reboot ur device into MAGLDR by pressing down the power button when starting up.
>>Scroll down & select USB flasher
>>Connect phone to PC with USB cable (allow it to install drivers if necessary)
>>Then flash the ROM with the supplied DFT flasher (DAF.exe present in the downloaded folder).
>>Sit back n relax.
*** Its that simple.***
P.S. Flashing a dft build will remove ur cwm installation...its a known fact dat both cannot co-exist.
I installed CWm because I was planning on flashing this ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=933951
But I gave up because I kept on getting the following error as well:
Error Description: Config load failed.
Info: .\RSPL\RSPL.cpp (712)
Error Description: CONFIG: file not exist
Info: .\RSPL\RSPL.cpp (346)

Same numbers and text
How can I check what radio I've flashed? Also, I don't think i have WinMo installed anymore as my phone just boots straight to MAGLDR after failing to load a android nand (but how can it when none is installed lol).
Since I've gone through the CustomRUU.exe for both 2.14 and 2.15, do I already have the radio flashed? Nothing went wrong and the process was completed
I've already done everything you posted before my original post, I just on getting those .RSPL errors.

Hmmm...Try this then.
Perform a Task29.
Flash a 2.15.50.14 radio.
Install MAGLDR 1.13.
Install CWM...(If needed & Paying attention to which particular clockwork partitioning system will work for you desired build).
Re-download the android build..(cuz i think some files might ave messed up while downloading).
Find an alternative means (e.g. thru sd card readers / thru CWM's mount storage system) to transfer the zipped build to ur memory card...Avoid using MAGLDR's inbuilt usb mass storage utility as its been reported 2 have a few issues during transfers.
If u also have a TMobile HD2, u might be interested in d build i'm currently running..It supports CWM n flashing it and or updates ave never given me issues.

[Q] MAGLDR: Help

Hi
I have a few question about MAGLDR (i dind't find the answer on xda and google or the answers were not clear for me).
Actually when i want to install an Android ROM i used only the ROM which can be installed with an Android directory + haret.exe + ...
I would like to go to MAGLDR because there are more ROMs available but i have questions.
I know that there is 2 modes with MAGLDR: NAND or SD
Sorry in advance for maybe the stupid questions :
1/ Is the "Boot AD SD" mode equivalent to an install with an Android directory + Haret.exe + .... (=First way to install Android on Leo device found a long time ago) ?
2/ Is the "Boot AD SD" mode of MAGLDR doesn't touch to Winmo ROM: we still boot on WinMo and after go to Android?
3/ Do we need to reinstall fully the WinMo version after installing an SD Android version with MAGLDR?
4/ Is it possible after poweron to choose between Winmo and SD Android installed with MAGLDR?
Regards
Well, well, well...
U have that all wrong m8. U r just lost in all of that.
MAGLDR is only one of the tools used for flashing there r some more..
Basically u have two options how to flash your Android.
1st DFT mode - u need to have MAGLDR installed
2nd CWR(ClockWorkMode Recovery) mode - u need to have MAGLDR + CWR
Well I think u should stay with the 1st option cos u new to this and u can find it easier than CWR
So go here **HD2 Android NAND Development - Sticky Roll-Up Thread**
And here [GUIDE] Flashing Your First HD2 NAND Android Rom [For Newbs]
U will find all what u need there

If u flash your android ROM than your WM is gone and if u want it back than u have to reflash it again

MAGLDR will replace the Hardspl i have?
There are still something that i don't understand;
Why using MAGLDR in "Boot AD SD" it erases the WinMo ROM?
In this mode the Androir Rom is not only in the SD card?
Regards
No MAGLDR will not replace the HARDSPL.MAGLDR is just the software whats loaded to the phone and is used to flash, update,..etc
About the Boot AD SD- this option is used only if u want to boot from MAGLDR into CWR whats another software whats u using to flash the ROM from SD card.
In MAGLDR is also an option "USB Flasher " what u using if u want to flash ROM using DFT method whats similar to flashing the WM ROM's. So u connect the phone with USB to the PC than u boot into MAGLDR and u choose USB Flasher. Than phone will wait for connection with PC. After u just run the DAF.exe from the ROM of your choice what u downloaded and the flash procedure starts.
Its similar to the WM flashing.
In CWR flashing u copy the ROM into your SD card and u flash it from there with no need of PC.
If u flash the Android ROM into the phone by DFT or CWR mode either of these erase the WM ROM
Also if u use NAND ROM its mean the whole ROM is flashed into the internal memory of the phone where the others use SD card to store the data on it to save the internal memory.
And u can also express your gratitude just by simple click on the Thanks button on the bottom of my posts.

Knowledge is power my friend and d answers u seek are but a click away...All u have 2 do is read, read n do more reading...follow all instructions written by devs to d letter as they were written for a reason...Wat reason?...
Avoiding errors or turning your beloved HD2 into an "Expensive Paper-Weight"....Getting android onto ur device is quite easy, u just have 2 put in d time 2 understand certain terms n how d needed softwares work...So summary?...Start reading from here. When u have properly familiarized urself with flashing then visit the HD2 android development section n check out several builds available...u must make a choice urself as we wouldn't know wat u lyk...so feel free 2 test as many as u can.
P.S. Its crucial u first perform a HSPL (2.08 HSPL) on ur fone before doing ANYTHING else.
The post above isn't really helpful. He's obviously read a lot already lol.
I know getting in to flashing and stuff on the HD2 is very confusing at the start, but once you learn it once you learn it forever.
Basically first off, you need to flash HSPL 2.08 to your phone. To do so download 'HSPL4' from these forums and flash that. Just search for it and you'll find it. It'll have instructions on how to install it on the thread which is very easy.
Just boot to SPL and connect to USB and run the .exe file inside of HSPL4 and choose 2.08.HSPL from the drop down menu.
After this you need to flash the newest radio which is 2.15.50.14. There's a sticky in all the HD2 development threads that have all the radio's. Just look in the WinMo or Android section and it'll be stickied. You basically then open the file you downloaded with the radio in it, boot to HSPL (you've just flashed HSPL over SPL) and run the RomUpdateUtility and just click on all the next and update buttons on the window that'll pop up and it will install. Obviously you need your USB cable plugged in for this too.
After that, you need to flash MAGLDR. I can't get links at the moment but you should easily be able to get a link to the MAGLDR thread and download it. After you've downloaded it to your PC, it's basically the exact same procedure as flashing a radio. Bootloader > USB connected to phone > open RomUpdateUtilty and follow instructions and flash. After this finishes installing you're basically done and all you need to do is flash your Android ROM. Just go in to the NAND Development section and chose a ROM to start from.
Another option is to flash Clockworkmod Recovery after MAGLDR.
You simply flash that by going in to MAGLDR (keep holding power/end key while phone is booting) and go to USB Flasher using your volume buttons then going in to it by the call button. Then opening the .DAF file on your PC and following the instructions and clicking next. Obviously again with your USB cable plugged in too. This is how you flash ROM's/Clockwork.
Any other problems I'd be more than happy to help with.
Just to mention too - the HD2 is very difficult to brick so don't worry about bricking your phone as I don't think there's actually a way to do it other than flashing the wrong radio if you have a TMoUS HD2 and you flash a .51 radio which you won't do as I've told you the correct radio to flash.
from the info he posted about his phone, it seems it already has the latest radio installed (2.15.50.14) I'm guessing that he's got a phone from somewhere in EU since the TMOUS came with the 2.08.50 radio, unless I'm mistaken, and there are some later models of the US hd2 that have the 2.15 radio, but anyways if the info is correct then he doesn't need to worry about the radio, he needs :

Woops my bad, didn't even read the OP info part. Well done for posting the links though as I can't at the moment.
Also about clockwork, make sure the you have the right clockwork partition for the ROM or else you'll get stuck on a boot-loop. You'll usually find the partition info in the ROM thread and then you just edit the flash.cfg file found in your clockwork folder using notepad.

Sometime wrong radio can cause that issue.
Make sure that the radio is 2.15.xxx.xxx.
Now, you should go into bootloader and try to flash the radio, and then restart doing task 29, flashing MAGLDR.
If you succeed, your phone will automatically bring you into MAGLDR screen.
From there you can flash Android or WP7
Good luck
I now downloaded my "old" radio version 2.15.50.14
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=611787
It seems to complete.. didnt jump from 0% to 100% in 1 sec..... so thats good
Then the task29 seems to work as well since my ROM is clean!!
BUT agian when I romupdate MGLDR it start and complete very fast... goes from 0 to 100% within a few sec...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=893618
and agian stops at the HTC startup screen.....
As extra information I can say that when I try to install MGLDR the RomUpdate state that the current image version is... blank
and that I can install Image Version 2.00.000.0
And then when I start it takes a few sec.....

Can it be a problem with the SD card if there are no connection or a defect card?
I get exactly the same behavior if I remove the SD card from the phone!

[Q] PLEASE HELP NEEDED - Beginner

I am trying to re-flash WIN6.5 with no luck
1. I installed HSPL2.8 and MAGDLR 1.13 with the hope of trying CWM and loading Android to NAND.
2. I used ClockworkMod Recovery to install zip from SDCard using TyphooN_CM7_v2.8.0-cLK.zip
3. Progress looked like install was completed
4. When re-booting, got message NAND Kernel open failed
I TRIED TO REFLASH MY WIN6.5 from the RED/GREEN/BLUE bootloader menu but now I do not get a valid connection via USB
The Bootloader screen shows 'USB' at the bottom and when I click the Custom_RUU.exe I used to load my Custom Win6.5 ROM I get the first screen showing the update button etc. but when I press update, the progress bar appears on the PC and my HD2 but no update actually occurs
FINALLY AFTER A FEW MINUTES I GET A 'RECOVERY SCREEN' and update failed message.
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP???? I will gladly 'Donate' some beer money
when you turn on your phone hold the red power button until the magldr screen pops up then go to flash to usb then download the stock rom for win 6.5 it should be in the win6.5 development threads on XDA the rom should be a .exe file, run the file once u establish a usb connection with the computer. if you can't get on the magldr screen, try going to the boot screen ( the one with the color stripes) and re-flash your magldr or the hspl4. as long as you can get into the magldr boot screen then you should be able to flash android or winmo. hope that helps.

This couldn't be more wrong lol. You can't flash WinMo ROM's from MAGLDR, only WP7 and Android.
Anyway why don't you just try flash a different Android ROM? Even one that has a daf and not a .zip that you have through CWM.
If you do want to go back to stock though, download your stock ROM from the HTC site or T-mobile depending on which phone you have (T-mobile say t-mobile at the top and has red and green call/end buttons). Then once you've downloaded it, rename the file to .zip (should be .exe by default) then using WinRar open the file and look for a file that ends with '.nbh' in WinRar. Once you've found that file just extract it to wherever you want and rename it to 'LEOIMG.nbh'. Once you've done that, place it on the root of your SD card, then POP your SD card back in to your HD2, boot to HSPL (tri colour) and you'll come to a screen which will allow you to flash the ROM from SD and you're done.
PS. you need a 4GB or smaller SD card to flash it.
Good luck.

Good luck.

WOW!! for a newbie, u sure know how to go for d big guns ...Anyway according to your post, i tk it u downloaded the "TyphooN_CM7_v2.8.0-cLK.zip" file ryt?...Well in [cLK/MAGLDR]TyphooN CyanogenMod 7 RC2+ v2.8.4's thread, it tells you there are two ways to install this particular build...I'm guessing u tried installing the "TyphooN_CM7_v2.8.0-cLK.zip" thru MAGLDR-CWM instead of following Charmacas's cLk tutorial.
So in d spirit of learning, Start d whole process again (Task 29, etc), go back to the build's thread (link above), choose which method is most comfortable 2 u ( i recommend MAGLDR) and re-download the latest & APPROPRIATE build for the process or just download from the links below....
MAGLDR Method.
cLK Method.
Nw abt reflashing WinMO, U've got HSPL installed so u r good...Just perform a Task 29 (dis wipes ur phone clean, leaving ur HSPL & radio intact) from the bootloader screen...Should usb fail? unplug n try another usb port on your pc...Then simply flash ur desired WinMo ROM.
This my friend is what happens when dev's instructions are not followed...Do read, understand n be more careful nxt time...Donate to the devs if i helped u.
All done !

Help please! Update problem after installing MAGLDR V1.13

Hi, Tried installing my first Nexus ICS Android on HTC HD2
following instruction here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1434860
Got to the point where I got MAGLDR v1.13 installed and running.
Then found that I needed HD2 Android NAND Tool and Repartitioned System size to 200 Mb
using USB flasher mode on the MAGLDR.
Then NAND Tool suggested that running Wipe(taks 29) to be a good idea before attempting to install Android so I tried running this as well.
I got the phone into tri-colour USB mode and started wipe. USB mode disappeared replaced by HTC progress bar but it got stuck at 0% and timedout.
I tried recovering to HTC original WWE ROM but it also gets stuck at 0% progress.
Currently Bootloader starts and loads a options, I can also go into USB mode but nothing will start updating the phone it gets stuck at 0%.
I think what repartitioning created a problem but I am unsure how to recover it and need your help!

Wrong forum, should be in the Q&A. You'd have thought it would be obvious, seeing as you're asking a QUESTION, but somehow people don't pick that up
Also, you really need to read more. There isn't any point in installing MAGLDR then Task29ing, in fact there is very little point in Task29ing at all unless you experience major problems with your phone. A simple data wipe (in CWM) and repartition has never failed me.
If you did a task 29 after doing the other steps first then you wiped everything back off. Install magldr again then CWM and then install your rom of choice.
Also for being a member since 2005 you should know not to EVER post a question in development.
Mods please move to Q&A

Sorry for posting it in the wrong forum.
Many thanks for the comments...I cannot install anything at present because once update process starts it times out at 0%. Task29 did not work either - it also gets stuck at 0%.
Only thing that works is Boot loader and USB mode.
As Boot loader is working I tried to install NAND Android following this instruction:
2. FLASH YOUR ANDROID ROM
The Original NAND Android Thread by Cotulla is *HERE*
NOTE1: This section is only applicable AFTER you have flashed MAGLDR to your Device
NOTE2: Make sure your phone is still connected via usb cable before starting
* When your phone Reboots it will Enter the MAGLDR Boot Menu Screen *
1. Press the 'Volume Down' button to goto Option 5: USB Flasher and press the 'Call' button (far left of the 5 hardware buttons at the bottom)
2. The menu will enter Android Flasher mode and install usb drivers if not present
3. Browse to the folder you extracted your NAND Android Package files to on your pc, right click on Run DAF.exe (or Install.exe if DAF.exe isnt present) and select Run as Administrator
But DAF is giving this error back:
Error happen
Read below for more information
Error Description: USB init failed
Info: .\RSPL\RSPL.cpp (723)
thats all old instructuions.
go get the nand toolkit, and also get hspl3
...
phone into bootloader (tri colour screen, not magldr)
connect usb
run hspl3
choose 2.08.hspl (don't assume its already 2.08.hspl, check it, hanging at 0% is often a sign of no hspl)
when reboots immediately go back into bootloader
*(* from here on you can do all this in the nand toolkit*)*
flash magldr
when it reboots enter magldr
(if phone hangs on a htc screen and doesn't show magldr, you need to flash radio 2.15.50)
phone into magldr
connect usb
choose 'usb flasher'
in toolkit select desired system partition size and cache size
when its finished
phone back into magldr
choose 'ad nand'
this starts cwm
(if you havent yet partitioned your sd card with an ext partitio, look ity up and do it now)
select 'install zip from sd'
select zip from sd
browse to where you dropped the rom.zip file onto your sd card.
when it reboots you're done, , alternatively it failed somewhere, , which step?
if you get apparent driver errors, theres a nice big button called drivers in the toolkit (i think?)
Many thanks that worked like clockwork
