You buy an ipad.
Okay will try Firefox.
Internet connection fine, iPad loads up pages in a tenth of the time thus does.

Normally when I see a thread given 1 star I always give it a 5 star out of habit, but I gave this one a 1 star. I am tired of these threads of people comparing the two against each other. I hate how people are comparing a 200 dollar tablet to a 500 dollar tablet and they expect them to be on par with each other.
It may seem like nonsense but it is a legit question. Best answer is use a different browser. There are tons. Find one with the features you want and get used to it. There are lots of threads about this. Also look into Ad Block app from the market. It really helps in cut down the crap your having to load up and render.

Just to lend my advice, dolphin browser is pretty awesome. I'd give it and Firefoxa try and see if you get any better results. Chrome was just a bit... off to me.
And also, this is not an ipad, and it never will be. While the two play similar roles in our daily lives, they will never be the same. ios is a different os completely and its made out of spare parts of apples LOL. Android tablets aren't going to do everything the same as the iPad. I've personally used the newest iPad and must say I like this nexus 7 much better. Size and weight and screen clarity... nexus for the win

the fact that he's posting from an android phone further supports his unbiased opinion that windows 7 doesn't suck...
also, just because someone uses a particular phone, doesn't mean that he thinks that all other phones suck. with your logic, anyone who doesn't drive a bmw must absolutely be deliberately avoiding all bmw's for the sole purpose that they think bmw's suck.

This is actually nothing new, companies do this all the time. Intel makes money every time AMD sells a cpu with their licensed instruction sets.

sorry just vanilla android, which is what you have before all the manufacturers put the unneeded skin and fiddle with the frame works to make their phones different from one another(these same modification also hinder the speed up that their phones can be updated from each android release)
Its funny actually all these great developers here can get the source code the day its out make a almost fully functioning rom/port while these big name companies stumble around for god knows how long to make an update when they have full access to the drivers and such
While I will admit from froyo to gingerbread was nothing monumental in way of adding lots functionality but security updates those were needed(still waiting to use my nfc to buy sodas from teh coke machines in the mall though)
Enjoy your nexus

Why the hell would you give up your epic 4G for a galaxy S3? It has no keyboard, which you all loved. Most of you won't see 4G till 6-9 months from now. By the time 4G LTE reaches your city, the galaxy S3 will probably be cheaper then it is now. Why upgrade and pay for a LTE phone, when you can't even use the service?
Sent from my SPH-D700 using Tapatalk
Even though it might seem like the devs love the keyboard for the Epic most probably don't use it as much as they thought they would have when they purchased the Epic. There's may Epic users who still don't have wimax 4g in their areas, with the dev to flasher ratio I doubt many devs have access to wimax 4g. So, Lte coming to them in the next couple of months why should they care. The devs might still work on the Epic if they decide not to trade it in.

1. At the time of purchasing the Epic I was fond of the the keyboard, but I was also coming from a HTC Hero which was a much smaller phone. Since then I have grown used to the software keyboards and it's responsiveness. I have also grown annoyed with how bulky my phone is due to a hardware keyboard and how even bulkier it is when a case is put on it.
2. It's time to move on to a phone which will have a lot more developer support.
3. It's faster and better.
4. I live in San Antonio which is one of the very first areas to get LTE.

No I am not kidding (again, sarcasm in case your wondering). I'm thinking of buying an iphone 5 and a boat to go along with it, for when Apple maps navigation routes include a river or sea crossing.
I got rid of my Ipad and bought a Galaxy tab 10.1. Maybe not as smooth but much more functional. Barely even touch my laptop anymore, unless Odin is required.

I hope you're joking. IOS does have some better apps, but Android is more fun. BTW if you had read my first post you would see I have an iPad 2, as does the wife. If I want to see some of the AMAZING apps and features I play with hers.......that's what she said!

I believe that was sarcasm because Apple Maps is currently facing "some technical problems.
Internet sarcasm isn't working very well and probably never will.

I got rid of my Ipad and bought a Galaxy tab 10.1. Maybe not as smooth but much more functional. Barely even touch my laptop anymore, unless Odin is required.

I won't never trust a person who bought an Apple product in his life, ever.

Yeah I use mobile Odin but there still are times you need a laptop PC, like when a phone is new and needs root or its been semi bricked.

Ok, maybe it's not completely useless but how on earth can a top-device-less-than-three-months-ago lag at every single move I make?
The situation gets considerably better with cyanogenmod and I'll never stop thanking devs for that, anyway it's still not the fluidity you'd expect.
Has it finished its time?
Edit: I must say that it's all going on from the jelly bean update, can't blame ics

Is powersave on ? That could explain it and don't generalise because you could just have a faulty unit everyone else or almost everyone else is doing fine.

Stock tw has zero lag for me. Its up to you to flash experimental software.
And did you really need to start a thread to whine? Hmmm...

The only reports of lag are often caused by overclocking and the SoC begins to wear down.
I find the device faster than any I've tried, On CM10.1 its not as smooth as Nexus 4 because Project Butter is a load of **** on a non-Nexus device but it performs tasks better in my opinion.

You're definitely in the minority. Millions of S3s have been sold to millions of happy android users.I've had 0 problems with mine as have many others. Usually the only problems are caused by the owners themselves. Don't take my word for it, just read some posts in any of the S3 forums.

both are the same for me, assuming I'm using a custom Samsung ROM and a custom kernel

First aim is to know what's the real situation, what should I do to get my device get properly.

So... you have read plenty of threads here, and you do not know what the Touchwiz is...
Furthermore, you have provided all of the necessary info (ROM,kernel, recovery, apks installed, MODs etc.) to properly assess your problem.
Last but not least, you have carefully read the XDA rules, and you have posted this mess in General section, while it definitely should be in Q&A...

I started a same thread like this i which i disscussed how n y i regret buying this phone n said i shld hv gone for one x+ but unfortunately the thread was closed n most of the people didnt agree with me tht this phone doesnt behave the way it shld except a few. Few thing i noticed through. Most of the people who dnt agree with the phone being **** are either first time users or thy hv always stuck with samsung like some do with apple. Whatever u tell thm thy wont agree.some even compared it with one x while i was talking abt one x+ .
Anways i do agree with u. This phone is aweful. This phone needs some serious dev work n I think the lagging is due cortex cpu. Tegra pr snapdragon i know work very well.
Anyways smart marketing by samsung to lure people in,others shld learn from samsung bt only the marketing part

That time of the month I guess?
Never experienced any lag with any of the roms I've tried so far. If it did, a wipe did the trick. Been usimg stock ics/jb, leaked jb, sammy omega, wanam, cm10, cm10.1, paranoid, aokp, ultima. I think I had a few others in between as well. Been using stock or siyah depending on if I forget to flash siyah after rom but no lag. Oced to 1.6ghz, uved around 100-150mvs per clock.
Absolute charm except for taking a while when waking device.

Sorry for the section missed.
Other things are stupid. I had a question, I put the question out just like normal people do.
I don't think people start doing questions only after they've read all xda posts, uve serious problems if u do.

totally disagree with that, i have had loads of expaerience with android devices, phones and tablets and i have to say that the s3 is my first samsung phone, and its amazing in every way i love it, best device i have owned.
maybe your just expecting a little too much from your device set your expectations too high perhaps

Thank god someone got what I mean. It's been advertised as top, it simply doesn't have the numbers to be qualified as top. I really can't imagine myself using an ios device, but have you seen you does iphone reacts to user stimuli? It's on another planet x.x
If there's an android that has iphone's responsiveness to human stimuli, that's the perfect smartphone :&
Anyway, could it possibly be the single gb of memory?
How much you guys can feel it doubled in nexus 4/ note ii/ i9305?

No idea what's going on with your device, zero lags here and this is my third android device (in 6 years) and by far the best. As for no longer being top of the tree after three months (I thought it was released may 2012? no?) that's technology my friend. Try reading around and installing either an aosp rom, or a modded samsung base, BTW cm is not great on the sgs 3 due mainly to Samsungs policy of not releasing the sources or documentation the devs require.
