Installing the Bootstrapper apk bricked your device.
To fix it, you have to SBF your device.

my defy is not being recognised by any of my laptop.
while i am successfully able to charge it from a wall socket.
not even in bootloader mood it is being able to detect any the defy using any of the available usb cord.
I am using the quarks gingerbread rom 11 11 11.
please help me as fast as possible.
and one more thing i have already tried to reset the cache.
will it be possible using bluetooth to be able to get back to froyo rom(so that i am able to send it to motorola service).
and also when the usb cord is inserted white lit glows up for a sec and will then switch off.
I am able to use my defy normally otherwise.
Seems like a physical problem with either your USB port or USB cable.
If you change the cable and it doesn't work - then it's the USB port in the phone, and you'll need to repair it.
Actually not it is not even booting it is stuck at m logo.
can i change the m logo(cyanogen) to normal motorola logo so that i can take it to motorola service centre(as it is still in warranty) by installing some zip.
i am able to access the 2nd init from it.
and more thing when i go to bootloader mode and connect the usb it says usb is connected.

Doesn't recognize RSD Lite , how can I do that ? There's no data connection between pc and phone , just energy .
You boot into bootloader , you plug your phone onto pc with the newest driver and get no connection in rsd lite ?

Hello folks,
Ive written beforehand in here asking for a little issue I had with my milestone 2 (Assuming a dead usb port and a bootloop)
anyway I got replaced the USB connector, but My phone wont show up on RSD lite... No matter what version I use (tried everything from 4.9 to the latest, nor the drivers.) Im on win 7 ultimate x64, but tried on ubuntu, win xp and win 7x32 having no success.
The phone WONT charge over usb, even with it's usb port replaced.
Teh phone will enter stock recovery, and bootloader mode ( it´s on 07.12)
The phone will also recognize it is "connected" on bootloader (It reads USB Connected OK to program), but the PC wont recognize it.
any suggestions???
may I have to flash it with a "box"??

Either your USB port got replaced badly, or you don't have the drivers: http://www.motorola.com/staticfiles/Support/Experiences/Global_Drivers/USB_Drivers_bit_4.7.1.zip
Try a different cable, diferent port, different computer...
Hey Guys,
I'm having trouble with my A953 Milestone 2.
I installed that awesome JB rom and I am now trying to get back to stock.
For some reason my milestone shows up as a UNKNOWN DEVICE via USB. I can't seem to charge it when plugged into a wall charger.
When booted into jellybean it SAYS its charging, but isn't
When I connect the Milestone 2 to my computer and run RSD Lite to flash a new rom I can't seem to get my PC to recognize the device correctly.
Any ideas?
Thanks very much for your help guys.

I've tried several different computers and usb cables and operating system.
Its not the cable.
I once have a similar issure. The PC dont recognize my MS2 with CM9. I fixed it with following steps.
1. Install Moto driver in PC
2. Install RSD lite
3. Resart the phone into AP Fastboot mode.
4. Flash stock ROM
5. Root it and flash custon ROM
I have the Droid Razr M Verizon but not the developers version.
Ap Fasboot Screen it says
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
AP FastBoot Flash Mode (S)
10.9B(*) (sha-1e9f557,2012-10-21 17:10:35)
eMMc Info: Size 8GB
Device is Locked, Status Code:0
Battery OK
Transfer Mode:
USB Connected
FastBoot Reason: Boot menu selected
usb connected
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I had safestrap installed as well.
I decided to backup stock. So i could install Energy Rom on Stock Slot!
I then Wiped Factory/Cache/davlick on stock slot Because i was going to restore Then my phone restarted!
I realizes that safestrap will no longer work I can acess AP Fastboot but Rsd Lite 6.14 and 5.7 will not recognizable my device.
I am Running Window 8 64-bit. When I connect my device in the Devices and Printer section it says Fastboot SMQ S
I have tried 3 different Cables
My Phone will charge!
I am willing to go without RSD Lite and do normal/old school CMD Fastboot
Could anyone Help me!!!
I wondered the same thing, but I made sure to ask first (I guess you confirmed what they said).

a hard factory rest could help, but not sure.
also, reading from your steps, it looks like you did a factory rest AFTER installing the ROM? that could be the problem.
I recently did the same exact thing, using the same exact ROM, and encountered the same exact problems. I used RSDlite 6.1.4, but it was on a Windows 7 machine. Do you have access to a Windows 7 computer? I'm not sure if that would be the issue. Also, did you enter the fastboot screen and then connect your cable?
When you connect the phone and are in RSD, does it still show that something is connected? I had to restore my phone and I used RSD 6.14. The phone name would not show up in RSD, but it still showed that a device was connected. I just pushed the files and it worked.
RSDlite
Try reinstalling the latest version of RSDlite. I had to on my windows 7 machine and then it worked. Also make sure the phone is in fast boot mode. Hold power + both volume buttons for 10 seconds to get there.
Check this out if you are still having issues...

Fixed i'm so happy
So I was able to fix my razr m.
I am running windows 8 on my main laptop and for some odd reason ADB won't work at all tried all combination to try to get it working but it wouldn', However ADB worked the first time on my secondary laptop running windows 7.
All i did was you RSD Lite 6.14 and pushed the stock rom to my droid razr m and i was back in business. I am now rooted and have safestrap installed again.
Reminder IF ANYTHING IN SAFESTRAP HAS RED TEXT DON'T TOUCH IT, THIS JUST MEANS THAT IF YOU TOUCH IT THEN SAFESTAP WILL EITHER BE DAMAGED OR DELETED. I WAS STUPID ENOUGH TO TOUCH IT.
Hi,
I recently got ahold of a european XT610 which I rooted and flashed to CM7 without problem. Unfortunately I missed the warnings which said not to run bootstrap after installing cyanogenmod... and now I have the infamous bootloop. It gets to the CM loading screen, but goes on indefinitely from there. I know the answer is to restore the motorola sbf, however I can't seem to get my phone to communicate at all via usb. I installed motorola drivers and RSD and all in windows, but the phone seems to ignore the USB completely. I'm normally a linux guy, so I when I tried to plug it in there and watch the output of dmesg, absolutely nothing came up. Holding R, M and power when I plug in the usb causes a black screen after a bit of the motorola logo, but still no USB. Tried a few different cables, and checked them with other devices to confirm they're working.
So any ideas on how to recover the phone?
Update:
I discovered the main step I was missing was that the bootloader can be accessed by holding down both volume buttons and the power with the device off. For some reason I still couldn't get windows to recognize the correct drivers, even after installing the motorola driver package, but good old linux saw it without a problem. Following these instructions I was able to do a quick SBF and now all is good in the world!
same probleme for me?
