[Q] USB device not recognized

I have my galaxy y flashed with JellyBlast4.1 and also merruk kernel 2.5 then reinstalled stock roms because there are so many processes that appears to force stop..
after so many times I reflashed stock rom, jellyblast and merruk the phone cannot go to CWM properly...them CWM menu sometimes appear then mostly its just merruk image with the ClockworkMod Recovery v5.0.2.6 text....
I can still connect to ODIN mode but several PC cant recognize my device...it says USB device not recognized. I installed Kies old version and new version...I also tried using only samsung usb drivers not the kies packages..but still PC saya usb device not recognized...
what can I still do... I'm not able to use my phone for 3 days already...
I tried to connect and disconnect my galaxy y and connect again but I get the same response from the PC....
I also tried to do the reflashing stock rom process via ODIN on other PC's on several computer shops here in my area in Philippines but still cannot reflash stock rom via ODIN because my device cant be recognized...
I have gone to conclusion that some or a specific component of my phone is damaged already...
should I go to service center already???please I still wanna fix this problem on my own with your supports....I dont wanna spend money on service center yet... also I dont have money...im still a student....huhuhuh

Try to flash stock rom via odin on windows vista os pc or windows7 home basic os
I also faced dis prob on my windows7 ultimate os but on windows vista everytime my galaxy y get recognized

can you post SS

Try flashing a different merruk kernel and see whether the pc detects your device.
Don't do it many times as there can be chances of hard brick.

Dude install samsung kies don't update try to wait give it like 5 minutes it works for me using windows 7 ultimate

its now getting detected but git stucked on setup connection on odin 1.85,,,id:com on odin has already turned yellow below with 0:[COM5]

Use linux OS( in computer ) because no drivers are needed there.... :good:
BUT....
I dont know whether ODIN is available for LINUX OS...
Anyway try searching... :good:

Make sure keis is not installed (conflicts with odin) and install Samsung drivers
Or try a different pc or Google what to do when phone not recognised - the answers are there

install samsung drivers
noo need of kies
switch off the phone
and then connect ur data cable to ur pc qnd then pressing the
volume down+home key+powerkey u will
enter into download mode ..
then ur phone will be detected by the pc..

White screen L5 no boot

Ahhhhh I did a wrong KDZ update, L7 instead of L5! Now I have a white screen with lines flickering at the bottom of the screen. When I want to make an USB connection (emergency) then it can`t find the right drivers anymore. New drivers doesn`t work and hard reset neither. Does anybody know a solution or is it end of life for my phone?

you tried download mode ( vol + and - and after plugin the usb which is already connected to pc) witthout battery?
or you have CWM?

Yes I tried that but after connecting my phone the pc want to install the usb driver over and over again. I do have CWM but can`t get in

You have to have the drives installed before connecting the phone. Maybe try install l7 drivers?

I did install the drivers before connecting the phone but the pc wants to install the driver again when I connect the phone. It worked fine before and I tried it on an other computer too and had the same problem. Its like the computer wants to connect and install the usb driver and then disconnect and connect again etc. I think my phone is really broken now my own fault

Try to disconnect from the net while connect the phone Also there is a button to avoid download the drivers
Or you can disable automatic download driver for a moment

It`s just searching for an USB driver on my computer and not on the internet. And it is like find something but then disconnect. Weird problem but my software is screwed up

What is trying to install? LG e610 ? or "Unknown device"
Can you get VID and PID ?

[SOLVED][HELP] USB issue. Cant connect Odin or Sending file

Okay, Here my problem since my phone got drown. After fixed it with my way (Internet yeah), everthing seems work except Usb. The problem are when connect it via usb to my pc (already installed samsung driver) in notif of my phone doesnt show usb connect or usb debugging but it just charging like normal. Tried to flash via odin buit device doesnt appear and yeah in my pc doesnt said its not recognized (Usb doesnt recognized or something like that). Hopefully it will be fixed without bring it to service center.

if not the problem is with the usb port of pc
or the usb port of the phone

phone's usb port is a hardware problem
you have to get it replaced at the service centre........
BTW i wouldn't mind if u press that thanks button

the device might have trouble enumerating especially in windows 8.1
plug it in as normal
then plug any other usb dongle in like a wireless mouse thats already been installed
this will force windows into enumerating the device

As you said i am in windows 8.1 right now, and already tried just a minute ago

iv got windows 8.1 and had same problem
install the samsung usb drivers
put phone into download mode
push up to start connection and it should install drivers

it took me months to figure that one out - even microsoft and samsung hadnt got any ideas
its because windows 8.1 has changed the usb stack and requires that all drivers be digitally signed and has an identifer that the bios can read
this means some old usb device didnt work unless they met condition already although new drivers became available for most things but for some reason samsung havent updated their usb drivers in years (May 5, 2011 is last officall release) so im guessing thats why it doesnt fully work in windows 8.1 and im sure the problem is because its not properly signed so the device fails to enumerate unless you do the plugging in another usb device
other old phones work fine like htc and new samsung phones also work fine so its properly just a strange issue with the way the galaxy y handles usb

Classic problem came out again, my galaxy y still unrecognized.
Yes about 2 hours ago i tell you its succes but after that usb never recognized again.

unfortunatly thats the only solution iv found for windows 8.1 - if you restart the phone or remove the usb cable you have to go through the process again of unplugging cable plugging back in then plugging any other usb dongle in after - its the only way iv found for windows 8.1 to enumerate the device

Still no luck, it always showed doesnt recognized, even other pc and laptop (Win8.1, Win8, WinXp). I think its hardware problem

Oh ya, first time follow your instruction its succes on windows xp, here is scenario (plug my sgy, plug other device which already installed, notif baloon appear as usb not recognized, plug out sgy, plug in on my other pc which installed os windows xp)
Hmm, seems hopeless for this matter

if you have installed the driver correctly using rear usb ports if on a pc and set your phone to download mode correctly there is no reason why odin will not display com then a number in a coloured box under com:id which shows odin is connected and you have android adb device displayed in device manager

you can not use kies to flash or restore firmware on galaxy y - it is not supported and kies is just not needed
if you have installed the usb drivers from the link in my thread (in compatibility mode if on windows 8/8.1) - are using a working usb cable rear usb ports on pc and correct split firmware from my thread it will work
unless you have a faulty usb port/cable it will be due to user error

Are you boot into download mode already? If not , odin will not recognize your phone anyway

install samsung usb driver first n then connect your phone with download mode by usb
Note:make sure that usb driver is install properly before connect ur phone

did you run the usb driver setup in compatibility mode?
right click the setup file
click properties
click compatibility tab
tick box to run in compatibility
select windows xp (service pack 2 will do)
apply
then run the setup
im using windows 8.1 and no problems with me

right click the device
click uninstall
restart the pc
then put phone into download mode
connect usb
push vol up on phone to start connection
drivers should then install

Try to use your cable connected from your pc and your phone again. If the same problem happened, try to connect your phone using that cable to another pc. BUT if that phone is not recognized, I think the problem is in the cable. Try to buy another one, and if same thing happened, the problem is in the usb port of your phone.

[HELP] [i9500] Weird Connection Problem with Download Mode

Hey guys so I decided today to have fun with my S4 (i9500 variant). But I am encountering a weird problem in here.
I am able to connect my phone when it's booted can copy, adb, everything, but the story changes when I put the phone in Download Mode, no sound (default windows device connect sound) is played on my PC and Odin doesn't detect my phone but as soon as I connect my USB cable (while in Download mode) and remove my battery Odin shows "Added!!!" as soon as I put the battery in it shows "Removed!!!" and the phone disconnects!

Video exactly depicts the scenario I am going through but when the guy re-inserts his battery his phone isn't disconnected while mine is.
Yes, I have uninstalled and reinstalled Kies, downloaded drivers separately and installed them everything is perfect from that view.

Maybe u are doing bad process:
1. Put ur phone in DOWNLOAD MODE without touch the battery.
2. Open ODIN (latest version as possible).
3. Conect ur phone to ur pc.
4. Voilá.

Yes sir.

Did you try a different pc? I would try that to rule out the pc factor.

I didn't I'll try on my laptop later, to be honest I don't think PC would a problem ad it works perfectly wheb the phone is booted, also my PC would be impliedly ruled out since it's a powerhouse and everything's perfect from that view.
I think it would be driver or cable problem.
