SD card problem : (

Hello, i was doing scan disk using mechanic yesterday, unfortunetaly my mda crashed [or it was going so slow that i didnt notice], i rebooted device and then *puff*, my data on sd disappeared [not all] but there is still the same amount of memory in use as previous
edit: ok i did logical format ;]

I have the same problem myself. I experienced a total SD data lost (everything in the SD) and I've just experienced a partial SD data lost (the folder 'Program Files'. I've tried looking for an answer but .. can't seems to find any. Hmmm.. I used to backup my memory into my SD.. now I think I have to backup my SD as well.. sigh.
Let me know if you find any answer.

major problem...... B7610

Hey guys .. i had this awful problem on my b7610. My storage card got wiped out .. dunno y .. just out of the blues .. everything got deleted ..all i could see was few unreadable large files that were abt 700 mb & 120mb... with some weird names ( actually symbols)
This has happened to me once .. but this sucker deleted all 16 gb of storage

but this thread doesnt gave any definate solution ..
IS THERE SOME PATCH OR SOMETHING .. i m using original windows mobile 6.1 rom

i have had storage card issues with an omnia and an omnia i920. what i did was take the storage card to a card reader and when it wasnt readable by the phone - it was readable by the card reader and pc. i have no idea why. so i transferred all info to computer - formatted storage card and put info back. this has happened to me more than once. in all cases the storage card was fine after the reformat. i have no idea if this will work for you but its worth a try.

On page 19 of the USER Manual it says that formatting the memory card on a PC may cause incompatibility with your device. It says to format the memory card only on the device.

i have no idea why it happens. it happened often on omnia and i have had it twice on omnia 2. bought new 16gig card - class 6 - happened once - reformatted, etc and its been fine for four months. hi tech life is challenging.

I got this problem too! feel so tired working with it.
finally, i use a recovery tool to bring something back to the phone. Then install what i want to again and only hope that they will not disappear again.
if anyone ever know how to deal with this problem , pls help

happened again! took a photo and then the files just disappeared.

i tried updating the rom but it always give me error .

i assume you're talking about the storage card? if yes - try taking it out of the phone - putting it in a card reader. copying all of the files to the pc. format the card and put the files back on the storage card. might work might not depends on how in trouble your storage card is.

Try this. It worked for me!
Go to :
Settings\ Basic Settings\ General Settings\ USB Connection\ Mass Storage
Choose My Storage.
The Plug your USB Cable to PC. It should detect it and ask to reformat the drive.
Choose ok but pay attention YOU MUST change de card's name for ex In_Storage.
After formatting done eject the drive and change to Active Sync.
Your Omnia should see the drive ...

[Q] HELPPP...B7610 camera doesn't work

Hi guys,
I'm new in xdadevelopers,
I have a big problem with my phone B7610...when i try to take a picture the phone doesn't save correctly the images and they are impossible to open. I've tried to download the immages on my PC but nothing to do... they are impossible to open!!! what to do??? please help me!!!
p.s.: I don't know why but video recording works very well!!!
I need the camera for my job!!! pleaseeee help meeeee

What fw do you have? If official - try to save photos to diferent storages, like phone memory, storage card, built-in memory.
Then try to change firmware.
I think its memory trouble (with storage card) or firmware trouble.
If its memory truoble - format this memory and try again)

MIUI 7.7.0.0.2.0 Storage issue MMX A120

I am having a strange storage issue on this rom. I have enough space left but still following problems are happening:
1. Camera taking pictures but not saving them.
2. Cannot receive files from bluetooth(even small images). Says storage issue.
I think these 2 are related so plz help in resolving.
P.S. Somehow my ext sd card is sdcard0 and internal is sdcard1

Change the settings in ur miui settings ...go to additional then storage. ..Then storage settings..and btw it's 7.0.2.0 ........ï never faced ur problem but there's no bug in rom I use it....
