What about when you were in stock rom gb or ics? what about other custom rom. check it out. this may not be any battery saving appn you have installed. there is a separate thread in development section'pararoid rom' check there.

Clean your microUSB port?

Try changing to another battery. It could be a battery fault. A friend had the same problem and after swapping with another battery, problem gone.

My 3month old S3 died :(

Wow lastnight i left it on charge and today i wake up phone is total dead.. removed battery 30min nothing no led or anything, charger plugged in total dead.... :crying::crying: how can this happen i havent root or anything its been working perfect as of lastnight....
and my old 1.5 year desire still works rofl..... i should have bought htc.....:silly:
A minute of silence for your beloved S3...
Well, in case you really have a faulty one which is only 3 month old, you have warranty and it will be replaced. Products who are sold by millions are always some defective, electronics.... I had the same with my Sony cyber shot camera.... a few years back. Just go back to the store and get a new one.

Ahh. Assuming this is just a one off, extreme case for you... it's gonna be pretty damn comforting knowing that you'll still have another 21 months of warranty coverage

Its not software design its optimization, flash an AOSP ROM and you will see the differences in performance.

Maybe it's just dead battery. Try another one.

I'm not sure about this because he said its the same with the charger plugged in, and it will run with the charger plugged in but no battery.
If you don't have a spare battery to try use a multimeter put the probes across the positive and negative terminals of the battery if there's an output on the screen its fine.
That's if you have a multimeter

If I take the battery out mine won't turn on even when in the charging dock. So it could just be the battery.

Doesn't work, it needs the battery as well.
Maybe the charger is broken? Connect it with your pc
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
take it back to the store you got it from, ask them to put a battery in it for you to check whether its faulty, they shouldnt have a problem with this. If its still dead then you dont need to worry about the fact you have probably flashed a cooked recovery / rom or rooted, it will be dead, they'll likely just swap it out. - albeit via samsung.

Tried and tested, AOSP is definitely faster on the GS3 and battery lasts longer than stock (depends on your usage) if your not a fan of AOSP and like the Touchwiz wait for the Jellybean update to come.. shouldnt take long now..

Cm7.2 offline charging

I've flashed cm7.2 of percy and the ported miui rom, the weird problem is the battery keeps charging eventhough i've already removed the charger and after sometime my battery keeps getting higher instead of going down. I think it is on charging state but without the charger attached. I know its not a battery issue coz i've tried reverting back to stuck rom and its solved the problem.. i want to know if this is a cm7.2 bug and if there is a fix for this?

[Q] bad battery life, and slow charging

hi, i have 2 problems, maybe one of them is a bug.
i flashed phoenix rom 2 days ago, and the battery life is bad, i get 70% done in 10 hours with 2hour screen on.
and the second problem is, i noticed that when charging my phone, according to current widget it charges @ 1200ma while the adapter says 2A.
i have experience with phoenix rom, on note 2 and also on my s4, but that was a while ago, but i flashed other roms and now back to phoenix (always with full wipe) and now my bat life is bad.
plz help me
Try flashing other rom and see how it goes...

i had this Problem for a long time it 90% has nothing to do with the software its about the hardware can you answer this for me:
1.are you using the right charger for your device i may be a voltage just let the battery drain and charge with the original one
2.try changing the kernel
3.it may have something to do with the charging port did it fall in the water not the phone the port like if you dropped a glass of water and it touched the port it don't worry it will solve it self
press thx if i helped
Yeah m using original one
I never droped my sgy in the water and which kernal i can use??

Try to reflash the Kernel and the ROM. It may be the cause.
Maybe some files might have got changed / corrupted after flashing the kernel.
Best charging method opted by myself:
Charge the battery fully
Use it until it drains completely
Then again charge it full without interruption
P.S. I am a newbie! Sorry I am wrong! Please correct my mistake (if found any)
