Is this normal? I made the switch to root today and attempted to buy an app for 4.99 I wanted and received this error:
Attention
A server error has occured.
Retry or cancel and return to
the previous screen
Retry Cancel
If I retry it never goes through.
I checked google and I have a pending google charge for 1 dollar, but I think that's just for verification.
bump
Any ideas???
I get this every once in a while. I think its usually when im flipping back and forth between EDGE and 3G because of location.
I've been trying it every couple of hours for the last day and it gave me the error everytime.
I switched over to my wiFI and received the same error.
did you pay your bill?
Turn off your phone and dont kill any programs in any program you might have and try again.
It's my first month. Don't have a bill yet.
I tried restarting my phone and also wiped it using Alt + W
i would like to add this.
i just received this error as well, i have root, and it wasnt there earlier today.
im rebooting atm to see if that fixes.. i definately have data.. just i get an error going to the market.
Did they shut down paid apps to root somehow? I can click on any free app/game.. just not the paid ones.
Yeah I just wipped my phone again and took out my sim then put it back and try again... No luck.
Every paid app goes to Authenticating credit card then I get the error.
I also tried a different credit card.
hmmm... I have had no trouble... You should be contacting Google. Maybe your account is suspended for some reason. Abuse?
yeah thats what it is. Whats weird is I only have 1 order from buy.com that I used google checkout with. I created another gmail account and was able to purchase an app.
Sorry for the false alarm.
I purchased Dungeon defenders HD on my atrix, and sent it to my ATT bill. I got an email confirming the purchase went through seconds later. 30 hours later the app is still "authorizing download" wtf. I left it on all of last night but it didn't download.
Help?
this exact same thing happened to me on a different app. It didn't take 30 hours, but it came through eventually. probably too late to get a refund, as I think it's a 15 minute window.

30 mins window.
Try calling up AT&T and asking for a refund.
cancel the download then redownload it. Im sure it wont charge you but ask someone here how to do it. I think you go into app history or something. I don't have an atrix and haven't used an android phone for like 3 months.
Had a similar problem today.
Emailed Android Market tech support and they issued me a refund even though it was past the 15 minute mark.
I don't want a refund... I just want the game
I've had this before - just killed the market and re-downloaded it. I didn't wait 30 hours though
I had the same problem. I let it run and 20 minutes later it went through.
i tried to buy a app andit wont give me the option to bill my att account?? it just says add credit card.
You need to set up a google checkout account
OK guys, now I really need help! qq
I cancelled the download, but fortunately the market knew I had purchased it, so I still have the option to redownload. I did all the crazy troubleshooting, killing the market, airplane mode on/off, signing in and out of google talk, and THEN I tried to download it again...
It's still authorizing.... WTF
I really need help...
Anybody?
So when I ordered the Nexus 4, at first I thought it glitched out, and it wasn't really smart of me to add in a new shipping address through the process either. Anyways, it showed me the final buy button, then gave an error afterwards to my dismay. Afterwards though, I noticed it on the Google Wallet Transactions, but it had my home address as my shipping address for some weird reason rather than my college apartment (not big an issue) and under Billing Address, it used the wrong address.
Should I order it again, or will the existing one go through? I called them up around 12 PST and they seemed to be saying they couldn't really change it and also that it seemed to be going okay. They say Order "Complete" and also that Shipping estimate: November 15, 2012. Any ideas?
If the Credit Card you used isn't associated with your college address then it probably won't go through.
I only say that out of past experiences, if it works awesome, you're one of the few, the proud, who got an order through.
Never mind, I found the appropriate information here:

Sounds like the order doesn't get cancelled and that I have 7 days to fix the information before it does get cancelled. So I'm still in this, thanks though Mr. killerbicycle.
So, I tried to order two Nexus 4 today, but the address was all wrong. I went to Help Center and apparently I can't change the address, even if my order is still processing. Anyway, I had do cancel it. The thing is I can't order 16GB Nexus 4 anymore, even if I cancelled the last order. The "Limit Reached" message shows up and seems like there's nothing that I can do about it. Does anybody knows how to solve this?
Buy it with a different credit card? Or make a new account to buy it on
Sent from my Nexus 4 @1.5 GHz on Stock 4.2.1
Making a new account seems to be the only way to buy it right now.
Thanks anyway, IRX120.

From my own experience (trying to buy, but not canceling an order), currently it takes some days to Google for processing the orders and, maybe, the same occurs to cancel the attempt. It seems you need to wait some days to process your actions.

Try calling them. They might be able to help you.
This is widely covered but only for personal accounts. I am with a large corporate account, hence not account owner. I got it resolved this morning.
since I don't own the account, verizon online does not allow me to "activate" it, and rep. called last Friday had no clue what I was talking about and insisted that any account changes would require account owner (i.e. my IT) to initiate.....
this morning, I called again, and the rep. knew exactly what I was talking about, saying it was the second time this morning she was involved in such with this phone. she add the CDMA less to the line right away, only asked my name and company's name. a reboot after, all works well. she was curious why people like the phone so much, and I told him it was exactly like galaxy s9 but 2/3 price.
Verizon definitely working on the issue, and they don't need anything about accounting etc to add the feature.
I am all happy. time to sell Mix 2S
