So, I'm not sure if this is a good thing, but, when I checked my bank account a minute ago, I had $277 more dollars than yesterday and there is no longer a pending charge from Google for that amount. I know I'm probably worrying too much, but did this happen to anyone else?
And if not, should I contact them?

There is only so long they are legally able to hold funds without shipping the product.
Since its a pre order it should be different right? They can hold till ship date

they put a 3 day hold on the money in ur account then they will take it out when it ships. thats why u have the money now because its not being held anymore
Mine is still gone. Used debit card.
The time period on a hold depends on your bank. My credit union will hold for 10 days but my old bank would only hold for three.

It varies based on your institution, you can call the number on the back of your debit card to confirm exactly what their practices are for holding funds but technically even though it showed up as you having X amount less in your account it was never actually withdrawn it was just put on hold so it was no longer reflected in your "Available Balance" but the number wouldnt actually be deducted from your "Actual Balance" until it is shipped and the charge goes through.
mine's still showing as a Pending charge in my credit card. Ordered on 1st July.

i placed my order on July second and after reading this post decided to check my bank (chase) and they have returned the money to my account.
I can confirm that the charge is gone from my account as of today. I purchased the 16gb on July 2nd.

I ordered on the 5th. My hold just dropped today. I emailed google wallet support just to be sure.. lol

I ordered on 27 June and no funds have been moved in my account.
The temp charge was just to verify that funds are available during the pre order. The actual charge will take place once the tablet ships. If the funds are not available at the time of pre order, then pre oder would have been rejected.
I am not sure if you guys have preordered anything before, but the norm is the verify funds when you enter your pre-order and shows up as pending charge on your account. Since they don't actually charge you until they ship, that "hold" pending charge (authorization) falls off after a few days.
You will see the charge once they ship..

My "pending" charge is gone as well. I have my money returned, this is normal right? I read through the thread but by "gone" do you guys mean it changed to "paid" or is the transaction erased?
I spoke to google earlier today, the guy said none shipped yet, that they have been informed to say 'soon' instead of '1-2 weeks', I thought jesus ****ing christ, that's bad, cuz when you normally hear that kind of change, it means TBD, some indeterminate date, but he said no, it meant now less than 1 week, google and ASUS both have signed off on everything, whatever that might mean. As of 5:40am on 7-12, my bank shows nothing, bought 6-27 with debit.
Hey, so for those of you who are like me (confirmed order but no update as to whether it has shipped or been placed on back order), What do we know? Google play still says that the estimated date of delivery is Nov 15, and it's pretty much 9:00PM PST ( I ordered at 8:34 AM PST Tuesday) so I'm assuming that either it's not going to be shipped, or something is wrong with google's servers/system. Any ideas?

same with me here my order has been placed and i have gotten an email about my order being back ordered but i called google play twice today and they said it may have been a technical glitch and your order may have shipped and you may not receive a tracking number due to sever issues and it should ship no later then tomorrow, that's what i got from two people from google today. not sure if its true but i hope so
I ordered my 16gb Nexus 4 on November 13th 8:47 AM PST I got a confirmation email 45 minutes later and haven't received anything since. It just says that it's scheduled to be shipped today November 15th. My guess is that it has been shipped, but nothing has been updated yet.

I've lost so much faith in Google. As soon as I get this phone, the first thing I'm doing is closing my Google Wallet account, and slowly decreasing my reliance on their services, just in case I decide to switch ecosystems in the future. I hadn't realized how stupid it was of me to be so heavily invested in Google until this happened.
I ordered my 3G Nexus 7 right at 9am PST on the 13th when it was released. I got my confirmation email saying Google received my order.
My card has not been charged and no more updates on my account so I called the Play Store help desk. They said they are on back order and it may take a few days before my order ships. But if I go to the Play Store it says they are in stock.
Anyone else having problems with their order? Anyone in the US get their tablet yet?

My order went through at 12PM ET (9AM PT). It took a lonnnnnng time to get through the checkout process.
My tablet was shipped out yesterday afternoon, 2-day UPS, and I received it this afternoon. Go UPS!

2 days processing, 2 days shipping. I didn't get my shipping notification until the day it was going to arrive so don't freak out if you don't get it the third day.
I ordered a 16GB on 23rd and still have not got any shipping mail. Today is the 3rd Business day and maybe I should get a shipping email in a day or two.

It sounds like I got lucky. I ordered the 16gb version at 1 AM Friday the 23rd, got the tracking number later that morning, and it arrived on Monday.
I ordered mine on the 23rd and have not gotten my confirmation email. I called today to make sure everything was OK and they said my order was still processing.

I ordered on a Saturday, it shipped in the evening on the following Monday, and arrived Tuesday (the next day). I'd say this was quicker then average times though.

I ordered mine at 6:30pm on the 23rd and I still have yet to receive a tracking....I'm so jealous of you right now.
I just got off the phone with Google and they said that the problem is that the nexus 4 orders are backing up the he us 10 orders!! I was told my order has been approved and should ship within the next day or so. I originally ordered on the 23rd.

I ordered mine on 11/26 and the order posted to play as the 27th, I assume because it was 5:30pm on the 26th when it was "received" (according to the invoice) in CA and that's after business hours. I still haven't received a shipping notice.
I spoke to a Google Play Rep about it to make sure it processed correctly. I wanted to be sure there wasn't any trouble in the transaction since I recently had Identity theft issues.
He told me that it had charged my card successfully and was in processing and would most likely be Friday before it shipped and I would get it Monday at the earliest but probably later and that if I hadn't received it by Friday of next week to call them back.
So that "Delivered in 3-5 business days" Google play posts in the fine print is a not so reliable way of saying it'll be 3-5 before we mail it, Maybe.

Their customer service reps keep telling me it will send the shipping info email the same day I keep calling them. What a lie! Anyways after numerous calls and emails they finally sent me an email with some information of use. Hope this will help anyone wondering what is happening with their orders. This is what it says:

I placed my order from New York on Monday Morning 11/26/12 everything went through i even called to make sure and i have not even gotten a process completion email with a tracking number yet if i dont get anything by friday im calling them and demanding them to send it overnight at no extra charge....its all about the customer my friends! even though I am upset they dont sell the Nexus 10 in stores and have to go trough this whole process...I can say I am really excited to receive my new toy!!

the wait is very agrivating Im waiting for mine as well, and can you beleive they dont let you cancel your order...i ordered 2 by accident ( the other order got declined since i didnt have enough funds for both) but they cant cancel....i think this will be the last time i buy an item off the Google play store

I received my Shipping notification at 1:05 pm today. When I got the email and checked the tracking number, It was already in the Nashville hub and will be out for delivery tomorrow.

Wow this is totally unfair if you ordered it on the 26th and I ordered on the 22nd. Completely upset with Google now. I still have no delivery confirmation email. Congratulations on getting your nexus 10 btw.

I think most people got screwed out of the fully immersive bundle (Gear VR + 256GB sdcard and wireless headphones for $99). All that Samsung will do is tell you that you can still get the Gear VR for free. That was the part of the deal that I could've done without. I wanted the memory card and headphones...

are you talking about the fully immersive? if so yes, lots of people got screwed unless you got your phone pre Apr 21.
The fully immersive was never intended for those of us whom purchased with a service provider. As I understood it, if you purchased at the samsung site, you would be granted instant entry to either the free vr promo or the $100 upgrade to the full immersion pack simply for using their online store. I knew after reading the fine, fine, finest print that anyone buying with att, ver, tm would miss out on the FI bundle. I was lucky to have gotten my Gear S2 with my S7 and knew I would have been even luckier if had gotten into the $100 bundle this time. Since my luck didn't go into a new set of amazing headphones and one HUGE msd card, I bought a lotto ticket. Fingers crossed.
Found out u can still do the free. Hopefully they approved. I preordered it on thec15th but receipt said processed 21st.

DO NOT send the receipt that you got when you picked up your device, send the confirmation receipt or email that you got when you preordered the device. They will decline your submission if the date on the receipt is after 04/20/2017. That's what happened to me, luckily they sent me an email saying I could submit another receipt and I wouldn't have any other opportunity but that. Apparently, the promo is automated software checks the receipt that you send and checks that the date it finds falls between 03/30/2017 to 04/20/2017. If it doesn't it's automatically declined. If the date is approved from there it gets sent to an actual person to send out the gift and make sure everything is in order.

I got screwed out of the $99 fully immersive VR experience part of the promo by Verizon. I pre ordered my s8 plus April 3rd. Verizon sent me an email on April 15th saying there was a problem with my order I had to resubmit my payment information. So I did. Then April 17th they cancelled my order completely. Their excuse was "you credit card had to be maxed out." Total Bull. So by the time I finally got the phone Samsung was sold out of the $99 fully immersive VR experience. I was and am pretty upset with Verizon about that. But at least I did still get the free VR Headset.

I went on vzw to get actual receipt for that order! All it says is preorder date 4/20/2017 and has been delivered. Only receipt that has the phone mei number etc but process date is,4/21.

I preordered through Verizon. Samsung accepted my application for the promo and I was able to pay for the fully immersive promo as well.

The receipt you need is in your my verizon account. Look under My Billing then Documents and Receipts. What you are looking for is the document called Equipment Purchase it should have the same date you preordered. Download that file and upload it to Samsung
your get the imei number in phone. its in settings under "ABOUT PHONE" then "Status" you'll see the IMEI number you need there

I am getting the immersive vr bundle on tues by 8 pm via Fed ex....received my tracking # a few hours ago...I pre-ordered through verizon(I switched from sprint)...rrceived phone on April 20th...registered for immersive vr bundle on the 20th...it shipped today

I pre-ordered Mar 31. Phone arrived Apr 19 with my neighbor signing for it. At the time, and for rest of the week, I was back and forth from hospital as my daughter delivered my first grandchild and suffered complications during birth. Long week, both mother and child now home and doing fine. I didn't actually activate phone until Apr 27 (I'm probably only person on planet to have S8+ for over a week and hadn't turned it on). After activation, was able to register for Gear VR but unable to pay for $99 promo.
So......while I lost out on the promo, I got a healthy granddaughter. I'm good with that.
That is good news @Knarled. I'm still waiting for mine to ship the status says it has been approved and that is where I'm at.
