Desire C has 512 MB of RAM. ICS would run on X8 much better if X8 had more RAM.

ram is the main problem in x8

No.

oh thanks for the answer. Ish.... I'm so envy of their Android development progress!
Vogue has a 400Mhz CPU, and I think it's the same as the G1/ in the same family as the G1. So porting is easier.
only the difference is in the processor

And the GPS chip.

What radiochip I9000 has?

In Humbrid specs isn't radiomodule. Which chipset realize GSM/WCDMA communications?
check the wiki, it is posted there
http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/index.php?title=Main_Page#Samsung_Smartphones
There isn't hardware specifications
This may be of interest:
http://www.phonewreck.com/2010/08/19/samsung-galaxy-s-teardown/
The baseband processor is an Infineon YYN1N7438A8, and the radio side has several Triquint chips and an Infineon transceiver.
There seems to be a lot more RAM on there than I was expecting, if that's correct (2GB + 1GB?).
Thanks! It's directly i'm need
HM... I'm expecting 2 memmodules (1 for GPU, 1 for CPU), but 1 and 2 GB....

They list this as BT 2.1, which seems wrong, should be BT 3.0 Is this a mistake? Am I mistaken?

It should be Bluetooth 3.0, yes. Guess that must be a mistake?

No, it's perfectly correct. BT3.0 is BT2+WiFi+appropriate drivers.

There are listed 2 modules of SDRAM. 1GB and 2GB. We have 512MB. What's wrong?
Lots of things clearly..

Hi i've just come across the chipset while browsing the infinion website.
The galaxy S is using the XMM 6160 Platform.
http://www.infineon.com/cms/en/product/channel.html?channel=db3a304319c6f18c011a39327f69054d
and they also have a PDF that mentions it's use in the galaxy s here http://www.infineon.com/dgdl/2010-07-28+Q3+FY10+Investor+Presentation.pdf?folderId=db3a304326623792012678cdc8f707a1&fileId=db3a304329a0f6ee012a1488a88a32f1

Flash on X8 ?

Hey guys
I was just wondering wether it's possible to use Adobe Flash on the Xperia X8. I have browsed the web for quite a while but didn't find anything interesting. It seems FlashLite isn't available for the X8 and the 'real' version isn't compatible with the X8's processor. I would love to be able to play the flash games on my SD. Btw, I'm using the fantastic Floyo 0.25 ROM. Any suggestion would be helpful.
Sent from my Xperia X8
No. Our proc doesnt support it.
But, maybe in future yes. Qualcomm now works on ARMv6 processors, but they are focused on 800mhz now.
And FlashLite then? I used Flash even on my Acer E101 (WM6) with 500mhz proc, and it went very well actually. It was running FlashLite 3.1
Sent from my Xperia X8
No. But, you have one flashlite enabled rom, but it's not so god. it's laggy.

CM's moderator posted the minimum hardware requirements.
More than 256MB of RAM.
Phone must contain a decent GPU.
Lets just hope that our developers can tweak it. XD

GPU won't be a problem. RAM will be...
X8 have 225 MB of ram but 175 aviable, you can check.in last_kmsg in proc folder so if DC unlock for us extra ram I see ICS out very soon for x8

More RAM would be so cool! Anyway, there is no way ICS gonna run atleast the same as GingerBread. I'm against porting ICS to X8!
Offtopic: Just found an app called Steinkraft! So Cool!
i think there will be no ics for our x8
x8 is still not good enough
gingerbread is still a bit laggy but ics...
would let the battery drain much faster
but i think its possible to handle it but not right now maybe in a few month or so

It can't be unlocked
It is a system preserved ram
Just like my mini
512mb ram 320mb available
If its possible
We lose system preserved ram
And may slowing system perfomance
I'd say that chances of ICS coming to our X8's are slim to none. Don't get me wrong, I'd want ICS on my phone more than anything, but hear me out. Recently, Zdzihu managed to port ICS for the X10i. According to him,
[WORKING]
- it boots
- radio, calls, txt (sms)
- audio partially working (in-call is fine, playing mp3/ringtones leads to WLOD)
- bluetooth, GPS seem to work
- wifi almost working (“can’t find wlan0 device”)
- mobile data (it gets IP but disconects afterwards, needs investiagtion)
[NOT WORKING]
- most of the stuff does not work
- quite unstable
This is the X10 we're talking about. If it isn't even perfected or completed on the far (hardware) superior X10, how can we even hope for it to be usable on X8. But hey, who am I to talk, i ain't even a dev. I'm just a fat lazy 14 year old on his X8. I mean, they said the X8 and X10 couldn't handle Gingerbread (initially) but look how far the x8 and x10 dev's have come

Ubuntu for phones

Well, I was excited to see the brand new Ubuntu for phones, where they say they use the same drivers as Android (and I thought, hmm, maybe our X8 can get this OS in it).
Finally, I came across this page and my hopes vanished

I can be done, but our X8 lacks in RAM and CPU which is everything. Maybe Naa can do something but really... i don't think it can run smoothly.
.. Good thing i bought a Nexus 7 DD
I don't think it is possible to run it smoothly on our X8. It's not like JB requirements, so...
nope it require armv7 cpu....x8 have armv6
what about xperia s
