Hi
i wonder if anyone could help me please.
i have totaly bricked my defy.
it's the uk version, all i'm getting is the bright white light showing when i connect to pc using the usb connecter.I am using RSD Lite ver5.6 and it detects the phone ok and goes through the process of installing the sbf file but when it finishes and says Pass the phone screen stays blank. i am using Windows 7 and also using the JRDNEM_U3_2.21.0_SIGNED_UCAJRDNEMARAB1B80AA028.0R_USAJORDANRTGB_P026_A007_HWp3_Service1FF.sbf.
Could someone out there please help me.
Its no longer bricked. Iv`e managed to unbrick it using a different sbf. Working like a dream again.
Are you trying to downgrade to 2.21? Did you have a higher version installed though sbf before?

Thanks!
OP, Thanks for pointing me at a 2.3.4 sbf file to fix this problem. It worked for me too. I have a non-r2d2, so I got:
1FF-p2a_droid2_cdma_droid2-user-2.3.4-4.5.1_57_DR4-51-120117-release-keys-signed-Verizon-US.sbf
but that solved the Err:A5,70,00,1F problem and got my phone right back working like normal. Sadly, no root options for me currently.
It's interesting to note that RDS Lite reported that flashing failed, even though it obviously succeeded. When it rebooted, it showed the Motorola logo instead of going back to the flash loader and then everything was fine.
The other day i tried to root my xt907 using http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1940630
It didn't work. Now Whenever i turn my phone off it goes to fastboot. I'm tired of holding the three buttons so i can do a normal boot. plus id like to be able to turn my phone off and on normally.
Any kind of help to remove fastboot would we greatly appreciated.
This is what it says when i try to power down:
AP Fastboot Flash Mode (S)
10.9B(*) (sha-1e9f557, 2013-09-26 13:20:55
eMMC Info: Size 8GB
Device is LOCKED. Status Code: 0
Battery OK
Transfer Mode:
USB Connected
Fastboot Reason: Flash Failure
USB Connected
Agian any help would be greatly appreciated.
I don't aim to sound rude but a little research goes a long way... You were on the most recent update which is not rootable.... So... Now you are going to have to RSD the most recent firmware...

Hard Bricked Motorola Razr M xt907 with unlocked bootloader. After the flash official firmware 4.4.2 with RSD phone just died and is not turning on.
Bootloader has been opened. RSD sees it as QHsusb_dload. I have charged the battery on the other working board, but bricked board is not still responding to pressing buttons and does not enter in fastboot mode.
Can you help me please?
It's hard-bricked, there's nothing you can do right now. However, take a look at this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2934432 . They are working on a fix.
