My previous phone was epic4g which I had zero problems with in my car.
Anyways, I always have my phone plugged into my car stereo for music but when I get a phone call it doesnt give my bluetooth headset priority when I answer it will just use the phones mic and car speakers... (any idea how to change this? I have to unplug the aux cable everytime when I answer I didn't have to do this on my epic 4g.
2nd, I know they set up the volume thing as a precaution but are there any apps taht remove the restriction? Everytime I plug in my phone to my car stereo the volume resets to 3/4 it won't stay at full I know for safety reasons but it's really irrtating having to do change the volume to full everytime. Esp when I get phone calls.
Any help you guys can give would be great! thanks

well this one has me totally baffled!!
went out yesterday with my wizard and everything was fine, all audio was working prefectly! on the bus i plugged in my hands free kit to listen to a little music, that was fine..
when i got off the bus i unplugged the headset and for some reason the audio on the wizard was not working, no clicks, no music playing when i opened media player, almost as if it was on mute!
i thought to myself, maybee the speakers are bust?.. but when somebody rings me the speakers kick in and sound works perfectly! but only when people ring me,
BIG PROBLEM IS: if i answer the sound dosent work and neither does the microphone, as if the headset is still plugged in.
if i plug in the headset, the mic and headphones work perfectly for calls.
SO YET AGAIN!! I THOUGHT TO MYSELF: maybee the wizard is registering that the headset is constantly plugged in even though it isnt, or something is jammed in the headset socket.
BU NO!, if that was the case then when the phone rings the loudspeaker wouldnt be ringing too would it...
I AM OFICIALLY TOTALLY BAFFLED! have hard reset the phone 4 times, soft reset countless times!! i have no idea *CURRENTLY USING THE NEWEST QTEK ROM*
if anyone has any ideas i would be most greatfull!!!!!!! CHEERS A;LL!!!!
are u using bt ?
then try btaudio to tunnel audio through and no bt
dont use bluetooth at all, and its a good solution, but i still wouldnt have my good old audio back propperly i dont think,
there are just times when i like to sit my pone on my desk and play movies/music, or actually take a call and not have to plug in my headset everytime just to talk to someone lolol
its driving me nuts lol
ive tried re flashing the phone to its base tmobile rom, the qtek one and the o2 one now and still the same problem, so im guessing its hardware somewhere down the line.
any suggestions?
I have the exact same problem i believe and have found no solution. I didn't use the hands free set though. Just one night while charging, the main speaker stopped working on my 9100. Been like that for probably 2 months now.
Speakerphone, bluetooth headset and wired headset still work.
when wired headset is plugged in, it wont switch to speaker phone. When its not plugged in, it will, so I know its not just thinking the headset is plugged in still.
why are you complaining here ... return the device, it has warranty..
Hi
I had the exact same problem with my Magician (not had it with the Wizard yet). The problem is something to do with plugging the Handsfree kit in. when you unplug it, the little catch inside the 2.5mm hole does not flip back across so the device still thinks that the Handsfree is plugged in.
What i did to sort this was to wiggle a large paper clip inside the hole and it sorted it.
I hope this is the same problem
Thanks

Anyone know how to make the THD to ring through speakers when a call is incoming? I like to use a wired headset and have it connected all the time so I don't have to plug it in our out all the time.
Didn't notice this at first since if you have 100% System Volume you can actually hear the ring but it's coming from the headphones and not the speaker so thought it was through speakers automaticly (also read someone claiming this in another thread).
So does anyone know of a way to solve my problem? Or is it just me getting the sound through headphones only when connected?
Thanks
I have the same question...
Mine seems to randomly ring through the speakers even with a headset connected sometimes, I find it pretty annoying since I don't want it to happen. I don't know how it's caused though.
I'm curious if I'm the only one... I use Jabra A2DP headphones at work. When I walk away from my desk, I usually take my phone with me. When I come back to my desk, one of these things happens (I can't predict which one will happen, either):
1) Phone and headphones pair right up and it starts working (very very rare)
2) Nothing happens until I power off/on the headphones
3) It says connected, but no audio to headphones until I power them off/on
4) It says connected, but plays music out phone speaker (very very annoying)
5) For no apparent reason it may pop up voice dialer, and I'll say G*DD*MN*TWTF.. and then it tries to call someone.
I've had this problem with stock ROM/kernel, and every ROM/kernel combo I've tried. Right now I'm running EViO2-1.7.7. I think this could be an issue with the Jabra headphones, and if that's the case, I have no problem buying new headphones.. I just don't want to spend money unless I know it'll fix my problems. If you can confirm that you do or don't have the problem, please let me know what ROM/kernel you're running and what brand/model of headphones you have. Thanks!
Hello everybody,
that's my problem: i can't make a decent phone call when i'm in my car, with my phone connected to my stereo. I don't have any bluetooth set; i just connect the phone to the stereo and to my car speakers with an AUX cable.
If i make a regular call, the phone output goes to the speakers, and i can hear well, but nobody can hear me, because the speakerphone is off (and i'm too far from the phone).
If i turn on the speakerphone, people can hear me well but i can't hear what they're saying because the phone output isn't going to the speakers anymore but comes out of my phone's speakerphone, that isn't really loud.
I'm using InDrive
(I used to use Car Home Ultra but InDrive is better).
I set on the "car mode", so i can set my screen to stay on while connected to the car charger. (Anyway, car mode it's not so usefull now that the "home" buttons comes back to the launcher home, not to InDrive home...)
I've Paranoid Android 3.99 with Android 4.3 but i had the same problem with the stock ROM.
That's simply so stupid.
Why can't InDrive simply redirect the output to the speaker while activating the speakerphone input, so people can hear me well?
Am i missing something?
Thank you!
P.S: Is there a way to bring back the old "home button" behaviour, so that if i press "home" i go to my inDrive home?
I would either get a bluetooth or get a mount holder so its close enough to me to speak.

Yep, i've got one of these but people can't hear me anyway. My car is old and there's a lot of background noise.
Maybe it's an InDrive bug, even if it would be strange, because a car home should do only 2 things, and this is one of them. I will re-try Car Home Ultra in the meanwhile..
When I plug in any 3.5mm headphone or aux cable, the screen displays "Media volume automatically turned down to protect your ears". I really hate this because I mainly listen to music in my car and turn the phone volume all the way up so I can control the volume with the car's radio. I have considered tasker or trigger (NFC) to turn the volume up all the way whenever I plug something in, but I just want the volume to stay the same from when I last unplugged the earphones. Can anyone help me fix this? I am on Sprint and have rooted my phone but haven't installed a ROM (yet).
Thanks
i would like to know as well, all i find in the sound setting was disable the automatic volume from call. Nothing from the aux input.
