[Q] traded ipad 2 for xoom few ?s

So ya traded my white I pad 2 16gb wifi for this 32gb verizon xoom
Love it so far
How scrath resitant is the screen? There is a protector on it but it's annoying me lol wanna take it off
Its a little slow any better browsers or custom roms?
It should be a fast device seems OK to me
How can I play 1080p videos mkv etc my xoom don't seem to play them very well but it should with a gig of ram and this new tegra chip
Can i connect. A USB drive to this since it will be in my car I got a drive with a lot of flac files wonder of its possible to connect that to this xoom
But anyway a love this device so far I think its a lot better then I pad crap
So happy it plays flac audio files
Soonnit will be modded into my 2011 prius

Onscreen controls in fps games? You really got to be pro to enjoy playing such game on mobile.
I tried but failed.
Its like playing football(soccer) without shoes. but hey nicee price and graphic

Single player is nice but don't touch online unless you have a hardware controller.

ya i grabbed this for the hell of it cause it was cheap. my god its frustrating. its like one of those dreams where you are trying to run away from someone but are moving in slow motion.
its hard enough trying to play this on the note, i cant even imaging playing this on the iphone. 3.5 inch screen? its ridiculous even on the note. so cramped.

Everything I've come across on the Tegra Zone app works great. Dungeon Defenders Second Wave, Riptide Gp, Sonic 4 Episode II, Siegecraft THD, etc......

Jelly Defense, Deer Hunter Reloaded, Let's Create! Pottery, Treemaker, Flick Golf Extreme, Smuggle Truck, Zombie Flick, Radiant Defense, all Kairosoft Games, Evac HD, Zombie Wonderland 2, Beyond Ynth, OvenBreak, Zombro, and Pro Zombie Soccer just to name a few lol...
I've played dozens of more that I know work, but those are some good ones that work well on the 300t. 9mm I couldn't get to work, but that's about the only one I really miss so far...

Perhaps you did (although that wasn't specified), but many others will find the information useful. You don't have to include them in updates to the first post, but everyone should feel free to contribute any working game.

There's really no reason why those shouldn't be able to work with the TF300, so that list is probably a good place to start.

I downloaded galaxy on fire 2 THD and its definately not in HD, the graphics look absolutely gash. Is this just me being an idiot and downloading the wrong version or it not native 1280*800 resolution?
Also where did you get battlefield 2 from? Cant find it on play store.

Well, the term "hard core" can go a lot of different ways. If by hard core you mean THD games or basically games that show off your tab's graphical prowess... you've got most of the top ones already. There are some nice older titles like Roboto HD that look great as well but aren't graphically as strong as games like Shadowgun or 9mm.
If you want games that look good and actually work like they're supposed to the ones I added are nice options; It really just depends on the type of games your looking for. I generally blow through 40-60 games a week and can put any others I find in the thread bsweetness suggested, thanks for that btw there were some there I haven't tried yet.
I picked up my tab 2 days after it dropped on-line, and my biggest gripe so far besides color depth has been lack of compatible games. There are a lot out there, but I was surprised at how many don't play nice with ICS or with tablets in general.
They like to tout the "power of gaming" with quad-core devices, but they don't talk about the lack of quality or compatible games do they...

That's true. The One X and One S seem to be selling well, so one can only assume that better Tegra 3 support is coming. However, aside from the One phones, how many phones are being released with a Tegra 3 SoC? Well, at least those are selling well.

it is not native resolution, you do get the screen resize option in the tray. My graphics are fine while in the ship flying. Not true HD, but certainly not gash.

Where can i download those games?

Will n10 lag like TF700

Well first of all you all might be knowing that TF700 lags(Read in tf700 forum)
Now, i'm thinking of getting this from USA(I'M from India).
So my main concern?
Will the apps be blurry-pixelated?
Why I ask? Cause i read it is pixelated/blurry in tf700+All apps in android store are for 720p and this is 2x than 720p.
So does google promise "qulaity" apps?

The TF700 lags because of poor I/O performance

Nexus 10 is made by Samsung not Asus - it shouldn't lag. And it's Nexus - even made by Asus Nexus 7 doesn't lag.

According to engadget and other review sites, it is the "smoothest and lag free" tablet yet. With two a15s under the hood, google would have to make the worst os in the world for it to lag

The N10 is going to fly faster than a monkey with Tabasco on it's rectum. (((FAST)))
There might even be a chance gameloft crap might actually be playable. But I'm sure gameloft will screw it up somehow.

Is SPB Shell 3D as cool as it looks in certain images like yours? Does it ever lag? Do you ever get tired of it? Is it worth the $15 compared to all the cool stuff you can do with free launchers & apps, ex: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yyPWxhFQG-k ?

They were announced at the end of last week. In the announcements it was stated as released for the Shield only for both. I'm sure at some point it will be available on other Tegra 4 devices.

They were just release afaik. Someone needs to rip the APK and try it on the Mojo. Or, we need a way to spoof the Play Store into thinking the Mojo is a Shield. I'd buy it just to try I love Portal. I am sure it would work fine on the Mojo.

I can confirm, HL2 is working on the TegraNote 7 with a MOGA Pro controller attached via Blutooth

They ie.portal/half life 2 for tegra 4 are a waste of time for now on the mad catz m.o.j.o,they are not telling anyone next to the game icon on the list that they are only useable with android 4.4 kitkat,therefore i bet loads of these upcoming and current games are,also the shadowgun deadzone game i tried and says only for tegra 3 devices,it's a right @rse to list games but not tell you what they do/do not work on,bounty arms isn't working with the m.o.j.o controller either,so it does beg a big question that is why are mad catz selling the C.T.R.L as an android phone controller as a seperate item if the compatability is all but none existant in the current games,they really need to get to it and release 4.4 kitkat for the mad catz m.o.j.o and a controller compatability update to flash with software via the usb port under the batteres.

A friend of mine is supplying me with Portal from his Shied to test on the Mojo tonight. I will let you guys know if it works...I am very curious.

running kitkat and no luck on mali 400 gpu
so surprisingly borderlands 2 gets ported to the vita but we cant run HL2 on a snapdragon 801 ?????
hmmm seems like a driver hack should do the trick

The problem is that Nvidia worked on it and optimized it for Tegra 4.
I'm not sure whether it performs just an GPU ID check or it actually does require Tegra 4-only features/extensions.
I don't think we can get it to work on other devices without a wrapper.

I tried Half Life 2 on my Tegra Note 7, but my game crashes when i try to load the first level.
The main menu works fine.
I am using an EVGA Tegra Note 7, Android 4.4.2 and a Xbox360 Controller.
Any tips?

Sadly have to confirm this...
First part is working, but as soon as Freeman is fleeing from the Combine and the second part is loading it crashes.

Can anyone confirm if the crash is due to lack of RAM? Remember our Tegra Note 7s only come with 1 GB of RAM while the SHIELD and M.O.J.O come with 2 GB. It could be crashing because it couldn't load the entire level into memory.

Well half life 2 doesnt load maps like that. Its loads it section by sections so i seriously doubt they changed it for android to load the entire level that would require regretting alot of the engine. Online multiplayer games it will load the whole map but for the single player it did not thats why you got that loading bit while running or driving around.
