Not working Ip Cam through CM9 - Nook Color Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am using Ip Cam Viewer to check out some ip camera that I have.
It works great with cm7, but with cm9 even if I tried 2 different versions it's a no go for viewing through local network.
I checked all settings and they are correct and also camera works fine with my mobile through same application.
Any ideas?

I know that accelerated video like Netflix and Youtube aren't really working on CM9 yet. That's most likely your issue.

YouTube is working fine. HD doesn't work well.
At my matter now, I don't have any stream at all, like it can't connect to the camera. More like connecting issues seems to be or the dyndns doesn't work for cm9.

I haven't been able to get that program to work with my ICS GT10.1 (rooted); I also have used it on CM7 fine (BTW- you might just want to stick with CM7 anyways. Far better on the NC in my opinion...). Might not allow rooted devices, or might just not like ICS. Ask the developer.

Then it would be a good idea to try other similar apps.

[Q] Youtube issues on wireless n router

MyYoutube app was running fine playing hd videos. Today however, it won't run them as it just keeps trying to buffer, even aftermore than three minutes. Normal videos are ok though. My brother gave me a Buffalo router with wireless n. I had previously had a Belkin wireless g router. Web browsing is now noticeably faster but this Youtube problem arised. Are there any settings I need to adjust? My laptop and girlfriend's ipad seem to work fine.
I don't think it is your router. I as well as others have the same issue. I have the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Asus transformer and have the same problem on both devices. I have also tried playing the same video on my desktop and it play just fine. So my conclusion is that it is the new youtube app. I actually don't care for the new 3d look that Google decided to give us. I prefer performance any day over eye candy. I am not sure if anyone else noticed but all videos uploaded by machinima causes youtube to FC, but the same video play just fine on my desktop. I think the new youtube app really suck. I have reported this issue to Google, but it probably will not get fixed until they release ICS.
Rebooting my router seems to help the problem for a little while.

[Q] Bluetooth mouse without hdmi/lapdock/etc

I am using CM7 latest weekly...
I just bought the motorola work and play kit, but I can't properly test it now since I will have an hdmi tv next week..
However, I tried pairing and connecting the bluetooth mouse and keyboard and everything went fine...The keyboard works and even the mouse cursor appears on the atrix display...
BUT
when i try to click anywhere the mouse jumps to the left edge of the screen...So I have this doubt that maybe it's something wrong...anyone can confirm this behaviour?
I don't know if this is a proper test (without connecting to the hdmi, and with cm7) but I just want to know if this behaviour is normal in this condition and it will work correctly with the tv.....or maybe I'm doing something wrong and this is a stupid/noob/senseless question...
any suggestions?
I've had a similar problem on other builds of CM7 as well... but I HAVEN'T had any problems with Blur-based ROMs (like Darkside/etc.). In those ROMs, bluetooth mice work fine in Webtop, mirrored HDMI OR just on the plain phone (with no other modes enabled).
I'm thinking of flashing back to CM7 now that they have landscape HDMI mirroring, perhaps the issue would be solved when in this mode?
It's a frustrating issue, not exactly sure why it behaves so strangely in CM7. =(
That has been fixed, and it will be working fine in the next weekly.

[Q]-TimeWarner Cable app-TWC TV

Is there anybody that is currently using the TWC TV app on their nook? I'm using the one that allows it to be run on rooted devices http://www.droid-life.com/2012/04/1...ut-streaming-tv-unavailable-for-rooted-users/ on my HP Touchpad. It works great. When I try it on the nook running ICS (2 different nooks with 2 different CM9s), it keeps telling me that the channel is unavailable. On one of them I loaded up chainfire in case it was a display issue but there's still a problem.
I'm curious if this is something that is a no go on the nook.
I think this was a no-go because of the hardware acceleration. Shame TWC says it only has video under ICS.

CM10 DAC boost / headphone gain

On CM7 I used dalingrin`s Nook Tweak app for boosting the weak volume output from the nook to the headphones. Since CM10 uses a different kernel, I assume this won't work. Are there any alternatives to fix this issue on CM10? I love Jellybean but need to be able to use my nook as an audio player.

I have been experiencing the same problem. However there is one exception to it... When somehow USB Host mode worked for me one single time - i played through USB audio and it was the same high level that i had experienced running CM7. I am unable to get USB Host mode working again. It's definitely in the CM10 kernel as it has worked once for me. Possibly the CM team is waiting to provide a Toggle in the User Interface for it. Should have one for Host mode and one for VBUS. Tools I used
Show USB host is active, but might be getting it from dmesg. I don't know where the locations of the stuff are to try to manually toggle it so i guess i will just wait until it comes in. If anyone knows a way to manually toggle the two please PM me.
i wanna learn how to make a kernel at this point...

[Q] Nexus 7 2012 Grouper with usb-tethering for spacedesk app

Hi everyone.
I've recently found a new use for my 2012 wifi Nexus 7 as a secondary monitor on Windows. I have it standing below my main monitor running streams or videos while gaming or browsing. Right now I'm using spacedesk over wifi. It does work but often times isn't very smooth. Supposedly, running spacedesk via usb-tethering should improve performance and it wouldn't tax my shared apartment's wifi. I don't care about any other functions besides usb-tethering and the ability to run spacedesk.
I've tried teaching myself about modding but I just remained absolutely clueless. I can flash ROMs but that's about it. Even for ADB stuff i would need foolproof instructions.
I'm currently using AOSP 7.x (https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...2-wifi-3g-f2fs-ext4-android-7-x-aosp.3467514/). It shows a usb-tethering option which has no effect on Windows or spacedesk. I've also tried a reverse tethering app on it which gave the Nexus 7 internet over usb but still no connection over spacedesk.
I've also tried cm 10.1 provided by skyline159 in https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...er-on-jelly-bean.1879660/page-3#post-36986587 without success. Wired tether 1.4 responded with an unsupported Kernel if I remember correctly.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...er-on-jelly-bean.1879660/page-3#post-47949482 sounds promising but I don't know about the root shell or whether his method works for windows aswell.
Any help would be appreciated.
On a side note:
I also tried doing it the other way around. Running youtube or twitch on the Nexus while sending the sound to my computer via AirAudio. That gave me an annoying 1.5 second delay that ruined the whole experience. It's also less convenient than PC->Nexus.
I also can't use the Nexus' audio port because it has an awful quality due to its age I suppose.
