[Q] Bluetooth mouse without hdmi/lapdock/etc - Atrix 4G General

I am using CM7 latest weekly...
I just bought the motorola work and play kit, but I can't properly test it now since I will have an hdmi tv next week..
However, I tried pairing and connecting the bluetooth mouse and keyboard and everything went fine...The keyboard works and even the mouse cursor appears on the atrix display...
BUT
when i try to click anywhere the mouse jumps to the left edge of the screen...So I have this doubt that maybe it's something wrong...anyone can confirm this behaviour?
I don't know if this is a proper test (without connecting to the hdmi, and with cm7) but I just want to know if this behaviour is normal in this condition and it will work correctly with the tv.....or maybe I'm doing something wrong and this is a stupid/noob/senseless question...
any suggestions?

I've had a similar problem on other builds of CM7 as well... but I HAVEN'T had any problems with Blur-based ROMs (like Darkside/etc.). In those ROMs, bluetooth mice work fine in Webtop, mirrored HDMI OR just on the plain phone (with no other modes enabled).
I'm thinking of flashing back to CM7 now that they have landscape HDMI mirroring, perhaps the issue would be solved when in this mode?
It's a frustrating issue, not exactly sure why it behaves so strangely in CM7. =(

That has been fixed, and it will be working fine in the next weekly.

[Q] Keyboard and Mouse for motorola defy

I just came across a video on youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fihLIwIZovY) but i would like to confirm here if any of motorola defy users are using some sort of keyboard and mouse (Bluetooth based HID) ? any market availability
I just bought a BT Keyboard with Micro-Usb Charging port. That way i dont have to carry two power cables.
I will report back when it arrives.

can you send me the links from where did you get it...even when it arrives do share how it works on defy.
I am using my trusty old Nokia SU-8W folding BT keyboard. It needed a "helper" app in 2.1 but runs perfectly in 2.2 without. Seem to be a few on ebay, though if you're in 2.2 I imagine any good BT keyboard might work. Though I would confirm before buying. I am on stock USA t-mo phone, 2.2.1 Has no mouse. Has a slide-out to stand the phone in (similar to the video), but has to be "loaded" from within the phone. ("Initiate pairing from phone"). In texting the return key actually does a "return", not send. It sits up high enough in the built-in stand to use the lower nav keys.
Copy & paste are the only things I'm still trying to sort.
Is there any keyboard in the market that also have mouse (trackpad) support which can be used on defy's browser..!!??
I bough it from ebay, here is the link.
I will report back if it works.
There are small keyboards with trackpads from the same company, too. I dont know if they work but as BT Mouses should work with 2.2 flawlessly i think these devices should work too.
As long as the device works with Android in general it should of course work with the browser too.
I think better use a PC.

second that^^
no need to use them for such 3.7'' screen.
Ah, i forgot to report back.
The keyboard is working with my windows 7 pc but it is not working with my defy.
I get it to connect to the defy and show up as a connected HID device but it wont recognize any keyboard input.
I am searching for a stock rom with bt-keyboard support at the moment...
and "I think better use a PC." is just about the dumbest answer you could give.
Thanks for the update
I found here that the "freedom pro" keyboard works but when I price check, it's over $80, so no way!

Logilink ID0070
Hi,
I bought a Logilink ID0070 bluetooth keyboard and it doesn't work. Neither in CM7, nor in CM9 I can type something on this keyboard. It is paired with my device but nevertheless it didn't want to do something else.
Is there already a solution to this problem?

Is there something wrong with the Bluetooth on Jelly Bean and/or Nexus 7?

Is there something wrong with the Bluetooth feature on Jellybean 4.1 or the with the Nexus 7 itself?
I bought a Bluetooth Keyboard for it for about $30. When it's working it works great, but it just randomly drops out when I am in the middle of typing. If I press the button to the right then they will connect to each other again, but then it drops out again in a few minutes. It's pretty much a useless device, because I can't keep constantly pressing the button while I am typing, it slows me down dramatically.
Does anyone know of any specific problems with Bluetooth on the Nexus 7 or with the Jellybean ROM?
I've been looking for a USB/MicroUSB keyboard to replace this one, but they all look so cheap and flimsy, so if you have any suggestions on that end they would be appreciated.
I know everyone hates when someone does this.
But my motorolla Bluetooth keyboard has been working very well no disconnects. I also use a mouse on occasion that has yet to fail me. I would check to see if you have a lot of Bluetooth devices nearby.
I am using stock kernel and ROM not rooted.
I use the keyboard and mouse together with zero issues so far.

Did you try testing that keyboard with other devices to see if the keyboard works properly?
No, but I will try that with my Droid RAZR and let you all know how it worked out.
Bluetooth file shares go smoothly, I've transferred at least a GB through Bluetooth. Bugs me that I have to change .epub and .apk files to .mp4 though.
I do Bluetooth with tablet talk, and Bluetooth connect to phone for network on cm10 rom. No issues, no dropping

I've used my wifes Logitect BT keyboard several times for 10-15 minutes at a time, no problem. I paired a mouse once to see it work, used it about 30 seconds.

Good lord, use some other method then.. Bluetooth is both slower than wifi and... renaming stuff? No way. There are plenty of other methods to transfer files to Android over wifi.

I'm having this exact same issue. I actually traded in the keyboard thinking it was defective and have the same problem with another BT keyboard. All of these devices work perfectly fine on my PC and other tablet. Anyone else heard of this or know of a potential fix? It's supremely annoying to not be able to use a BT keyboard+mouse at the same time. I'm using a stock unrooted N7 with the latest update.

[Q] Motorola bluetooth keyboard not working with N10

Hi guys,
I have the motorola bluetooth keyboard with trackpad working on my Xoom and I wanted to use it on my new Nexus 10.
I can pair the device entering the correct code on the keyboard, but then I can't get it to work, there is no "Physical Keyboards" section in Language & input.
Do you have any ideas why this keyboard is not working? I think the Nexus 10 has Bluetooth HID enabled so there shouldn't be any problem.
Thanks in advance.
I have my old moto xoom keyboard and mouse working fine on my N10, it actually works much better in terms of staying connected than it did on the xoom :silly:
This is an issue because Google switched to a different Bluetooth stack in 4.2

Is your keyboard the one with trackpad or just the regular one? And regarding the connection issues on the xoom yeah I had them too

Well I didn't know that, thanks for the info. Is there a way to go back to the old stack? I have my N10 on stock 4.2 and rooted btw.

Tronsmart T428 Bluetooth issues?

I just received my new Tronsmart T428 from Geekbuying on Monday
The biggest problem I'm having though is getting any bluetooth keyboard or mouse to actually work on it. I can pair them all up - but they don't work.
I can pair them to my Nexus 7 and they work just fine (both the T428 and the N7 are running 4.2.2)
Kind of defeats the purpose of having it attached to the TV if I can't actually control anything without sitting within USB tethered range.
That being said - it works great with the Synology apps (DS Video/DS Audio) to get my media to the TV.....haven't tried xbmc yet but that's next up after I get this BT thing figured out....

I'm having the same issue with the Tronsmart T428. I can pair them to my Asus TF700 and they work fine. Any remidies to fix the issue?
I haven't found a solution yet - I was trying to roll back the firmware to 4.1.1 to see if that would fix it - but having problems finding the appropriate drivers to get it to work.
so basically - this is a really cool Android computer - that I have to sit next to my TV to use (wired mouse)
It's an awesome computer I agree. I'm downloading the 4.1.1 firmware as I speak. Have to see if I can get it to flash...
Good luck with that let me know if you manage to figure it out!
UPDATE: I managed to get it backdated to 4.1.1 - video playback is choppy (dropped frames?) but my BT keyboard/mouse works now..
I did get an email back from geekbuying finally...

so maybe this new firmware will fix it
I managed to get 4.1.1 installed as well. I didn't notice the choppy video using BS Player but it did fix my bluetooth problem although the bluetooth connection doesn't seem to be very strong. I can be 10 feet away from it and it won't hardly work. Wonder if my wifi is interfering wth it since the router is on the other side of the wall. Glad to hear rockchip is supposed to release an update.
On my note 10.1 after my keyboard is paired I have to go into the connection and check a box to enable it

There was a box to enable they keyboard but it was already checked...so it should've worked but it didn't. 4.1.1 solved the problem...must be a hardware/software issue somewhere.
Since on Android 4.1 it can work, so it must be a system problem, hope they can release a new firmware soon to fix it.
except that, a really little cool device!

I read somewhere that google replace in android 4.2.2 the bluez stack by a broadcom stack. It mean that some devices are not compatible anymore. Aparently broadcom will be better, but in the mean time some of us will have to use 4.2.1 and below to make our devices working. Broadcom will support bluetooth 4.0 and will be less power draining. I ckecked om google code and there lot of devices reporting not working anymore, we will have to wait until further upgrade.
Firmware May 30 fix
The new firmware relase May 30 fix the bluetooth issue
Bluetooth 2.1 SSP works with MK908 V3 if you recheck the option

I'm using my kernel (based on marvin) without any changes regarding bluetooth and Finless 1.6 system img.
Bluetooth 2.1 devices with SSP pairing work if after pairing you select de device and do check&uncheck&check the input device checkbox.
