Left side in portrait or landscape? In portrait, you have the WiFi antennae, and if you're streaming video constantly (or doing any bandwidth intensive task), I could see it warming up there.
Thanks for the link, its left on portrait so, its the battery, the issue its coming up after officially updating the tablet yesterday, also the auto brighgness works terrible now

is anyone experiencing lags trying to switch between the tabs in music / contact/phone application or in settings menu?
sometimes the tabs would switch smoothly, but time to time the screen would studder for a bit, and then switch.
i was wondering if this is normal.
my last phone was s3, and it did not have any lag switching between the tabs.
?
also, i was wondering if the youtube videos on g2 would look bit slower normally?
if the picture moves too fast, it tends to studder

It's my opinion that the transition lag is normal. I have been getting it from day 1. I won't call anyone a liar, but the people who say there is no lag whatsoever, are probably exaggerating.
I first noticed this after I had a very hot lamp too close to my phone while it was in a tripod and recording myself for an Indiegogo campaign video. The video sceen was highly distrorted and before that it was scrolling. Like what you see in older TV shows or movies when they record a computer screen or tv moniter. The screen will scroll up or down.
I was recording mself with my Surface RT tablet on in the background and the screen starting scrolling before becoming distrorted. (NOT the Surface RT screen as viewed on my camera like the example of recording TV moniters or computer screens. The Surface RT screen looked normal through my phone's screen and in the final video.) There is no distorting or problems with the videos or photos I took during the crazy screen or after. So I assume the camera hardware itself is ok. And at that time my phone was VERY hot.
Today I was recording myself agian on the tripod without the hot lamp. It was in the tripod for only 2 minutes when the screen started to scroll up again. This time it wasn't hot at all.
If I exit the camera app and re-enter it is fine. So far this happened only twice and only in the camera app regardless if it is in the video or photo mode.
Did I damage the phone or is this a known problem? Any ways to fix this?
Have you tried any other camera app from market?

No, but I will now. Also, it just did it a third time now. but I was holding the camera vertially and it went sideways this time. Also funny thing is my Google Play freezes 50% of the time when I click on an app to view it before I download it.

I had this problem when I flashed a kernel that was JSS for a ROM built on JWR firmware. Have you flashed any kernels? If so double check with your ROM provider about what base was it built on, JSS or JWR. Then double check with the kernel and flash the appropriate one. If you haven't flashed a kernel then i have no idea what is wrong. You may want to reflash the ROM assuming that you are using a custom ROM.

Hey.
So for past couple of weeks Im playing with VR goggles, for now I have two of them, and they work perfectly with my xperia. Thx to few cool apps for streaming SBS video I can actually use my XZ as a real VR googles/mouse for my PC(controlling movement using phone attached to goggles.) And its REALLY cool.
But I have really small and annoying problem with gyro on my xperia. Its work good, its accurate and its not twitchy... but its very often lost levels, and reset starting point. So very often when Im, eg playing PC games and there is lots going on, and I need move my head often my Xperia lost levels and trying to calibrate it self, and its taking sooooo long, I need to remove it from goggles, put it in table and wait for calibration to stop rotating whole screen.
Also when I move from left to right, and up-down its work good, but when Im doing this with head a bit in angle, Its starting to move it self really slowly to one direction(left or right).
For example when I watch 360 videos in youtube, very often I move my head to right, and then I move my head lo left to starting position, Its not in the same place. Its moved whole movie to right.
So my question is is there a way to quicker way to calibrate gyro, and if there is way to fix this annoying "reseting starting position"?
Most of apps have calibrate options but it just center image to front not fix rotating bug.
I tested my gyro in service settings menu, and color box move good if ts slow movement, but its often lost starting point. SO when I star test, and I have Green box in front, after moving phone a bit, and go back to starting position, box is rotated and I see red or yellow part of box...
I know its just a phone, and its dont have oculus hardware to be that accurate, but its look more like software calibration problem :/
{tested in 4.3 and 5.0.1}
Gyro is also available in so many smartphones its usually work for motion, camera and vibration modes.
The effect you are talking about that is starts to move itself slowly to a side is a common gyroscope problem known as drift.
I just noticed on my 6P that while playing a video in YouTube full-screen, if I rotate the screen 180 degrees, there is a slight pause or interruption in the audio. I doesn't appear to be a Marshmallow issue because my Nexus 6 on the same connection rotates without any pauses. (Same thing with a Note5 and LG V10.)
Does this happen to anyone else? Easiest way to check is to open the YouTube app and play a music video full-screen, since any pause or interruption in the audio will be easily noticed.
Nothing here.
No pause on mine. I have heard else where that the pause is from the left and right speakers switching to the proper side as you flip the phone over.

I guess that could be a possibility, but even so I wouldn't expect a noticeable pause. Also, I would expect something similar to happen on the Nexus 6, but it doesn't.
After playing with it a bit more, I actually noticed that if I rotate from portrait to landscape (with top of phone to the left) back and forth, there is no pause. It is actually the rotation from portrait to landscape (with top of phone to the right) where the pause occurs. (And again, rotation from landscape to reverse landscape pauses.)
I also let my phone sit for a bit to "cool down" just in case the SD810 was throttling, but I still see the pausing.

exactly, i had the moto xpe and there was a pop noise everytime i switched the display.
yea, me too, any ideas?
The phone model is a Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime G530AZ.
It is on stock 5.1.1 firmware.
Experiencing the problems in a couple different ways. The first instance that I'll mention involves the keyboard while in the stock messaging app.
The area that you press on to bring up the keyboard in order to compose the message is completely unresponsive while the phone is turned vertical with screen in portrait mode .... now, I found out today that if I turn the phone sideways/ horizontally and the screen rotates into landscape mode, then the messaging area becomes responsive and the keyboard pops up just as it should without any problems.
The next instance with the issues that I mention is with playing certain games from the Google play store such as candy crush ... etc.
While the screen is vertical, with the rotation in portrait mode, then the touch screen becomes unresponsive with certain aspects of the game which involves usually, tracing a line with your finger across various Adams on the game screen... Though if the screen is rotated into landscape mode attempting the same action which the touchscreen was previously unresponsive to suddenly works like it should /Touchscreen working normal versus how it was working whilst in landscape mode
I know there's gotta be a fix for this I mean it really does not seem like a hardware is you though i'm not a professional So I'm reaching out to everyone here that might possibly be able to help... If anything at least maybe direct me the right direction for a fix or solution you-know-what I mean ...
Just recently achieved root user access with KingRoot apk ... Though the issues with the touchscreen began long before achieving the root user access so I'm fairly positive that that is not the reason for the problems due to that fact .
Now i've tried looking everywhere online and google search is not returning any where close to the results that I am looking for about this issue...
Any and all assistance/advice would be greatly appreciated!!
Please and thank you for your time ...
