[Q] Can't access phone after using 'adb wipe all' - Huawei Ideos X5 U8800

Hi, I have a HUAWEI IDEOS X5 U8800 and I used the command 'abd wipe all' which worked but had some errors towards the end.
After that I switched on the phone and all it displayed was the HUAWEI logo and getting into a boot loop. The phone won't also go into recovery mode by pressing volume+ and power button.
On Pressing volume+/- and power button the phone gets into update mode (pink screen) but can't access it via computer using a usb cable.
Thanks for your concern, I appreciate it.

Thanks theminkiller for your concern.
I was using the official Huawei Android 2.3 which I got from their website as an update and it worked for a while.

Have you tried putting an 2.3 update in a dload folder in the root of your sd-card to reinstall it?
Sent from my U8800 using Tapatalk 2

Yes I have tried that and all it does is just display the pink screen and do nothing.

I did format the sdcard then copied the dload folder in it but it didn't work. Also when the phone is in update mode (pink screen) when I connect the phone via a usb cable to the computer, nothing is being mounted on the computer.
Thanks for your concern though.

The pink screen appears only when I press both volume + and volume - buttons together with the power button.
But when I press volume + and power button to get to recover nothing happens, it just displays the HUAWEI logo and gets into a boot loop.

Don't press power button, let USB start phone.

I have the same problem dude.
Ihave pressed to only volume + button and connected the usb cable.
İdeos logo appeard and than there is blue blank screen on the phone.
What will I have to do after this step ?

Solved!
Download the latest gingerbread, then find a MicroSD and another phone. Use the other phone to copy "dload" to the MicroSD then put it in your phone hold Vol+ and - like updating again.
That worked for me :-D
Good luck

Thanks y'll for the help you offered. My phone was bricked by the time I posted this thread so I took it to an authorized huawei center n the PCB was replaced for free since the phone was under warranty. I had to play dumb for it get repaired.

Can't instal CWM

Hi there, I followed this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1420728
And Rooting, etc worked fine, but I can't instal CWM or it does not work for some reason... I copied the Recovery.img to the folder but when i restart the phone and hold Vol+ and power the phone simply won't boot.
Can anyone help me?

It's problem with some roms but just press cancel. Reboot into recovery option doesn't need that. Rom manager detects u8800 only on 32 kernel custom roms.

Something must be wrong with the recovery files i've been downloading... i used rom manager to reboot in to recovery and the phone simply stays stuck @ Huawei logo... And if i try to power on + Vol+ it won't start at all. You don't have a working Recovery image somewhere by any chance?
Edit...
What firmware you are using?
If it's B522 or newer, do this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1457490
Now, turn your phone off and take battery out. Hold volume+, volume- and power button. Your phone should now turn into pink screen. connect it to computer via USB. On your computer go disk(phone)>image and replace recovery image with cwm. Don't forget rename new recovery to recovery.img take battery out to turn off phone.
If not working I suggest you re-flash firmware, but I have still one method left if you don't want to do it.

By what i can see I have this one:
U8800V100R001C00B517G001
I know that it's an old one but all the links are dead or removed for my unfortune.
Gonna try with that method instead, that was the method i used on the previous 2.2 Rom, didn't thought of doing it like that again, just followed the tutorial

Recopy
I'd say re-download and re-copy the recovery.img file using ES File Explorer, check the permissions, and then reboot your phone.
I found that I need to hold down Vol + and power for a few seconds even AFTER the Huawei logo is already showing.
ROM Manager doesn't detect your phone so I wouldn't use that.
Hope this helps

I re-downloaded the file from another place(it was bigger than the one I had), and did all the steps again and it's working. The file I had must had something wrong.
Now it's running DZO's Aurora ICS and wow what a difference between both android versions.
Thanks to everyone that helped me.

I had the same problem with mu Huawei U8800 (normal not pro), when I updated to 2.3 back in march this year, what I did, I went back and reinstalled the Beta version that came back in 2011 (v18) as I had saved it on my school computer (you can try and also search on google if there are some huawei beta roms for u8800 still available as I got mine from a past backup), then with that I was able to boot holding the volume + and - keys together with the power button I got the pink screen, and now I was able to copy and replace the CWM 'recovery' image when I connected the USB cable to the computer, Then I removed the cable and when I pressed the power button and the volume button + button i got CWM. To all the developers who came up with this. You are all amazing!

Reboot into recovery by pressing vol- and power button together then wipe data.wipe cache. Wipe dalvic cache. Then flash ROM and gapps

did you repartition your internal memory for CM?
It may be possible that your /system is not large enough for your stock ROM.
Flash CM again and see if it works,
(if you are not sure about partition size,in terminal emulator type df -h, and report how much you get for system. for stock you need 200+ MB)

yes i had installed cwm. i had updated my cell from froyo to cynogenmod 7 about 2 or 3 months ago using rom manager and cwm. and this time i was trying to try something different rom and its very hard to remember what went wrong.
also as u suggested i tried download tpt helper but i couldn't find a way to install tpt helper from play store. my phone is not going further from the dell logo, once i press the power button the dell logo appears on the screen and remains that way no matter how long i leave it to process further. dead end. i think its the situation that should be called "bricked"...:crying:

I received a huawei 8800 -51 ideos x5 from a friend, because he was in the middle of flashing process when his laptop turned off. he was restoring a CM7 image.
Is it there any option of revival ?

Thanks in advance.

It's hard and it won’t work all the times. You have to try several times
1 - Take sim card inside and get a micro SD card you can format.
2- Grab original firmware from Huawei site
3- Put dload folder inside the SD card you have just formatted
4- Turn the phone with Vol+/Power buttons hold until the firmware update screen starts
5- Cross your fingers
Did it work for you friend?

How would it then turn on? Can you please instruct me with steps? When i take out the battery whats after that ?
Power on normally, holding the power button

Wait,wait,wait...........
So i:
1)Take out the battery from back
2)Power on using the vol up button. How would it turn on without battery?
3)......... idk what to do
It won't turn on without the battery, so put it back, press volume up and then power button

So i take out the battery then hold/press the vol up button, then put battery back in while holding vol up button? then hold vol up button then without releasing the vol up button i hold the power button? for how long?
Hope im not asking stupid questions
You can just search for a video guide. Although your current understanding is correct. The time to hold the volume up button is till you get to the boot loader screen ~3 seconds

Will this load my to bootloader 9.10 but with no error? Just a simple bootloader? ~~~YES~~?
If yes then doesn't work my computer won't detect my phone even the motorola driver, anyway you can help with that?
Maybe you should be able to flash from the error screen itself! Use admin mode and latest rsdlite and drivers, as per your system

Im sorry what is admin mode and how to enable it? and i have tried to connect it from the error screen to my computer but it wont detect my phone.
Which os do you have on the computer? If windows vista or higher, right click on rsdlite and click on run as administrator
Could you reach the BL screen? Try the instructions I gave or a video guide
