Looking for a folio case with bluetooth keyboard for my a500 and want all the proper cut-outs. Looks like this fits the bill, but am just wondering if anyone has any experience with it before I order one up.
Can't post links yet, but the e-bay item number is 230789121297
Thanks!

I am thinking about picking this tablet up. my question is whether it is getting a dock in the future like the transformer? I see that it has a plug for a dock. I saw the dock with the remote for viewing movies but i wasnt impressed with that. Maybe it will be compatible with a few different docks?? Not a deal breaker for me im just curious. Thanks
Interesting question. I guess my question to you would be... What do you want the dock for? You can add either a bluetooth or USB keyboard to the Acer without a dock. You can get a stand or a case that will hold the Acer. You can just plug the power adapter into it. So... What would a transformer-like dock get you?
the media dock is all I've found so far, but with a usb-host you can add a keyboard to it in the dock. not the best for travelling, but it would work if you were using it at a desk.
The transformers dock is very nice I see why anybody would want one. The idea that you can fold it and protect the screen is probably the best feature aside from the extra battery.
With that said I don't think you will see a dock like that b/c the Acer lacks points on the bottom to secure the tablet once docked. You will probably see a dock similar yo the one for the w500 but I doubt they are to make a folding keyboard dock.
Only disadvantage to the Asus dock is you are stuck carrying around the kb if you just need to use the dock. I like the folding case/dock staples has and just use a USB or Bluetooth when I need too.

Just saw an interesting post on TechniDroid. Guy claims he spoke to someone at Acer who confirmed there will be a keyboard dock for the A500. Since I'm a newbie on this forum I can't post the link unfortunately.
If you search "Acer to have keyboard dock for a500" it should pop up.

Accessories on sale May 8th
I spoke with @AcerAmerica via twitter and they mentioned that the dock (which includes a Keyboard) and some other Acer accessories are going on sale on May 8th in the US.
Thanks for the info. That's great news, accessories never hurt! In regards to the keyboard...were they clear that they were not referring to the W500 Keyboard dock?
Since it seems I'm the first getting this
(link should appear here, but since I'm a new user..)
search the terms
"New arrival-Multi-functional Thermo-Formed a500"
on aliexpress.com
or
"rooCASE Slim-Fit (Black) Folio Case a500"
on amazon
just want to let you know that:
- I'm satisfied
- Seems well built
- doesn't add excessive bulk (thickness)
- allows access to every port/slot and does not cover cameras/speakers
- I cannot evaluate the protection level it offers, (my A500 already dropped twice, obviously without case), but the corners that hold the tablet in place should help
I do not add pictures, because both links I provided already do the job. Anyway, if you need more details, let me know.
Me and my basic english will try to help.
Update: after two weeks of use, I can confirm the quality of this case.I've seen many posts here with different cases, but all of them, seems to add excessive thickness to the tablet. Up to you.
seems rather nice though price is tad expensive for what it is... ^^
Yes and no.
I live in Switzerland, and ~50$ shipping included (from aliexpress) is a "common price".
It costed me ~10$ less than the original Acer one.
As soon as it is avalable at amazon, will come in the US for ~30$.
Compared to the original Acer, that's a big deal!
Hello. Currently, HP is offering their Bluetooth Keyboard for their discontinued Touchpad for as low as $19.99 and $6.00 s/h (US). I purchased one of these keyboards and found that it works great with the Acer A500 Tablet. In addition, when comparing against the Bluetooth Keyboard that Acer offers, I found the quality of the HP keyboard to be better (more solid build with a metal back, better feel to the keys) and the keys are slightly larger in size. The only negative that I found is that not all of the keys work (HP related keys, etc...), but the ones that matter most do work very well (all letters, numbers, volume controls, music controls, search, etc....). In addition, the size of the keyboard is only slightly larger than the Acer, and it looks nice in appearance without any objectionable HP logo's. All in all, it is a great deal for a nice Bluetooth Keyboard that works very well on the Acer A500.
To find the best deal on this keyboard, check either Techbargains.com or Dealnews.com for a $10 off coupon code for HP products such as:
"As of 11/2/11, the HP TouchPad Bluetooth Wireless Keyboard is available for $20 + $5 s&h at the HP Store using coupon code "SVN7795".

is there any bluetooth keyboard case for the nexus 7. I don't care if it is not made by Asus but has anyone bought one that they thought was good?
If so can you please provide a link. I am planning to use my Nexus 7 for typing notes in school. What is my best option. I want something that is contained in a case.
Thanks
Hello there!
About a week ago I picked up a 10.1" Onn Pro 2020 tablet, and I noticed that it has pins on the side. After consulting the user manual, I discovered that they are connectors for a pogo pin keyboard. I would very much like to have a wired keyboard cover, but I cannot seem to find any information about what keyboard would be compatible. I believe that Onn is a Walmart exclusive brand, but i can't seem to find a proper keyboard on their website or anywhere else for that matter. There are 7 pins on the connector.
If anyone knows where I can buy a keyboard for this tablet, I would greatly appreciate their guidance.
Thanks for reading, and have a great day!

The first version of the Onn 10.1" was offered with a keyboard, so I wondered if that keyboard might be compatible. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like it. The first version only has 5 pins.
With the manufacturer's name and model number, you might be able to find the keyboard on a Chinese website. The original was also marketed as a "Surf" tablet.
Good luck.
