No, i dont know which kernels are available for this phone and how to flash them. This zte is phone of my wife. On my personal huawei i only replace the boot.img in root explorer and it is all. In the zte is no such file. So please post the link or file and how to flash. Many thanks.

because they are meant for cm try ones from swedish snow or the rom itself it is based on stock 2.3.5
Moved to General. Please post in the correct forum.
Cheers.
i installed SwedishSnow RLS7, but there is no sim working. No signal, not connected radio. When i switch to airplane mode ON, it becomes inactive and i cannot swich it off. When i recovered via cwm back to official 2.3.5 and tried to recover the boot from SS (because of unlocked kernel), it freezes at ZTE logo. So the official does not work with SS kernel. I am so unhappy

Have you TPTed your phone to gen2? Have you an IMEI? (Look in settings). I have read something on modaco where if a gen3 phone is tpt to other gen, it will loose her network (basebande probleme?) But im not very certain...

Currently in the GB stock rom the IMEI is present. Pigfish says Gen2 - sold with Froyo, thats true. I only want to use an oc kernel, not whole custom rom, because they are not fully localized. This phone uses my wife and she likes our native language. I use a huawei u8800pro and the speed difference is huge. I hope that 100 mhz up helps her a little bit.

why 1.8 ghz. is this a too much and what is the risk?
is it needed to be rooted to install this kernel or the boot.img will root the device????
also, 1.8ghz is the standard OC or we can decrease it to any vallue we like, say using No Frills CPU?

hi,
i have a dell xcd 35 with stock 2.2 gen 2 non rooted.
i want to install custom rom on this device i have read
thread at modaco link below
http://android.modaco.com/topic/3357...r-gen2-device/
but i want to know how to revert back to stock 2.2 with all the things same as when it was out of the box (i.e. non rooted with stock recovery not cwm)
as i want warranty of my handset so it should be same like before.
in the thread at modaco about installing custom rom on gen2 blade there is a topic "reverting back to stock" in this the told to flash the stock rom zip which we have backed up or a fresh stock 2.2 which is in roms section BUT MY QUESTION IS THAT AFTER FLASHING STOCK ROM ALSO WE CANT GET THE STOCK RECOVERY INSTALLED AND IT NOT BECOME LIKE OUT OF BOX.? plzzzz tell me how to get back to the same state when it was out of the box, is there any other method of flashing AND PLZZ TELL ME ABOUT TPT ALSO i am a noob... plzzz help i want how to get back to stock with stock recovery as i need my warranty.
thanks in advance

U need to root it. Use z4root mod (a software widely available) and select permanent root and reboot ur phone. Next flash cyanogenmod. U could go for cm9 but for a new user, a fully stable cm7 is better. Try burgerZ kang found in cm7 kang thread in the blade android development section. Download the rom and the Gapps
Download rom manager and flash clockworkmod recovery. Backup data
Put the rom and gapps in ur sdcard. Reboot into recovery by pressing volume down and power. Wipe data and cache. Select install zip from sdcard and flash both the rom and gapps
Reboot.

Word to the wise. Posting your email address on a forum is usually a bad idea. That being said I dislike the "best" idea for a rom/kerne/app and will ask you to not make threads to that regard. I will not lock this thread because the ram inquiry.
As a Android phone user.
It will be hard pressed to get ICS running on 256MB of ram. My i897 runs on total 512MB (~390MB as usable ram) 1Ghz cpu (200mhz bus & GPU) OC'd to 1.392Ghz (232mhz bus&GPU) and its no where as smooth as a dual core phone. I can't imagine how a 256MB and 800mhz cpu would fair with ICS. Like everything it will probably run but how well?
I have tried ics on my Idea Blade (256mb ram). It is smooth but lots of FCs. Not stable at all. The launcher always restarts when i return from an app. Had to revert back to cm7.
