HELP!! - ME722 (chinese milestone 2) - Milestone 2 General

I need help with rooting my ME722 which is the chinese milestone 2. I've tried super one click which is the one recommended for rooting UK roms and Doomlord too. Super one click just hangs and Doomlord says that the system is read only. I'm running android version 2.3.4 and I had it rooted before it updated to 2.3.4 and now it just wont root. please help

Tried Gingerbreak?

yup. didn't work either

search for DoomLord's root toolkit v4

have you enabled USB Debugging before using one of those tools?

Nexus S Android 2.3.3 help needed

Hi,
Noob couple of questions, my apologies.
My nexus S has GRH78C firmware but I see other posts on here regarding a version ending in 40.
Is there a specific version of 2.3.3 I need or are they the same ? (if so a link would help )
Also, can I root 2.3.3 using the superboot method ?
Cheers

if you have clockwork mod use this as a restore and you will have a rooted 2.3.3 its the easiest way to do it.
http://www.mediafire.com/?c1ww7zb837uycbk
just unzip and put the backup folder in your clockworkmod recovery folder boot into recovery and restore 2.3.3 takes 2 minutes and you will boot up with a rooted 2.3.3
Worked a treat... Thanks very much
No problem

You can download the full 2.3.3 rom here and it should be completely unrooted. Just flash it through CWM.
Thanks a lot
Hello,
Does it works ?
Do you have recovered your Nexus S without superuser function as it was first ?
If it's possible, where can i find the orginal build 2.3.2, i have only a link for 2.3.3 ?
Thanks.

your best bet and least complicated while being most efficient would be CF root----http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=788108
Hi, I´m looking for an easy way to root that phone like z4root or something like this. So I tried to root with Gingerbreak but the phone is still unrooted. Anyone knows if Gingerbreak will be developped to work with DBT 2.3.3 version, PDA: I9000XWJVI, PHONE: I9000XXJVO?
Gingerbreak and Z4root got patched by Google. Currently there is no way to obtain root without a custom kernel.

OK, then, for the time being, I have to use CF Root and also change the custom kernel. And that´s what makes me feel uneasy regarding the matter when Samsung is offering i.e. GB 2.3.4 via Kies officially will I also get the new version via Kies officially or do i have to flash then via Odin?

Solved - Installing custom roms on rooted 2.3.4 (Not OTA)

Hello,
I want to know if anybody knows a way to install custom roms on a rooted Droid 2 (2.3.4) with the latest bootloader. I've been trying, but I'm facing an annoying little problem. In order to root my Droid 2 with the latest bootloader, I needed to used the patched 2.3.4 firmware. Whenever I try to install a custom rom through CWM, I get an error telling me that the installation has failed. It says right before the error that I need to make sure I have the OTA update and not the leaked version. I can't get the OTA though because I'll be unable to root that one.
So, does anyone know a work around for installing a custom rom on a non OTA firmware? Any tips, suggestion, apps, links....just anything would be very much appreciated.
Thanks,
CJKurow
Update:
I found a solution that I felt was risky, but I took the chance and it worked

official cm7 is the only rom that has a kernel check
removing it is not that risky
edit: other gb roms should install fine

yes a root method, was found
only one 2.3.4, that i know of 621
& cm7 is based on 2.3.3/ 4.5.601
that's why kernel doesn't match

Just search I have done it went from gb 2.3.4 to. 587, you just have to use flash tool to downgrade kernel then root with android emulator or something then flash back to. 587. I personally would do that install x parts v5 (cmw) or recovery x then install ultimate hd then mod ultimate hd
On the other case just unlock bootloader install kernel with cmw all ready on it, I am using rush and install custom roms
Hope this helps
