Zune not detecting my focus - Focus General

I just received samsung focus, which I bought from ebay. It is still locked to AT&T & I am using it without SIM as of now.
When I connected, it was searching for 3 drivers, but it failed to find & installed only one driver. Could be the problem ? From device manager I tried to load drivers from C:/Program Files/Zune, but Windows not able to find them.
Where can I find drivers ?
I tried different USB ports with different USB cables. Still no success. I also checked from diagnosis mode & it is selected to Zune Sync.
Thank you very much in advance

I don't know what to say. I just made this post here. Opened Zune to listen songs & now I see it is connected

[Q] HTC Hero - No USB connection, but power, no other computer works

Hi Guys,
i have connected my Hero with different cables with different computers on different driver versions. It charges battery, but there is no USB conncetion. Yesterday it still worked. I think that this is maybe more a hardware fault as a software fault. ATM i don't have a microSD Card Reader so backup my data and USB Mounting doesn't work anymore.
I use FroydVillain 1.5 and i don't want to try to factory set, because on the last restores i just could restore per usb and not per recovery console.
Does anybody know about this problem or has a good idea?
After i switched off the phone and connected, my device manager on windows tells me unknown device and says an error code that device reported an errors and deactivated 'cause of that.

Install HTC Sync
Hi tried this already with 3 different versions of HTC Sync
Uninstall HTC Sync, use USBDeview to remove the usb drivers for your phone.
Restart
Check the drivers are removed with USBDeview again
Install the latest version of HTC Sync from HTC's website
Restart
Plug your phone in
N.B. If you're using a custom rom make sure you have "Unknown Sources" checked in your application settings & "USB Debugging" checked in Development settings. These settings might help though I think the second one is for adb access and the first is for installing apps from apk files. Worth a shot though.

[Q] Windows messing around with USB connection

Ran into a rather bad problem today after flashing to Kyrillos 3.0 Final and trying to root my phone.
Windows just won't connect my phone. If I uninstall the drivers, it works for the first time after I restart the computer and Windows installs them, but after that they just stop working.
There's also an "unknown device" in the device manager list, below the "Android USB composite device" that fails to install its drivers.
I've tried everything Google threw at me, but I can't find a fix for this.
Edit:
It appears I have a found a fix:
I reinstalled all of the phone drivers and now I can connect my phone if I switch USB ports every time I connect it. Luckily, I have two ports in front so I can easily switch between them.
Have you already tried *#7284* in dial?

No I have not, I'm not gonna do it before I know what it does.
Edit:
Searched for it and found it. The last * is actually a #.
Thank you so much! It fixed everything, I couldn't get my phone to connect at all after rooting and partitioning!

[Q] USB connection issue HD2 WP7

I have had the easiest run so far in getting my HD2 to work with WP7, installling DFT's ROM and getting an activation code was a breeze. All is good except for one issue. When I connect by USB to my PC, the PC shows a window saying that it is seeking and then installing Device Driver Software. It does this every time I connect and then concludes by saying that my unidentified device is now ready for use. Zune then tells me that it can't make a connection between my HD2 and the internet but it can still sync files etc. I have installed Windows Device Manager (with .NET4 and developer tools etc.) and it too can't connect with my HD2. I've pursued the references in various threads to firewall issues and so on but I'm none the wiser.
Can anyone advise me what I should look at or what to try?
Other than this, I just want to say a huge THANKYOU to all at XDA and the extended community of interested/interesting folks who make it such a fantastic resource for everyone - BRAVO!
im having this EXACT same problem! anyone got any answers?
Zune
Guys,
Did you install Zune Desktop Software?
Once you have installed Zune, it should pick up your device.
Let me know if that does not work
I've tried everything except doing a hard-reset. And, yes, of course I installed Zune on PC
i assume you mean Windows mobile device center?
you dont need it
it should connect and be done, the fact that it isnt remember the correct driver suggests something on the driver side is buggered.
With the phone connected go in to the computers device manager, and right click on anything to do with the phone, including and unknown devices, right click and uninstall them all, before it installes them all again, disconnect the phone
look for a tool on google called USBDVIEW
make sure you get the correct version 32bit / 64bit
You will also need the USB IDs if you want to see who makes each device
put it on your PC and run it in admin mode
Locate anything todo with the phone and right click and remove them all
Remove Zune
Remove Windows mobile Device center
restart your PC
install zune first
Then plug in your phone into a different USB port and not in to a HUB
See how you get on with that
Second thoughts, ive attached the 32 and 64 bit versions, both already have the USB device IDs file with them, just copy the zip file to your PC, extract, and run as admin, all credit goes to the owner of this, i found them at http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/usb_devices_view.html
sorry double post
Didn't work. =/
UPDATE: It did work
Zune cannot connect to an HD2 running Windows Phone 7 unless the time and date match on the phone and the computer. Make sure that your date and time are set up correctly on the phone, and do match the time and date with your computer. It is a long shot, but it worked for me before.
For the driver problem, dazza9075 gave the best advice.
Hmmm, so much for that fun. I was running WP 7004 when the computer first couldn't find the phone, after doing what dazza said the driver problem got fixed, and Zune found the phone. I updated from 7004 to 7008, how ever the phone kinda crashed at step 8 (restarting your phone) so i restarted it manually, the update is working fine except now Zune can't find my phone again. Not even after doing Dazzas method again.
I will try to change the time zones maybe that will do the trick.

What operating system are you using? Do you have the latest samsung pc drivers installed?
Is this when in "download mode"?
this happened to me before. Go and buy a new charger and see if that works. Also have all of your apps closed maybe that will work

The drivers aren't available. I have to use Zune to make it work.!! May thats how the Windows phones are designed, im guessing...

Micro USB Test
USB Path Control:
Zune Sync
Modem,tethered Call

PC cant recognize
I have been struggling with this issue as well.
Simple solution i found (and after reading about million posts on web as well)... ORIGINAL CABLE seems to solve the issue. I saw it posted even on one Korean forum. Seems simple enough, use original data cable that came with phone and that seems to be it. wierd
Totally agreeing with PP
PP is correct in suggesting the original data cable being used.
I had the same issue, the pc would not recognize the phone. The fix for me was to connect to the usb ports on the back of my pc. They were the only ones that let the phone connect to zune.

Btw, for these issues with USB only working on the back of the comp the culprit is either the motherboard (drivers or other) or the PSU (not enough power).
Enderpsp could be right.... Mine was the USB port, I had to plug it in a different port and it started working... Just keep trying, make sure you don't have any USB options about power management in your computer's bios

[Q] issues connecting to PC viia USB

Hi, I am having issues when connecting galaxy s5 to PC via USB. I am using rooted (Philz recovery) stock ROM (KK 4.4.2) on phone, and Windows 8.1 enterprise on PC. I was able to connect galaxy s3 just by plugging USB. PC loaded drivers and was able to transfer files no prob. However, tried with s5, PC seems to load drivers as normal, makes audible connection sound but is not showing in windows explorer. I've checked quite a few posts and the general consensus is a missing driver (been to Samsung site and Sammobile to try and find drivers to work, nothing. Samsung just point to 'Kies' and Sammobile just have Firmware), however, windows 8.1 finds and installs latest drivers automatically anyway. I've deleted and re-installed drivers via device manager on PC, checked for hardware changes and updated drivers etc. The PC recognizes the phone as Samsung device in device manager list, makes connection sound plugged and unplugged, even charges the phone while plugged in, but doesn't show in windows explorer to be able to transfer files. I tried USB 3.0 and 2.0. looked on net , found lots of people with similar probs re:s3 and s4, but nothing for s5 yet. Again though, it seems to be missing driver, however, as all drivers are updated/latest, i'm lost as to where to go now. Can anybody be good enough to point me in the right direction please? Thanks in advance. by the way, have also rebooted phone and PC end tried again, no difference, used different leads/connectors, tried MTP, PTP, USB 3.0 modes on phone connection settings blah blah bblah
If anybody knows where I might be able to get a driver that works, would be good, or any other possible solutions would be helpful. Am going to try via Wi-Fi using ES explorer but would prefer to use USB 3.0 as quicker for large files.
Again, thanks in advance for any suggestions.
