Can you please explain your problem in detail ? Is the phone not even booting at all ?

hello, my phone is unlocked with the htc dev and then routed to the unlockroot. By applying rom manager on the phone can access the download roms, but when I ask to install a phone number appears on screen with a red light.
Phone Information:
***UNLOCKED***
BUZZ PVT SHIP S-ON
HBOOT-1.02.0000
.............
Do I have to downgrade the Hboot, or switch to S-off?
Thanks for the help.

because the recovery on your phone only allow install update by official OTA/rom.if
you want to install unofficial rom, first install unofficial recovery, and then install unofficial rom.

there is here some tutorial with this release hbboot 1.02.000? thank you

G2 bricked??? I need some info...

Hi to all, I am a noob here so I hope to don't do any mistake with this thread.
After that I apologize for my broken English and I try to explain at my best.
I have the chance to buy an US T-Mobile G2 with a "little" problem: the owner said that the phone turn on but it stops at the white boot screen.
The HTC USA reply to him the only way to solve the problem is wait for a full HTC rom advanced than OTA or send the phone to the USA assistance.
What do you think? There are some opportunity to unbrick the phone, without send it to HTC USA or wait for the new full rom?
Thanks to all and sorry again for my English.

It all depends, does he have S-off, to check pull the battery, then put it back in, hold the volume down while power on, the fist line will say "VISION PVT SHIP S-OFF" if it says this there's a good chance, I have a cooked version of the PC10IMG that has an ENG Hboot plus ROOT that member hot_hands built to help someone else in the same situation, so if it is S-OFF let me know and Ill post the Cooked PC10IMG for you.
Remember do not try to flash the Stock PC10IMG because what will happen it will flash the stock hboot S-on and radio first then reboot to flash the stock rom img., when it does this S will be on and it won't let you flash an older main version and it will be permanetly stuck at the HTC screen.
So again what I am suggesting will only work if you have S-Off.

If you can access the bootloader and it's s-off then all you need to do is flash a rom through fastboot. It's pretty easy though I can't remember the exact commands

Back to stock with s-on

Recently upgraded, giving my Dinc to my brother and want to get back to stock and S-On before I do.
I've tried flashing the unrevoked s-on tool through clockwork, but got an error:
unrEVOked forever S-ON patch v1.3
Verifying system type...

Got device:
@PID: 69,"INCREDIBLE_C"
Got radio version:
2.15.10.05.06
E:unsupported radio version
E:Update failed. Check /sdcard/soff.log.
[/QUOTE
I subsequently flashed the stock gingerbread rom through the bootlader and I'm up and running without a problem but before I hand the phone off, I'd like to go back to S-ON, in case he has any problems and it comes up.
anyone know why id be getting that error and how to solve it?

Once you've unlocked the Legend download and run the HTC Supertool V3 from your machine, select option 1 then option 3 and you'll be permanently rooted, then you can install rom manager and deploy whatever rom you want.
So, if I vaguely recall correctly,...
This basically means we won't need the gold-card trick anymore.
I use my Legend for app testing, both CM7 and Blayo ROM as a proxy for stock. I avoid real stock ROMs because they tend to be a pain to re-root etc.
So perhaps I can try real stock ROMs and be able to switch back that much easier...
Hi

Thanks. I've done the HTCDev part, I'll do Supertool and custom rom at weekend. I can use clockworkmod from market to install a rom or do I have to use a Legend specific version ?
This is to get s-off? I'm on 1.01 Hboot. Using CM 7.1 stable

nope... just the unlock bootloader... but you can use most of the S-OFF function.
with this you can flash your recovery part of your phone and also have system writes.

Can i install/change system fonts ?
Well, we don't know that as of yet (that's still a big mistery to us) but I can assure you that one who would find that out would most certainly be elected as president of the Internetz.
Have done HTC dev part and now with hboot 1.02. So next step should be to use super tool?

Yes, option 1 and 3, gets you root.
I tried the steps mentioned in wiki using super htc tool 3 and then using ROM manager. I was happy that it's almost done but got stuck with red triangle and exclamatory Mark when tried flashing cm7. What next ?!

sorry for bad english
Are you branded or unbranded?

Unbranded
i live in Syria(Arab country)
I thought about updating with latest WWE RUU and then unlock using htcdev ,is that ok?or is there anything I must make sure of before using the RUU?
There us no need to unlock the bootloader if you are already S-OFF.
And yes I would recommend you to run the latest WWE RUU from your computer. You don't have to to anything before running the RUU just connect your phone in charge mode only with USB debugging enabled and your good to go.

Last question:
Will my phone back to s-on after ruu update?
Note:
my phone is s-off but I can't flash custom recovery
Yes the phone will remain s-off after the ruu and you should be able to flash a Rom when you are s-off

Touchscreen not working after aospx update!!!

Hey guys,
I updated my Desire HD to aospx BR7 but upon rebooting the touchscreen is not responding at all. I have tried rebooting the phone multiple times and have taken the battery out but its not working I have a nandroid backup for the BR6 but I have touch recovery so I cannot access that either. Is there a way to access that nandroid backup or flash a different rom without the recovery? I would really appreciate any help
Cheers
EDIT: I was able to use fastboot to flash the CWM recovery but upon restoring my aospx BR6 nandroid backup, the touchscreen is still not responsive. I tried a fresh install as well but its still not working. Any ideas?? Cheers
1:Reboot into bootloader
2:Connect your phone to your pc
3:select fastboot
4:run a RUU for your phone
See if this helps.

Thanks for the reply mate. I found this RUU ROM from the Desire hd development list....
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1382235
Is that ok to flash? Also the poster is giving instructions on flashing it through the recovery but how would I go about flashing it through fastboot? Like I know when flashing radio you just write fastboot flash radio radio.img. Are there multiple disc images that I have to flash?
Cheers

Thanks for the tip Muikuman. I was able to successfully go through the steps but the touchscreen is still not responsive. I have lost the CWM recovery as well which I expected (I can just flash recovery though fastboot again right?) Any other possible solutions?? cheers
Hmm =\ yes you can flash the recovery from fastboot. But this seems to be a hardware issue. It's not responding at all?

yea not responding at all mate. Yea might be hardware issue but the problem came up as soon as the ROM was flashed so I was thinking it might be like a touch driver or something. I tried flashing recovery but I get this

If i cant sort this out in the next week....I might as well send it for repair and hope that the service guys dont discover that the phone is rooted and I have voided the warranty. Appreciate your help Muikkuman :good:

Guess what....I tried a vodafone uk RUU...thinking that it might have the vodafone splashscreen at boot up so repair guys dont suspect anything weird. When i flashed it the touchscreen magically started working  Now in order to root, recovery and ENG S-off.....I know there is like the ace hack kit. While reading the instructions, it said that I shouldnt use the tool if I have S-off and i do. Should i bite the bullet and give it a shot?
Here is the info for the phone
Android version: 2.2
Software number: 1.32.405.3
baseband version: 12.28b.60.140eU_26.03.02.15_M3
In the bootloader it says: Ace pvt ship S-off

Nope.
Check if you have a recovery. If not just flash one. I believe, not sure, that the hack kit will give you those options in the event you don't have a recocery.

Check to see what are the other options for the hack kit. I can't remember if it has one if you are already s-off. But do not run it again since you are already rooted, if you do it will mess things up.
I'll try to do a search in a few hours on how to fix your issue, if I don't fall asleep first. I can't remember the solution off the top of my head.
