I installed voodoo to work with cm9 and noticed that two things happened over time each day. the screen would start having lines scanning down from top to bottom like a refresh rate and the screen itself would get very very hot. I uninstalled voodoo and this issue went away. has anyone else experienced this? did I have the gamma hack values to high where i was doing more harm than good?
Your rgb values were to high. Could also be the high gamma values as well lower Gama is better.

YRMV but my screen only works well set a little higher than the "alternate" settings. Some screens work a little different than others. I had to play with the Voodoo setting and explore different brightness settings before I found a good balance.

Am I glad you started this thread! Over the weekend I went on a water ride and my phone got wet. Immediately after I experienced the very same thing with the scanning lines. I assumed it was due to water damage. Strangest thing though, it would only happen when I used the browser and or the email. All other screens were fine. I was just getting ready to pay up under the TEP and get my phone replaced. Removing Voodoo Color solved my problem! Thanks!

Just got my adam today....
Been having issues with the accelerometer seems like eveything in games or apps that use the function wants to go to the right..no other holding place works.. just veers sharp right. then when I twist it at around it will go the other way but then back to right if I keep turning it ...
also when I hold it with my left hand only in landscape mode you see a spot of pressure on the screen push in as if my pointer finger in the back is pushin on the screen.
any one have any ideas.. already have wiped and tried again still no luck
The crazy part is the homescreen (launcher pro) always orients the proper way all the way around.. but maybe its a different sensor .. i dont know.
EDIT: I ran the program on my G2 and the blue points up to sky, the green points the right and the red is pointing in my direction...
If there is no way to reset the center in that accelerometer than I might just have to send it back.
Below is when the tablet is on a flat service.. if anyone else can run Z-device test to see what it should be that would be awesome.. i need to know if I need to fix this or send it back

Also here is a video of me use the "Swing Ball" app which shows that the balls swing straight up.
They move recklessly when I move the tablet around.
i've been having the same issue, and a little poking around has not yet yielded a fix. i'm still looking, but if anyone else finds anything, it would be great to know

Hey guys
Something that's really annoying me is my phone still changes the display brightness level with everything turned off/manual
No power saving mod
Manual brightness
Screen mod standard
Stock browser is on manual
WTF is going on. Surely others have experienced this?
How do we turn it off
If your note 3 gets too hot it will reduce the screen brightness.....
Display Settings
Automatic contrast off!

It happens only 10min into use with just general browsing
Automatic contrast is already off
So is everyone happy that this is happening?
I cant believe no one else is bothered by it!!

It was bothering me A LOT but now something worse took over, the phone keeps rebooting and I've had to reset and start all over again and it's still happening. So the dimming is annoying but not nearly as annoying as not being able to use the phone at all!
I wrote about this throttling a few times here during the last days, search for my recent posts! in short: this throttling also happens when all auto brightness functions are turned off, and even if you manually set the lowest brightness! it depends on CPU load, thermal envelope and/or power-draw! I personally find it very annoying, especially because it happens also on lowest levels...

Hey guys,
When I turned on my Nexus 7 the other day, I noticed what looked like a white fingerprint against the screen, like someone had pressed against it too hard (no one had, it was sitting perfectly safe), and I had never seen this kind of problem before, so I thought I'd come here. I have two pictures of it. They aren't the best, but you can see the problem in them. Any ideas on what it is, and how to fix it?

That looks like a fissure or an unprecisely-shaped grid of dead pixels. Do you get that upon boot?

It had been dead for some time, but once I recharged and booted it up, I noticed it. It hadn't been there before, and I haven't tried resetting the tablet.

That would appear to be an issue with the hardware then, unfortunately. I don't think a reset will do anything if you noticed it as soon as you booted since it appears before the OS even started. Has the size or shape changed at all since you first noticed it? Does *gently* bending the tablet in any direction affect its appearance?
I've had my ups and downs with this phone, but today is where I might draw the line. After factory resetting this phone twice, the battery life has been awful, and today this phone got up to 106° F with the lowest brightness and only with WiFi on while browsing XDA on Chrome. I need to know if I should make good on that 2 year warranty, or if there is something that can be done about this.

Start with a factory reset. You obviously have something running the background consuming cpu.
I already have. Twice. It's a shame that this phone has no reliable way to monitor that, even with GSAM battery monitor.
Try better battery stats.
Alright

Food for thought - if you can't find an app that is making your CPU run nonstop then it has to be a problem with your firmware. Have you tried downloading the factory B20 from the ZTE website?
I tried a lot of things, including that update, but once I installed that firmware, I realized that CM 13 is stable for this phone now, so I went the extra steps and installed that on my phone. Thanks for the suggestions though.
May have inadvertently changed this in additional settings.
Can anyone advise what their default is or conversely what setting give the best result?.
Assuming it’s the setting for the screen (panel)?
However if it’s for the buttons I’m told this unit is fixed orange for the oem mercedes look.
It was trying to second guess that that made me fiddle with the setting [emoji51].
Screen looks nice but my work galaxy phone is more vibrant.
Hence some ill advised touching late at night after fitting it when me and my man flu should have been in bed.
Screen as is.

Here’s some further shots.
Pretty much got to grips with it now, all up and running including my reverse camera
Still have the dull screen though.
Any ideas if it’s a setting, some sort of potentiometer or a loose cable?.
Had good support off the vendor so far so not too concerned just would like it more vibrant and colourful.
Don’t think it’s that rgb setting as that was I think for the buttons
Here it is top is a screen grab, bottom is how it looks with my galaxy next to it to show the difference.
Any ideas?, I saw that the Joying have a potentiometer for screen calibration do these?
It’s a PX5, Erisin/Seicane/Whatever [emoji23][emoji23][emoji51][emoji51]?*
