i installed windows 8 cp two days ago and i was try to activate it but it gives me some error code like this one 0x8000deec
and the product key and date and time are correct
plz help i want to personalize my windows 8 and its only posdible after activatation

Hi guys, I installed the Windows Live Package from http://www.live-messenger.nl/download/WindowsLive.PPC2005_ARM.CAB. It worked perfect, now i wanted to know how much memory this app costed, so i uninstalled it again. But when i tried to install it again, it failed When i open the cab, it loads approx. 5 seconds in the installer, then the installer says Installation of WindowsLive.PPC2005_ARM.CAB has failed Anybody suggestions how i can get this work??
p.s. Without a hard reset
I have also done the same thing and get the same error. I had to uninstall Windows Live Mobile because I was getting an error everytime I tried to launch Live Messenger. Now I can't re-install it again.
I have 2 main ideas:
1st.: Microsoft is cutting the service from these "un-official" releases of their software, as they are trying now to sell Windows Mobile 6 and Windows Live can't be downloaded or installed let's say "legally".
2nd. (which doesn't affect the first one): Microsoft recognizes the WLM software as not pre-installed or being installed on a Windows Mobile 5 device and tells the client to get "blocked", I mean, it writes some values to the registry and prevents being launched or installed again showing the empty error message I had before unistalling it.
Someone can verify any of my ideas or bring a solution to have WLM working again on our WM5 devices?

Romero i've found the problem! I got my hands on an UNdated UNrestricted version. As you said mic. just cut the WLM off. I do not knowe why but here is the fix http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=36364&d=1175459584

neither of those are correct, the reason is thats its a beta and expired at the beginning of the month. therefore you cant run the program or install it. just get a new beta version by signing up to Microsoft Connect or use the older version thats been extracted from wm6 thats floating around here.

The version The Dutchman posted was in English, but I find out that the Aserg's file was several kB bigger... That made me think and decided to install this bigger one and finally got Windows Live Mobile working in Spanish, just like before my beta had expired.

i a new new to the rom flashing and stuff, but i have some problems.
I have a typhoon myguide 6500xl with windows 2003SE on it
now i want to put windows mobile 6 on it, but that don't work
I followed the guide, but it won't install the cert.cab and the SPVServices won't work then because they do'nt have the dll, and they cannnort create a file.
The cert.cab gives an error : it is not a windows ce file.
So i cannot run it.
Could someone give me a Hand ? the SDA_application(ran it from my pc, worked fine it says, when i put it on my pda it won't work: not a windows ce file

A strange thing happened today while I was trying to unlock my Touch. For background, I've got a dual-boot setup on my desktop machine, XP Pro Media Centre & Vista Ultimate.
I found the appropriate files on this forum, downloaded them, installed the CAB files on the Touch and attempted the unlock. I read the unlock file in the supplied hex reader, found an IMEI number and the following 8 digit unlock code, but the IMEI number was wrong - it didn't match the phone or the original box. I tried several times - always the same. I didn't risk trying the unlock code because I wouldn't know what to do if it failed.
So I booted into my XP partition, repeated the process and got the correct IMEI number and a different unlock code, which, when applied, unlocked the phone!
I have no idea why this happens, but it might be useful to someone who's having problems.

after using android for months and no stable version yet , and i need a stereo headset

but the mobile restart at 1% and the pc gives the error wrong vendor id

the pc running windows 7 64 bit is that has any realation to the error , becaous i remmeber that i installed shipped rom in my old laptop and it was fine "but that was befor starting install android "
There are many ROMs for this HTC HD Mini,
So You should try the Right one made for your phone, simply contact HTC support, and give them your phone's ID code, written in your box or in your phone. and they will give you the right WM6.5 ROM.
hi i have a problem while i link device with pc on virtual machine with Windows xp.
i know someone will ask ''why u use virtual machine?'' well on s.o. principal i have Windows 7 ultimate N and i can't install drivers of the device,so i must use vm or format,and for now i don't want format.
anyway untill today at 2p.m. was all right after i don't know what happen but started problems with that error:
''impossible start some essential comunication services.Set up the device,then try to do a connection''
i'm from italy so sorry for my English and the translate of the error.
anyway i tryed do erase the connection with the device,to uninstall and reinstall activesyn(with the reboot in the middle of operations) but nothing.i also tryed to create a new account,but same error.
with another virtual machine,with Windows 8 work good,so i suppose no need a hard reset,i hope.
