I dont have a problem with it. What problem exactly do you have? What does it says when you try to install it?
MX player its the best player for subtitle support, it actually can read internal ssa subs in mkv with full color coding and position. No other player ive tried does this.

+1 have it installed no problem
I have installed and used MX player in both 2.3.4 and 2.3.6 stock rom with no problem. Make sure you choose the player itself, not the codec in the market(or google play).
On the other hand, rooting a device will not likely help the installation problem. Flashing a new rom may help though.
I have no problem with installation.

Hello together!
I have to apologize myself in advance. I am total newby here in that. But i am giving my best.
I already flashed nand-android ROMS and also CWM ROMS. Now I have the newest Typhoon ROM on it but with all of these ROMs i had the same problem:
No avi files will play!!!!! (sometimes only the sound played but no screen, but most often, the file wont play at all)
I found some other threads where to download some plugins or drivers, but how do i implement them?
Please help me!!
Greetings Putti71
I never knew android could play those toys of files. I personally just use vplayer
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
pretty sure android doesnt play avi files without the use of a 3rd party app such as rockplayer
I have updated my Galaxy S to the fallowing roms
JVB - NEEJV3
JVB - XEEJV3
Before this 2 rom I could TV out my phone and watch movies with subtitle from Mvideoplayer... (2.2 - 2.2.1 )
after updatetin 2.3.3 TV out resolution just blury resolution is so bad and no subtitles shows ( PAL and NTSC not working )
Does anybody have the same problem or someone knows any solution ?
Im on AV composite ( 3 color cable ) ...
Is TV out in 2.3.3 Beta just a thought ..
You tried factory reset.
jje
I have try to facrory reset and wipe all data too ... nothing changed ...
I have the same problem and touch becomes laggy and VERRY inaccurate when cable is plugged in. Have had several reboots with tv-out cable attached.
Try to open the video from the stock file explorer with stock player, shows subs (looks bad but works).

Today I have tested TV-out of SGS JVK 2.3.3 and there was not any clear picture. It looked like an analog TV having trouble.
Hi, is there any news about this?
I found discussion on Darky's forum, but i could't find any solution.

Subtitles with TV-Out are not working (Gingerbread)
Description: When using TV-Out, subtitles are not displayed at the TV as expected. Worked in Froyo versions.
Originally discussed:http://www.darkyrom.com/community/index.php?threads/tv-out-in-v10-1-10.3154/
Fix/Workaround: Currently there seems to be none.

This is not ROM releted bug. It doesn't work for me on any stock or custom Gingerbread rom, but works fine on FROYO.
Has anyone found a solution, or is there any indications that samsung is aware of this?
no problem for me
Yes ,in any gingerbread Rom ,darky 10 ,110.1 ,base Romes , ... Ive installed the problem exists.
And the problem is when you play a video in hardware mode with any program ,subtitle and menus wont be shown on Tv screen while they are on phone's screen at the same time.
I hope some manager at least confirme this problem
same problem here

Hello I tried this rom and the dsp does not work by changing the values there is no change even if I move from music to dsp fx some ideas!

I don't know if it's the case here, but lots of users in civ's thread have reported weird issues occurring because they didn't do a FULL wipe before they flashed the rom. Back up apps and their data in either Titanium Backup or MyBackup, and then make 100% certain you follow the wipe instructions to the letter - full wipe, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache, format flexrom, etc. If you didn't at least do every one of those, my guess is that's what's causing your problem.
I would try reinstalling the rom with a FULL wipe, and see where that gets you...
PS - you'll probably have better luck receiving help by posting in the main flexreaper thread, and then there's not a seperate post.

No , no problems here , but all depends on file formats.
I will take a good look if I can do something in R12.5.
