Galaxy S 2.3.3 Update and TV-Out Problem... - Galaxy S I9000 General

I have updated my Galaxy S to the fallowing roms
JVB - NEEJV3
JVB - XEEJV3
Before this 2 rom I could TV out my phone and watch movies with subtitle from Mvideoplayer... (2.2 - 2.2.1 )
after updatetin 2.3.3 TV out resolution just blury resolution is so bad and no subtitles shows ( PAL and NTSC not working )
Does anybody have the same problem or someone knows any solution ?
Im on AV composite ( 3 color cable ) ...

Is TV out in 2.3.3 Beta just a thought ..
You tried factory reset.
jje

I have try to facrory reset and wipe all data too ... nothing changed ...

I have the same problem and touch becomes laggy and VERRY inaccurate when cable is plugged in. Have had several reboots with tv-out cable attached.
Try to open the video from the stock file explorer with stock player, shows subs (looks bad but works).

I think that is tv-out better on the gingerbread because subtitles is now enabled in stock player...I am on juwe 4.1 rom!

Today I have tested TV-out of SGS JVK 2.3.3 and there was not any clear picture. It looked like an analog TV having trouble.

Hi, is there any news about this?
I found discussion on Darky's forum, but i could't find any solution.

Subtitles with TV-Out are not working (Gingerbread)
Description: When using TV-Out, subtitles are not displayed at the TV as expected. Worked in Froyo versions.
Originally discussed:http://www.darkyrom.com/community/index.php?threads/tv-out-in-v10-1-10.3154/
Fix/Workaround: Currently there seems to be none.

This is not ROM releted bug. It doesn't work for me on any stock or custom Gingerbread rom, but works fine on FROYO.
Has anyone found a solution, or is there any indications that samsung is aware of this?

no problem for me

Yes ,in any gingerbread Rom ,darky 10 ,110.1 ,base Romes , ... Ive installed the problem exists.
And the problem is when you play a video in hardware mode with any program ,subtitle and menus wont be shown on Tv screen while they are on phone's screen at the same time.
I hope some manager at least confirme this problem

same problem here

Can anyone else confirm that is common bug for all gingerbread?

Any solution to this?

Sorry to dig up an old-ish thread but does anyone know if the problem persists in 2.3.6?

Wow! News to me. Thought it was only possible on froyo too.
I read through the comments on that site from the link you posted. They say that it only works on HTC devices although someone
claimed it worked on their Samsung Moment. Anyway, I dont think it works for our device. Im going to give it a shot though.
I just tried it, dosnt work. Propably works on HTC only.
so how to solve??? we have a 2,1 android eclair device , we have flash player package 10,1 for eclair and no way to get it working?? there must be a way !!!
The way is developing now on 4pda.ru by me. It is connected with adobe air.
yes, i took a look :d but for now i see no browser integration right??
Not now, but I think it will be possible to start flash in browser on click.
Doesnt work on my phone too
Flash still doesnt work on Quarx ROM v0.1
It's good news to find out that its possible to run flash 10.1 on eclair. Bad news to find out it doesn't work on the gt540.
Once i search on the samsung galaxy s spica forum and found out the same thing, but to get it running you had to change some settings in the browser.

Did the guys in the galaxy s spica forum talk about what settings in particular needed changing in the browser?
It was in the samsung i5700 section (i'll try to find the info). If im not mistaken they had to change some settings in the browser, but it would slow the browser. Like I said, i'll search and find that info again.
Flash 10.1 requires ARMv7 CPU. So it'll never work unless a binary is compiled for ARMv6.
My 2 cents.

[Q] Flash Player 10.3 on Royal Ginger 2.1/2.0 No video?

Hello everybody I am new here and I hope I posted this thread in the right place. I haven't seen anyone else make mention of this problem so I decided to put it up myself.
I am getting no video on the any browser from flash player 10.3 although I am getting audio. So I decided to downgrade to flash player 10.2 and then I got video but no audio. then I downgraded to 10.1 and it didn't even recognize it.
So is anyone else having this problem? Are there any fixes?
Thank you.

so you deleted 10.3 and installed 10.1. Try fixing permissions and rebooting.

Screen Tearing ICS

Hi, since the latest experimental versions up to 3.1, I get screen tearing in the while watching videos
The last version where this didn't happen was Aurora 3.0 beta2 update1b.
Is there any way to fix this?(I don't know how to turn v-sync on on ICS)
Thank you.

I have this too... I hope dzo fixes this issue. It should be kernel related since it appeared with martin.update patch at it exists at 3.1 too. You can notice many glinches at the UI while opening apps, rotating the screen or openning the menu dialog!
Cheers

it can be caused by the unlocked fps
if screen cant handle it , then you will have tearing
So I guess there is no way to turn v-sync on/lock fps?

I use the kernel from beta2_update2 and those glinches where gone without noticing any problems yet. Try to copy the boot.img at your .cust_backup/image folder and replace the existing one.

[Q] Problem with Vine android app?

Hi friends, I recently installed the new Vine app for android. I know it still has some bugs but my problem is this:
When I open the app I can use everything fine, but when I try to record a new video the app crashes and immediately reboots the S4.
My S4 is an international I9500 and I have the Russian unbranded AMDK firmware.
Sent from my GT-I9500 using xda app-developers app
anyone? you just have to install it from Play Store and test it out guys. I just want to confirm it's not a problem with my device. Thank you!
Here is a link to the Vine APP https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.vine.android
Vine records video with no problems on my i9500 (WanamLite ME1 V1.2 / Adamkernel 1.3.2)
Anyone has tried yet with a stock ROM?

I have. Update 1.0.2 didn't fix the problem... waiting for 1.0.3.
It's not recording for me either. I have a GSII (sprint) running SuperNexus 4.2.2. I installed it on my friend's S3 and had no problems with it.

What are your symptoms?
--------------------------------------------------
So must be a ROM or Kernel problem. It should not be a hardware related problem as our friend with a custom ROM is not having problems at all.

It seems to be custom ROM problems and the people at Vine say there's a bug. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2313136
They just don't say when there will be a fix.
As for now, I get the super long "initializing" then the screen seems fine, press to record and I get the crash and the message saying Vine app has closed.
Ok, so I guess we'll just have to wait for a fix from Vine. Hope they do it soon.

I get exactly the same problem on Galaxy S2 i9100p running SuperNexus. Doesn't that link from the Vine developer (if it's genuine) suggest it's an issue that needs fixing on the ROM side of things? As he says "it did not implement one of the camera method..that we are relying on to work properly. Just want to let you guys know what the problem is"
