[Q] No Video Files playing! - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

Hello together!
I have to apologize myself in advance. I am total newby here in that. But i am giving my best.
I already flashed nand-android ROMS and also CWM ROMS. Now I have the newest Typhoon ROM on it but with all of these ROMs i had the same problem:
No avi files will play!!!!! (sometimes only the sound played but no screen, but most often, the file wont play at all)
I found some other threads where to download some plugins or drivers, but how do i implement them?
Please help me!!
Greetings Putti71

I never knew android could play those toys of files. I personally just use vplayer

pretty sure android doesnt play avi files without the use of a 3rd party app such as rockplayer

[QUESTION] HTC Flash Player

I've flashed my 32A Magic with Fatal1ty's 1.4 Hero Rom ... and I noticed that there was HTC Flash Player installed when i go inside the Application Manager, however i don't know how to actually access it ... or does that only mean that I can access flash based sites through the browser?
Or can i open *.swf files through astro or something like ... if i can, please inform me how i can
cheers
yes. as fas as I know, you can access flash based sites through the browser with that
Did you try opening the browser and visiting a flash based website yet?
That is true. I was able to show my friends a stupid .swf using my phone. It played surprisingly smooth!

Devinitive Answer - Flash possible or not ?

Good Morning,
After many weeks of wrangling with my new LG P500 and going through one LG service center re-instal ( my fault ! ) I am loving my phone finally. Yesterday someone put me onto Tiny Shark ( the music service ) and I thought all my Xmas' had come at once. However after loading a bunch of play-lists and then trying to play.....no sound ! I googled and found varying threads about putting flash on the LG p500 ( android 2.2.2). You can / you cant / you can / you cant / etc etc. Anyway I did find some threads with links to a .apk flash file which I SEEM to have successfully loaded onto my phone using app loader. It says it installed
However, tinyshark still wont play sound. It plays.,.....just no sound and yes I have checked my volume settings
So....please......can someone give me the definitive answer about flash on this phone ?
thanks
i believe the flash is only for the browser
If I'm correct it only works in the browser.
Sorry - you have both confused me !
In the tinyshark settings you have the option to check if flash is installed and when i do that is tells me that....yes.....flash is installed. it also says if there is still a problem using tinyshark to go to a browser and see if it is working there. So i go to a flash site and no....it does not seem to work. I am just confused as to why flash seems to have loaded for all intense purposes with no error messages etc.
its a buggy version of flash which is not intended to work on our phone but works 50% with some errors and crashes... if adobe dont release flash for armv6 we cant do anything much??

Yep, the flash apk found in the forums works well with Tinyshark!
Flash can work for content such as power point or flash games on mini chip but the is not enough processor power for video on the browser, they play but not properly

I dont have a problem with it. What problem exactly do you have? What does it says when you try to install it?
MX player its the best player for subtitle support, it actually can read internal ssa subs in mkv with full color coding and position. No other player ive tried does this.

+1 have it installed no problem
I have installed and used MX player in both 2.3.4 and 2.3.6 stock rom with no problem. Make sure you choose the player itself, not the codec in the market(or google play).
On the other hand, rooting a device will not likely help the installation problem. Flashing a new rom may help though.
I have no problem with installation.
