I tried many rom's with 4.4.1 and all i have the same problem. I install mx video player i.e. and give me the error "android version not supported". I tried also with other recomended video players and still have the same problem. only with VLC play the video, but with horrible image and stops after 5 segs.
Anyone have the same problem?
I asked in PURITY ROM (that is the rom im using) and replay me dosent have problems, and i see is not rom problems..

I'm posting this here because I can't post in the devlopers forum. I first installed Libery 1.5 from stock, the music player and anything to do with video files don't work. Music player says it can not play the file type, camcorder youtube ect. all force close. I tryed Multiple different ROM links for liberty 1.5 and couldn't get them to work. I just tryed fission 2.6 and same thing.
These things did work with my stock phone so please help. Can't imagine all of these ROM's all have the same glitch.
Sounds like you're not on the latest software. Are you on .340?

I don't think he is. I helped him get root and we flashed Librerty 1.5. I noticed it may be a kernel issue, as some other people have posted having errors with the music files. Is there a way to get him on the latest software? .. excuse me for not knowing, i use a different handset.
*EDIT* wiped data/factory reset and cleared caches.. installed a different ROM and all seems to be working correctly.
I loaded Dark Slide 3.2.1 now it all works fine. don't know but Dark slide is pretty sick I think I'll stick with it.

I dont have a problem with it. What problem exactly do you have? What does it says when you try to install it?
MX player its the best player for subtitle support, it actually can read internal ssa subs in mkv with full color coding and position. No other player ive tried does this.

+1 have it installed no problem
I have installed and used MX player in both 2.3.4 and 2.3.6 stock rom with no problem. Make sure you choose the player itself, not the codec in the market(or google play).
On the other hand, rooting a device will not likely help the installation problem. Flashing a new rom may help though.
I have no problem with installation.

I also have the same problem however I read somewhere that you only have that on android 4.2.2 , so based on that I would say you would have to downgrade to android 4.2.1 to use the app .
