I wasn't complaining I was just asking for help, damn.
I'm starting to think my storage is corrupted and that might be the issue. I've been having USB issues on my computer and for a temporary fix while at the beach I cleared data and reflashed 4.0.4. It helped but its been an hour and my pictures/media never showed up.
I'll just backup my stuff when I'm home and reformat everything. Start clean.

Thanks for the replies guys, I ended up using One Click Restore To Stock and backed up my personal files on a computer. Gingerbread is flying and I'm hoping the fresh system will handle the ICS update a little better considering USB is completely clean now.
Just waiting on the ICS update. On 2.3.7 at the moment

I have done a hard reset/wipe and still I can't do it, it just always comes back with "download unsuccessful".
Please can anyone help?
This is wierd I am getting the same thing happening when I sign into My galaxy S, I can't download any apps? is the Android market likely to be down? or is there something I need to do to my account?

Thanks for the reply, I tried this but it was still the same, and when I connect my google account to my Galaxy S it does the same thing, this is over wifi or 3g, is there any chance that the google servers are down or something?
Looks like I am not the only one then:

I've been on 2.3.3 for a few days now but I got tired of it this morning so I decided to go back to CyanogenMod but I had this issue. Nothing would download at all. It was very, very frustrating. I ended up going back to 2.3.3 stock and its working fine again. I'm really not sure what the hell was going on.

@Dax05: Don't wait for the OTA. Just download it from xda (make sure you download the right file for you), and follow the instructions. It's really easy. I did it in 5 minutes. It's been a week now and everything runs smoothly!

[INFO] Reduce / Eliminate FCs (and perhaps reboots)

For those of you who are having FC's or reboot problems, I recommend trying this (on all roms):
clear cache / DC 3x
flash the rom form the sd card
immediately flash the rom again
Do all of this without rebooting. What ive noticed a LOT is that I often get curious issues with roms, and then I flash them again and dont get those issues anymore (--or, I get a different set of curious issues). Since i do everything else the same, it seems that it must have been the flash that was problematic. just as we have grown accustomed to wipe data multiple times to ensure a successful clear, we should also become accustomed to flashing (especially for larger files more prone to exhibiting problems) multiple times to ensure a clean and successful write.
I know there was a GB ram leakage problem with EG22/EH06 which was causing reboots, but even with these roms you shouldnt be experiencing FC's right out of the box. A lot of people have claimed to run EH17 without any reboots (or FCs) so you too should be able to experience it. Good luck all.
PS - If you have Journaling OFF, make sure your phone doesn't die due to lack of power! Keep it charged. Four times so far I've been thrown into the chaos of "The application Google services Framework has stopped unexpectedly," due to letting un-journaled phones die. Now, I just keep it on for data safety / integrity.
First. Good tip.
you'll probably get flamed for posting this in development though.

I brought the lighters, let's getm,,,,, oh, well damn, good tip man.
You know I have never had to flash anything twice and things go pretty well with my flashes for the most part but I do one thing that isn't usually mentioned. After I do all the wipes 3x (data cache dalvik) I go into mounts and storage and I format data cache and system. The data and cache obviously have already been formatted but none of the wipes ever touch system. The ROM script must do that I guess, but I figure why not play it safe and personally clean all the file systems... Works for me.

great tip.. im about to try it RIGHT NOW.. I have wiped and reinstalled roms for the past 2 days now.. because I keep getting reboots and force closes.. even before I try to install any new apps.. im now on a rooted stock deodexed EG22.. that I just flashed about 2 hours ago.. I will now try a custom rom and fash twice and see how it works out for me..
This sounded interesting so I broke my vow not to flash gingerbread again until it was released. I decided to do everything differently than I had in all the previous installs and follow the OPs directions. I'm running EC05 rooted with CWM, so I downloaded the stock odex EH17 zip, followed the clearing suggestions in this post, and flashed EH17 in CWM. Flashed it twice as suggested. Flashed SU, and rebooted.
Long story short, after about 90 minutes it rebooted on its own.
Glad I made a nandroid backup before I started this, because I'm back on stock EC05 rooted again.
all gb roms will have fc's; this is just a procedure to make sure that the fc's you Do experience are caused by errors in the rom's programming as opposed to flashing errors =]

I had great success with EH17 using the Tegrak config along with the EH17Plus Kernel. Also, I found that the only time I did get a reboot was when I was using the hotspot or wireless tether. But it only happened when the phone got hot and was NOT on the charger. No reboots at all when tethering if I had the phone plugged into the charger, or during any other usage. I recently went back to EC05 to use the SRF1.2 ROM. EH17's modem was a lot faster too, imo. Going back when more ROMs become available.
Also, I tried Hurricane but got fc's. I'll try it again with the doube flash. I liked it otherwise. Now that I think about it, I was flashing modems and started getting fc's on SRF1.2. But none after I flashed it again (double). So this may be the trick if you're having fc's.

Samsung Nexus S 4G updated to support Google Wallet

Samsung Nexus S 4G updated to support Google Wallet
This has been posted on Engadget
"It looks like the rumors are true, folks -- the long-awaited update that brings Google Wallet to the Samsung Nexus S 4G on Sprint is indeed here, just two days shy of missing the "summer" deadline completely. We're pretty scant on details at the moment, but the announcement has shown up on an official FAQ page on Samsung's site informing us that build GWK74 is available. If you're a proud owner of the now fully-functional device, you should receive a notification stating that an update is available to deliver the goods via an OTA refresh. We're not sure how long it will take for this to get pushed out to everyone, so a bit of patience may need to be exercised here as you wait. Let us know if you're one of the lucky recipients below."
Has anyone else seen or heard about this yet? Is this different from when this was posted on Sprints site? Will it actually be rolled out now?
Samsung
Sprint update page shows nothing.
No update on my 4G yet.
FOTA_CANCEL is the harshest of messages at times like these.
What's the possibility of pulling the app off of a Sprint Nexus S and having it work on a T-Mo Nexus S?

I'm sure someone will post the APK soon, but given that it requires NFC Secure Element support, it might have to wait for a similar OS update to enable it on the non-Sprint models. Time will tell.

The access to the SE has been in AOSP since 2.3.5. If you have a pure AOSP or other custom rom based off of AOSP you should have access to the SE. If you are running stock 2.3.4 you won't though.

And i'm assuming that if you're on a non-stock rom that you can't OTA right?

i just flashed back to stock, got a 22MB update and it's rebooting and installing now. will edit post later once i get the chance to play with it
I tried updating my stock rooted to the grj22 or whatever...I didnt have the stock apps in /system cause i deleted them, like books, google earth, etc. I wanted to try to update even though I knew I needed the stock /system. I put the stock recovery on it but because the update couldnt find the original files, the update failed.

[Q] Stock Unrooted Flashable ROM

Does anyone know of a stock flashable ROM without Root and Busybox?
I'm aware of the thread guiding people on going back to factory but I don't want to do that. I want to be able to just flash a Rooted ROM if I want one and flash back to standard unrooted if I want using TWRP.
My reason behind this that I spend a lot of time on the train at the minute so decided to get Sky Go. Unfortunately it detects that the device is rooted and won't run.
There are a few threads around the net with scripts and suggestions but nothing seems to work for me.
I don't think there are any..... Hmmm.

You can flash the stock ROM with fastboot but not from within recovery. Get it here: https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images

If you could do that it would be great.
I was just looking at the tutorial to bake it myself but having issues with Cygwin. Much quicker and easier if you did it.
Owe you one.
I use Linux so it won't take long. You literally want a flashable stock ROM, no changes whatsoever?

Exactly. I use a standard stock rooted ROM usually.
Just realised I don't actually use root for anything at the minute but likely will do in the future.

Very cool that you've done this, but I should give a word of caution: there are some problems that wiping via fastboot will fix, but installing a flashable stock .zip won't fix. For example, when a 16GB phone thinks it's only 8GB. (I have reason to believe that there are other problems that can only be fixed in this way, but I can't prove it. :silly
That's not something the OP cared about, he just needed to 'unroot' to use a TV app that checks for root access

I tried that.
I tried a script that was published on the net to remove root and busybox.
I tried removing root and busybox manually.
I tried flashing stock kernal
I tried several other apps.
A flashable stock rom was my last resort as I was under the impression that I'd need to wipe and I didn't want to do that. I just tried it without wiping on the off chance that it worked and it did, so problem solved.
None of my Apps were using Root so I thought I'd get rid of it completely but wanted the option to flash CM10.1 once Bluetooth MAP profile is fixed and working without having to go through putting TWRP on again.
It's all in the OP and posts following that.
EddyOS saw what I was after and offered to help. He's a great dude.
Just for learning purposes, how come no one has made a flashable stock zip until now? Wouldn't it just be like any custom rom but instead its just stock?

Int'l ROMs?

I found a *****en ROM named Nameless in the f/g variants of the Note 4. Was all psyched to flash it and play with it only to realize there's data issues. Is there any body who knows how to fix the data issue or maybe properly port this to our device?

T_T I'm not sure of what to search for. For branded roms it's relatively easy, but as an INT'L ROM I'm not sure if my process would work. So it's just some obscure file? I was thinking it may be because I flashed something wrong. No chance you can remember where you think you may have seen it? Like xda or another site?

I have been trying my hardest, asking on every forum i can find, to find out how to get the beta release of emotion kernel R24 for N910T. Not one single response.....but anyway. It is my understanding that the latest release of Emotion Revolution rom has r24 kernel as an option in aroma. My question is this; would it be possible to unzip the R23 kernel zip for N910T and replace only the R24 boot image from the emotion rom and leave all the other system files. Or would that be a really bad idea? Ha. I just want the kernel on Tekhds URv7. I know this is possible a really stupid question but I'm just now beginning to learn all the technical details of these things. And I will say ahead of time that any answer will be beneficial because I don't know much about how a N910T kernel differs from international as far as data is concerned or what the fix actually fixes when you flash it. But if it has any relwvance my phone is carrier unlocked and i dont even use tmobile. My goal is to learn something new everyday without hard bricking my baby like I did my N900A. I'm not by any means new to rooting but am very new to having a device that I can actually play with. Thanks in advance and us noobies appreciate everybodys patience.
