Wow!
It has more features than the OPERA MINI and works just great. Tested only for a short while using GPRS as its expensive.
hi
can you put the cab here for download and does it render the flash and java websites???
thanks (by flash enabled i mean if you go to www.bmw.com or www.nissanusa.com then you should be able to see the flash animations on their website)
thanks
Someone already posted it. Please follow this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=35595&highlight=opera+8+5
I tried it, and it worked well.
I tried the BMW site. No animation could be seen.
Tested on my Dopod 900
It works SUPER FAST 8)
much better than IE and NetFront, but I think its reletively slow when browsing a Non english webpage
It doesn't support porxies
The PIE works great with proxy, but Opera doesn't !!!
you gotta thank des for it
No it does not support flash enabled sites.
The version 3.2 of Netfront though did but it is no longer compatible with WM5. NetFront's latest technical preview version 3.3 release 103 also does not support flash enabled sites but I think this is just a limitation of the technical preview version. Once the commercial version is released let us see if it does or does not support flash enabled sites. I am hopeful though that it will.
Kind Regards

Anyone knows where the cookies, history, favorites, history are stored in the registry?
Thanks
I will be much appreciated if anyone has information on writing plugins for Opera Mobile. From the link below of Opera's site:
http://dev.opera.com/articles/view/the-opera-plug-in-interface/
I have built a dll for based on the API mentioned in the article and I have modified Opera Mobile's plugins path but it never get initiated at all. I start to wonder it it is doable or Opera Mobile just simply does not support this kind of plugins contrary to information provided in the link, which clearly stated that is support mobile phone. Thanks in advance for any information that could shed light on this issue.
what do i need to install on to my xv6800 to see videos on website..i'll try and go on a certain website and it says you don't have the latest flash player installed..but i can't find what to install..i have all the youtube crap to watch those video..but is there something i can download to see flash on websites??
You gotta use the stickies = search Xda using google
Dude... you gotta use the search function for this website, or you could have just google'd that sh!t. It's been an issue for years.
You cannot watch embedded flash videos in Internet Explorer Mobile (IEM 6). Maybe we can hold out hope for Windows Mobile 7/Windows CE 6. (but I doubt it).
You could wait for the Opera Mobile 9.5beta to show flash or you can sign up for the beta testing of Skyfire.
So far skyfire is the only successful browser I've used that does it well.
I've moved this thread to Titan as it does not belong in Titan Upgrading. In the future, please read the announcements/stickies prior to creating threads/posting.
Skyfire works great but the zooming feature sucks it's a little slow.
Hi Guys,
I developed an android app and available in the market.
On clicking the link, now here after the opera mini will also be in the list to open the link.
Please give me your suggestions to improve it.
thanks,
Andfreek!..
Can you please clarify what it is you made, what it is called, and clarify your post? Having some difficulty understanding.
I made an application which will allow the opera mini browser to be opened when ever you click a web link in the Android phone.
Earlier the default Opera mini does not have this feature, which is irritating!..
The name of the app is the name of this thread
just downloaded it. looks great.
Found this out when going thru the HD2 Q&A sub-forum. Opera released OMini 5.1 the other day. Enjoy.
Opera Mini 5.1 for Windows Mobile is here!
The long-awaited Opera Mini 5.1 for Windows Phone 6.5, Windows Mobile 6, Windows Mobile 5, and Windows Mobile 2003 based handsets has finally arrived. We have worked days and nights to improve on every aspect of the browser and make it integrate even better with the Windows Mobile platform. Some highlights include default browser functionality and a completely rewritten IME solution that taps directly into the device's own input method. A big thanks to all our users on Windows Mobile who have waited so patiently for this release.
NEW FEATURES
- Ability to set Opera Mini as default browser on the device.
- Support for g-sensor screen rotation on HTC and Samsung devices.
- Support for predictive input if the device supports it natively.
- Improved page layout on high-resolution screens.
- Improved kinetic scrolling.
- Use HQVGA skin for devices with less than QVGA resolution.
- Installer is now signed with VeriSign so Opera Mini will be a trusted application on your handset.
- Alternative installer that works on Windows Mobile 2003 Pocket PC devices.
- Advanced configuration in registry for power-users (see here for more information).
BUG FIXES
- Multitap input is working on 'classic' keypad devices.
- Input is working on qwerty keypad devices by Samsung and Amoi.
- Keypad shortcuts working on more devices.
- Ability to download files to memory card.
- Clock in Opera Mini is correct in all time zones now.
- Spanish locale is correctly detected.
- URLs and downloaded files can be passed to other applications as a platform request.
- Many bug fixes in Opera Mini browser core for stability and rendering accuracy.
NOTES
- Opera Mini 5.1 will be installed in parallel with Opera Mini 5.0 beta if the latter is already installed on your device.
- Opera Mini 5.1 will not import existing user data from Opera Mini 5.0 beta. Please consider using Opera Link to bring over bookmarks and speed dials to the new version.
- When set as default browser, Opera Mini 5.1 will not be the default viewer application for html files or other web page related files that may exist locally on your device.

i have always used mini in mobile view but iirc when a page is zoomed out it'll auto zoom to wherever you tap on the page. i don't think there is pinch to zoom.

I like it because it's faster & I just like it a lot better. Give it a try & see how you like it.
can you tell a big difference between mini 5.1 and mobile 9.7
BSBtweaks has a tweak where you can enable pinch to zoom on just about any program.
