hi..
i'm new here. i'm often using this page and first i want to say thanks
don't know, if there is another topic to that problem. i didn't find one.
a few days ago, i bought a lg optimus 7 on ebay because i can't interop my htc throphy (bootloader 5.xx).
now i want to start the bootloader of my lg. i push volume down and tap on my power button. phone starts and runs normaly - but doesn't go in bootloaderscreen - although i push volume- button anymore.
Does anyone know if that's normal or what could be the reason that bootloader doesn't start?
Model: LG E900
Software: Windows Phone 7.5
Operating System Version: 7.10.8107.79
Bootloaderversion: 1.5.1.0
if you want to get in the emergency donwload mode, you should press vol- + camera button + power button.

hi there,
i bought this phone off ebay from someone who said i can reflash it to work.
it appears that the phone is realy dead.
The phone starts at&t splash appears, seems that it boots ok, however another splash screen appears saying GOODBYE and the phone powers off itself.
i tried to connect the phone on my PC with no luck. Used all the drivers and instructions through various forums but it appears that the phone is only found as "unknown device"!
When I try the Bootloader mode, I get :
*USB Downloader-Xcingular V1.2
[Phone] Active OFF
If i press left soft key + camera + power button, it boots into some other menu that has the windows moobile logo and on the very top it says:
Hit space or "0" to enter configuration
then if i press other buttons on the mouse it lists the following and after a few seconds it boots and powers off as in normal mode.
OEMLaunch BOOT Version : i607UCGD
INFO: Launch Windows CE .NET by jum
is there a solution to this stupid flash or shall i keep the accessories and battery and throw it in the garbage.
cheers
tio
Unfortunately no one has yet discovered a way to recover from this (flashing the wrong eboot to the phone)
If you are going to discard it, I would be willing to pay shipping etc. to see if I could resurrect it.
how would you go about doing that man?
i could resurrect it too if it was possible.
would a serial cable do the job?
is it the bootloader the problem?
is it that the phone cannot be recognized by the PC?
what is the problem here actually?
Hi Guys,
I'm in big troubles....
my Universal died after a radio upgrade....so I need to flash it again with another Rom.
The problem is that the power button is phisically...it's un-solded
That's the question: there's a way to enter in bootloader without pushing power button and without the possibility to execute something from the mobile phone?
I tried to HR (soft key + reset) I get the white screen, I push 0...then nothing!
BLACK SCREEN!!
HELP MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
Read up on ABD using Android SDK.
You can push commands through to your phone
I have no volume controls so I know how you feel.
I'm trying to think back. Doesn't it switch to bootloader if you start to flash (when you have active sync connected).
Otherwise you may have to find the solder tags for the power button and short them to perform the switch to bootloader.
Hi guys,
I bought a phone from Amazon.de which was an unlocked Vodafone branded E900. I want to use it on o2 uk.
I've been following the thread over here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=935578 which has been absolutely brilliant.
I'm really struggling to put my phone into Emergency Download mode. I get right up to the stage where I've selected the COM port range and set the DLL and European open firmware in LGDP2_V36_UMTS, but when I connect the phone it just boots up as usual.
How can I put it into Emergency Download mode so it accepts the older firmware?
Would really appreciate the help, not being able to set up MMS or proper APNs is driving me crazy. I cannot use the LG Network Setup app as I get the common "LG ADC feature was been disabled" error.
Many thanks for all your help, I really appreciate it.
Paul
Model: LG-E900
OS Version: 7.0.7392.0
Firmware version: 1.0.7.10
Have you done these steps?
4. The phone call # # 634 # (# # # MFG)
5. MFG application appears, the password is 277634 # * # (* # # APPMFG)
6. Go to Menu then 7.Engineering 3.Port 1.USB Switching Setting then select 2.QC Composite, change the driver for the USB, reboot the phone
Mine wasn't working either till I did that. Then emergency download mode was no problem.
Answered my own question - the software would not access the phone using Windows 7 (64 bit) but worked absolutely fine on the girlfriend's WinXP netbook.
I now have beautifully unlocked European firmware.
Now, roll on Mango
As for Emergency Download Mode, that caught me out. The keys to hold down are:
Vol *down*, Camera and Power.
The instructions imply VOL+ (i.e. Vol Up). Not!
i tried it is vol down/cam/power .
im also trying to put this phone in emergency mode but still no luck! i press vol down then camera and then power on but the phone boots normally!
what am i doing wrong?
i have to do vol down camera and power on and then put the usb cable?
how many seconds do i have to hold them?
the phone always boots normally its driving me crazy!!!!!!!!!!!
thanks a lot in advance for the help!
I press only 2 buttons: Volume down+Cam and then insert USB cable and I have Emergency/Download mode

Hello masterminds.
I was going to do a factory reset by holding down the down volume button + camera button + power button. But i failed to do so a couple of times and now phone wont boot at all.
What happens when i turn it on it only stays at the Samsung Omnia 7 screen. I am able to get to the format screen and do a format, but the phone still wont boot.
Someone please help
Flash the Omnia 7 new.
You're ROM is damaged and you must flash your Phone.
When you can tried to go to Download Mode, then look at the buttom.
When you failed to go to Download Mode, so you need a USB-Jig.
Accessing Download Mode:
Turn on the phone, holding down the Power + Volume UP + Camera buttons simultaneously, when the Phone turns on, release the Power button.
Here a Tutorial to flash a Samsung Omnia 7:

Ok, so i bought new L7 II yesterday - I have experience with Android phones, so this is nothing new. And I set up phone, just as I want, rooted it! And then, I thought that it would be nice to have CWM. Of course, I was lazy, so i just googled for tutorial. And I found up a site on portuguese ( which is not language that I know ), so I tried to install without translation...yes I know, stupid! So, downloaded everything, connected phone, and there was emmc.bat - runned it, phone restared and that was that. Now it just rebots...it starts with LG logo, holds up for 3-4 sec and again restart. I tried to get in emergency mode - Vol down + Power btn - no luck. One interesting thing happends: when I hold these buttons, or any other combination, LED buttons in bottom of phone, just blinks...
Please, help!

I just tried as you wrote: Vol Down + Power key + Hot key ( I was not sure which Hot key did you think, since LED Button was circled on image that you linked; I tried both central button and LED button ) and no luck;
after LG logo dissapears, i release buttons and phone just continues with reboot sequence.

I've managed to reset my L7 P700 but since i don't have L7 II i can't help you.My advice is to try again with more atention the combination of butons.
Cheers.
Try vol.up + hot key + power... It worked on my p700 in same situation.
Sent from my LG-P700 using xda app-developers app
Somehow I managed to enter emergency mode, with combination: usb kable, vol down, pwr button. Now I'm waiting for firmware to download, and soon (I hope) I'll be posting form my LG.
Success. Problem solved. Auto-update from LG Tool fixed everything while phone was in emergency mode.
