I am able to run GTAIII on my X8 smoothly with little lag (lags a bit when driving a car)
I was using:
GTA III settings (found it in XDA, forgot where.. Search for it)
Overclocked to 748mhz (highest for me with some reboots)
Was running on:
MiniCM7 2.18
nAa kernel 10
I don't know if it will run smoothly for others thought... Give it a try. And I also did not try it on 600mhz.
Was also running:
V6 Supercharger U9 RC5
Kick Ass Kernelizer (RC3?)
And on GTAIII settings set everything to lowest.
It's hard to type on phone...
Edit: I forgot... i was using 512mb swap (partition) i know its too much.. but hey!
And to nobodyAtall.. thanks for your awesome rom and kernel! Keep up the good work...

You're using GTA III with sound or without sound ?
Sorry for my bad english
hmmm. I'm using swap 256, OC 768, RAM Manager "hard gaming", Chainfire3d powervr plugin, GTA Settings (everything low), playing version 1.0 without sounds and it's still laggy on MiniCM 2.1.9 and NaA11 kernel

Well... glad to know everybody's hard work on these custom kernels and ROMs has really paid off. I guess its time to root and flash a ROM livingcode!
It does seem smoother than 15 FPS to me as well. I believe our high FPS counts in this are around that, but we dip enough in to the 10-15 FPS range to make the lower average come out.
Its great to see what our lil phones can do. They have really turned out to be much more powerful that I thought they would be with some tweaking.

In my opinion FuguMod Ultra is the best kernel for our G3
Only the mentioned problem () the wrong battery status that can be solved by re-calibrating the battery)
this kernel just rocks
The music problem!? I never experienced a problem when playing music
In my opinion is the battery life almoste as good as the on you get from other OC kernels in the range of OC to 1300 so with the right setCPU settings your battery last for almost 2-3 days with OC to 1300 and governer on ondemand

1.9Ghz? Hope you're kidding. Overclocking with too high Mhz can destroy your device (or it will drain battery).
Max. recommended clock: 1500Mhz (1,5Ghz)
Min. recommended clock: 1200Mhz (1,2Ghz)
I ran it at 1.9 for about 2 hours playing GTA with no problems but still a little laggy
Yes It can be possible my last stabile value is 1.7 - 1.8 but i run my play with 1.6
Gesendet von meinem R800i mit Tapatalk 2
For some people Ram manager helps, but it is a paid application. There might me other similar apps, though.
Lol. Then you can say goodbye to your play in 1-2 yrs. As i said, if you didnt want to **** up je device, use recommended clocks for gaming. Hope youll not be ignorant and read this post, lol.

Anyone can play smoothly Temple Run 2 at "Best Visual Quality"?
I' m with last cm10, custom kernel, overclocked to 1.0 Ghz, and it isn' t smooth.
If yes, tell me which rom do you use and your overclock configuration.
i was on miui ics and honestly it was not smooth at all...
now rolling back to miui gb will update u soon
I m on JellyBeanCannon.
It runs smooth on better settings but lags on best.
For me it runs completely smooth when the app has finally booted - boot up takes quite some time.
Settings are on middle setting.
My machine:
Defy (green)
latest CM7.2 nightly by maniac
governor boosted

Rein haun
Also smooth on latest wiui gb
@1200 mHz, although it should run fine with stock settings as well

Thekguy, how long is your battery lasting running on 1200mhz?
On topic: not smooth as well on miui v4.
Now it came to my thoughts, it may be the lookout security running here.
With full charge in the morning I have around 30 % left at night with some gaming + 3G + Wi-Fi.
Vsels are:
18-300
32-600
42-800
60-1200
On topic- I find performance to be lower on the older non 2ndboot cm10 or cm9 builds

runs smooth on canon v8.1.1 clocked @1.2GHz frequency is according to vsel calculator!
butter smooth on official cm7.2 @1Ghz with v6 supercharger script installed!
Latest CM7 by Maniac103 here. Runs smooth on "better", a bit stuttery on "best" but still playable.
Runs without any lag on my cm10. I prefer to play it on my defy than to my O3D.
my current score is 12.4 million without any hack, I love playing this game
Smooth on CM10 1.2 GHz with better graphics and latest game update. Playable with best graphics but lags.

perhaps some of the common jb bugs, though in my daily use i don't experience bugs, only 2 or 3 fc's when updating in playstore, but that's playstore or my undervolting (57/1100)
