Temple Run 2 smooth? - Defy Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Anyone can play smoothly Temple Run 2 at "Best Visual Quality"?
I' m with last cm10, custom kernel, overclocked to 1.0 Ghz, and it isn' t smooth.
If yes, tell me which rom do you use and your overclock configuration.

i was on miui ics and honestly it was not smooth at all...
now rolling back to miui gb will update u soon

I m on JellyBeanCannon.
It runs smooth on better settings but lags on best.

For me it runs completely smooth when the app has finally booted - boot up takes quite some time.
Settings are on middle setting.
My machine:

Also smooth on latest wiui gb
@1200 mHz, although it should run fine with stock settings as well

Very much smooth on jb canon rom.
From 4.1.2 jelly defy @1.1Ghz \m/

Not smooth on cm10 and wiui gb with visual quality set to best, very smooth when visual quality is set to better on both roms, the default value

Working fine on latest CM10 here!
Quality set to good. Haven't tried best

Try quality set to better, I'm using latest cm10 with sevenrock fixed [email protected] mHz, ksm and zram disabled. The game is absolutely smooth for me

Thekguy, how long is your battery lasting running on 1200mhz?
On topic: not smooth as well on miui v4.
Now it came to my thoughts, it may be the lookout security running here.

With full charge in the morning I have around 30 % left at night with some gaming + 3G + Wi-Fi.
Vsels are:
18-300
32-600
42-800
60-1200
On topic- I find performance to be lower on the older non 2ndboot cm10 or cm9 builds
Sent from my MB526 using xda premium

runs smooth on canon v8.1.1 clocked @1.2GHz frequency is according to vsel calculator!

butter smooth on official cm7.2 @1Ghz with v6 supercharger script installed!

Latest CM7 by Maniac103 here. Runs smooth on "better", a bit stuttery on "best" but still playable.

Runs without any lag on my cm10. I prefer to play it on my defy than to my O3D.
my current score is 12.4 million without any hack, I love playing this game

Smooth on CM10 1.2 GHz with better graphics and latest game update. Playable with best graphics but lags.

Well... glad to know everybody's hard work on these custom kernels and ROMs has really paid off. I guess its time to root and flash a ROM livingcode!
It does seem smoother than 15 FPS to me as well. I believe our high FPS counts in this are around that, but we dip enough in to the 10-15 FPS range to make the lower average come out.
Its great to see what our lil phones can do. They have really turned out to be much more powerful that I thought they would be with some tweaking.
could someone please post the apk file?

usually cm9 or cm9 kangs as my rom.
now the kernel is the tricky part. its almost always Trinity, but i can use 3 or 4(or more) different versions of trinity in a day. teuv is usually my while-im-at-work kernel, but i can be using t11, t132, or t144 at any given point in the day. sometimes all of them in a day. t144 is usually the kernel i like to use when im playing around. what i like about them is that they work as intended. they are all bare bone kernels(ics versions) therefore dont contain any mods that we've all gotten used to. but that also means that the trinity kernels dont contain any introduced bugs either(that many kernels wrestle with). i know ive not really explained anything, it is what it is

99.999% of the time trinity. theres that .001% when its not trinity.
oh, and i ran the stock/rooted ics rom for about 3 weeks, it was nice

I'm using kangs8 ics with eugene kernel speedy5. my favourite combo so far!
I'm using HAKA's KANGY v8 atm, pretty nice I have to say, occasional bug whilst flashing, but probably down to TWRP than anything.
I'm normally running Eugene's speedy kernel, fast, smooth and stable, the right balance of them all. Quite like the Matr1x as well.
I'm using Peter Alfonso's ICS with his stock kernel,no problems so far,the best ics rom out there !
Peter Alfonso is the way to go! to me he had the best GB rom and his ICS nightlies are nothing short
http://download.peteralfonso.com/
I'm using the latest CM9 kang + trinity t11 and it's smooth for me.
I'm using the Virtuous Quattro ICS RC2 ROM
Advanced Info shows kernel version as:
[email protected] #2
The only issue I have come across which is quite annoying is most videos are extremely laggy- this is irritating because its how I overcome my commute to and from work. For example the opening video sequence for Asphalt 6 HD is extremely laggy but the game plays flawlessly! I have a coupe of avi files on my device as well and they have the same problem. Sound is fine...
Apart from this everything so far functions flawlessly.
I've been using KANGY8 and SPEEDY5 up to now its been the smoothest with no reboots. Rom is butter smooth and that kernal is just crazy stable and fast. Best so far and I've flashed so many rom and kernal combinations.
I'm using AOSP+ rom with Steve Garon's kernel. I actually downclocked to 800Mhz and it gives me better battery life and it is smooth enough.

I tried the new cm9 with matrix 14.5 and it was not stable for me. Then I tried the new gummy nexus and that rebooted every time as well lol.
AKOP 19 with any kernel or cm9 rc0 with glados have been my best combos

Hi, currently my i9023 is installed with stock ICS (ROM and kernel) and frankly, I'm quite satisfied with the performance. The battery performance is, I think, comparable with that of the stock gingerbread.
But now I'm looking for custom kernel to make battery performance even better. Do you guys have any experience what is the most suitable kernel for stock ICS, especially in battery performance area? With so many options to choose for (matr1x, kangs, eugene, and the list goes on and on... ), sometimes it can get confusing ....

[Q] NOOKcolor LAGGY

My nook color is running cm7.2 the latest stable rom from cyanogenmod i recently find it that it is really really laggy is there anyway to improve thr graphics BTW the cpu is set to 1300mhz anything greater than that i get my graphics choppy and laggy. I know it is a product made in the 2010 so i dont expect much. Any reply would be appreciated. :cyclops::cyclops::cyclops:
Add on, playing games are also laggy. Im playing all the glu games BTW.
Have you tried taking your cpu back to 1100.. seems counter-intuitive, but sometimes a bit lower is better.

perhaps some of the common jb bugs, though in my daily use i don't experience bugs, only 2 or 3 fc's when updating in playstore, but that's playstore or my undervolting (57/1100)
other than that, to use your own words in development: "smooth and stable"
don't know about gaming though.
