[Q] Help my Galaxy Y randomly shut down

I am newbie in android: rooting, flashing rom, etc.
Few days ago I flashed my galaxy y with jellyblast v3, it looks fine, smooth, and sleek but after few days my device randomly restarted itself, mostly when I don't use it (idle state), and after restart there is CPU frills notification in the status bar: "unclean shutdown, value not applied".
Pls, any idea what happened with my device and how to repair it. Any suggestion would be appreciated.
NB: I know i should post this in Jellyblast v3 thread but I can't post there, so pls help me

Have u installed merruks kernel....???and do this-Turn on safety valve option in settings of no frills cpu.....and tell whether ur problem solved...

No, I am using kuro's kernel which is the default package of jellyblast.
Do you mean i need to check the disable sacety valve option or just leave it unchecked (default setting)

Reflash the rom.....better way

Leave it unchecked....and have u installed any tweaks...???
If yes than remove them.....
Or u can reflash ur rom ...

I am newbie in android, I haven't installed any tweaks other than if it includes in jellyblast v3 package. Maybe i just reflash my ROM, but if i do that will all the data wiped out (the application i installed)? because the instruction of flashing the ROM require me to wipe the data. Or is there a way to flash ROM without erasing my application, data, etc.

try titanium backup or Rom toolbar for backing up ur data . . . backup ur contacts on sd card . . . if u hv heard abt CMW , its better for backup bt then it will include that problematic feature again . so titanium & rom toolbox prefferable in ur case . .

Its not reqired to flash a new rom...
Just dont keep ur phn in low frequencies like 156mhz or 208...
Keep it at 312 or above and use smartassv2 ,ondemand,performance as governer....than u will not face this random reboot problem...

Packet data problem

try factory reset!

Because:
Maybe you have not set the right CSC or have flashed the wrong firmware for your country.
Or, Maybe your provider might have problems.

Try this
Settings>apps>all apps
There clear data of download manager, Google services framework and market updater and reboot
Try to use internet now... if it doesn't work still
Flash the right csc of ur area

when ever i restart my phone it automatically sends sms that costs rs1.20 i using evo rom please tell me how can i stop this

Flash the correct csc for your country via odin - see dokys thread at the top of dev section for a list of stock roms and csc

Its not just in evo....
I faced it in some of our great banned roms too
And also in stock once...
I lost 1.50 rs... Everytime...
This happens when the phone messages the server for apn settings again and again....
I dont have a 100% solution for this but
Apn reset might work
Settings->Wireless-mobile data settings-apn-menu key -reset ro defaults..

Wifi problem

Hi, is There any chance to install new modems without odin? I have a mac computer so I cant Flash via odin. I have tried heimdall and kies, none of them works because my Phone wont respond in the computer. Tried even With Googles file transfer.
The thing is that im a bit selective so I only found one rom that fits me, vision x II. Everything works perfect but i cant activate or use wifi. I really need my wifi cuz i have no signal at my Damn concrete apartment!

You can try do a FACTORY RESET:
- Make a Internal Memory backup
- From your home screen press the apps icon in the lower right corner.
- Find and press the settings icon.
- In the upper end of the screen press the accounts tab.
- In the bottom of the next screen press the Backup and reset button.
- Press the factory data reset.
- Read the info on your cell phone screen and hit Reset device.

I never connect my i9505 to damn computer , once only to root it first time
You can use "mobile Odin Pro" to flash full firmware , kernels , modems , recoveries and more. ..

If you flash any modem , make.sure it is compatible with the firmware version otherwise you will hard break you device!!.
One more thing ,,the moment you flash it ...your device will reboot to download mode , then in this point you have to hold the power button for few second till it turn off . After that turn it on , the Samsung logo will show up ....and it may take time untill it move to the mobile odin mode ,,,, just wait for the process...dont ever turn it off again otherwise you may soft break your device
Also mobile odin only work in stock kernel otherwise it will not detect your device . Thats why it won't run in custom rom that only run in its custom kernel like cm or what ever rom ... this is the disadvantage
But the advantage is that.. it will never trigger the flash counter .

No wifi and Bluetooth on note 3!

Hi guys..my sis note 3 recently got black screen. It wouldnt turn on or charge or anything. Sent it to repair and they were taking too much money. So I change the board myself. I managed to do it quite successfully cause it is working but am not having wifi or bluetooth. For the wifi..it sees my router and the strength..but when I try to connect it doesn't connect. And sometimes it tells me fail to obtain ip. Can anybody help me plz?

I guess you factory resetted the phone after the replacement, right? If you did, remove the WIFI connection completely once more and start from anew with entering password.

No I didnt factory reset. Should I? I did remove the wifi connection lots of time and put password again. But its not connecting. Maybe I should try the factory reset. Koz anyway there's nothing on the phone. It looks like new.

I did make a factory reset after u told me. But it doesnt work directly. But I figured a way to make it work. I assigned a static ip to the device. But with other devices it connects directly. I dont understand. Should I change the rom on the device? It has 4.4.2 on it.

Ok ill update the phone and let you guys know.
And I'll go with official rom koz it's my sis phone. I won't keep updating the rom everytime.

Hi guys. I've updated the note 3 and still it doesn't work. And btw when assigning static ip, it only connects to the router but I don't any connection from the Internet.
