Hi everyone, I just want to check to se eif its just me or if this is a generic WP7 or HD2 problem and for the record I am using B.T.T.F 8107
During my lunch break I regularly walk to the local shop and back which is just over a mile or so and to vary things I will take different routes so my walk will be between 20-30mins.
Being on the large side I decided to walk briskly and use sports tracking software and Zune playing FM radio. This was a while ago and I started with Endomondo, this worked fine up until around the 7440 update and for some reason I could no longer use the FM radio and Endomondo so I switched to listening to my radio station over the Internet and this was also fine.
Then I upgraded to the 8107 and Endomondo now 'pauses' when the screen locks, I have set the option to run under the lock screen and I have turned off the auto pause but no good.
Thinking this was a problem with Endomondo I uninstalled this and tried Marathon and this was the same so I ditched this and now have RunSat and this also does the same.
Too much for coincidence so out of curiosity does anyone else use sports tracking software on the HD2 and do they have similar problems?
Many thanks
OK just tried today without Zune running and its still the same.
RunStat showed 22mins but a distance of only 0.3 miles, does anyone have any ideas please?
I know you've already found this, so I'm just posting as a reference for others with the same problem: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=21103854#post21103854

hi all,
have just recently got tom tom up and running on my blackstone,
have a few questions as no doubt they can be resloved using applications and configurations in one way or another,
i will be using this feature on my motorbike as i cant stand driving cars
and due to this have encountered a few issues.
as i cant see the screen as the phone is in my pocket is there any way i can disable the backlight and lock the touch screen/ hard buttons and still have the tom tom software running?
i will have a head set on in my helmet so all i need is the voice directions from the software,
also, can i block all incoming calls?
i suppose i could just switch it to divert prior to getting on my bike.
last question,
when first installing the tom tom software i went outside the house to see if it worked while on foot, and the GPS reception was perfect...
i then went in installed some 3rd party route planning software on my PC to test routes and all of a sudden the gps signal is awful, it keeps dropping out. will only connect for a few seconds then drop again.
is there any thing i can do or install to improve gps performance?
I picked up my Audi A4 last week, and the MMI + telephone connection high works to a limited degree with the Touch HD.
It correctly identifies the Orange network, 3G, varying signal strengths, and can dial out and receive calls, but I don't have access to other functions such as the phone's last dialled calls, missed calls, phonebook/contacts list (biggest problem!), etc.
I'm using the original 1.14.405.3 (22273) WWE rom which came with the HD, but has anyone had any success with the MMI by using other roms?
Guess this does not help, but I had the same problem with a brand new mercedes C200 and Dutty's 2.8 firmware...
Cheers
[update]
maybe this thread helps a little: http://forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php/t-456900.html
some say it worked after upgrading to 1.19...
personally I think bluetooth has always been ****ty
Pretty interesting that a version of Duttys made it stop working, at least it shows bluetooth compatibility is affected by different roms. Thanks for the link, it seems the JetWare program might work too, but updating the rom is a last resort for me since I've never done it before. I'll try JetWare first, and if it stops working after a few days, I'll go for the rom update. Thanks again!
You'r welcome! I am on Duttys 3.0 right now but never had a car again with bluetooth so couldn't test
If you never flushed your HD - try! You will be massively excited I swear
Compared to the original firmware the phone was unusable slow and had a ugly user interface... I can really suggest Duttys 3.0! Once you are through the process of flashing it's quiet easy...
Cheers
Heh, maybe I'll go for the regular handset option for my next car, seems like it'd be less of a headache. Anyway I upgraded my HD to 1.19 and there was no change in displaying phonebook contacts, so I decided to flash Dutty's v3.3 and it still doesn't work properly...but I'm liking Dutty's a lot, definitely glad I upgraded to it. Thanks for suggesting it!
I'm back to square one again though, so if anyone else has some advice/experience with getting it to work, I'm all ears
Anyone at all?
Is the Audi new or used? If it is used you might have an older version of the MMI software. Good luck getting Audi to do the upgrade for you. Check out the forums at Audiworld.com.
I have an A6 and have the same problems.
Have you tried Jetware? I used that for awhile but I found I would rather use a headset now.
I use a Touch Pro with my 09 A4 and I have the same problem. Everything works great except when it comes to syncing the phone book. After pairing the phone with the car, a message pops up asking if I'd allow the car to access my contact. I'd answer yes, but then nothing happens.
For some unknown reason, I was able to upload the phonebook once. I don't know what I did differently that time but the phonebook mysteriously showed up in the car memory. However, the next time I started the car the phonebook was gone.
Hi everyone. My HD works fine on my 2006 Audi A8L. After initial pairing with the MMI (default pairing code is "1234") you have to wait a little while and the phone book and recent calls pop up. In the Phone > Setup of the MMI I selected only to use phone memory.
One issue I have is that the 150 contacts I have are somehow displayed in 2 iterations of the alphabet, each showing only a half the contact list.
Also good to know. Pairing with Audi's MMI is only possible the first 5 minutes after you turned the power to the car on, ie. turning the key one notch, or starting the engine, so be sure to have your Touch HDs bluetooth on already.
Audi's Bluetooth phone features are on a phone by phone basis, Audi have a list of all the handsets that they have tested and the features that are available using that phone and the firmware for the phone that it needs to produce those results.
I work for Audi so if there's any questions I'll do my best to answer. (I work in parts)
In the last 3 months I've installed almost every android build, SD, RAM, NAND…
I think about 60 of them, sometimes even a few per day...
On the weekend when I'm at home everything works fine.
Problems start when I go into my car:
1. GPS application freeze, sometimes after 1 minute, sometimes after 10, I tried "waze", "telmap", "IGO" and google navigation (different versions) all the same, freeze… this is why I think it is a GPS issue and not a specific application issue.
I thought It might be a radio issue, so I tried it with different radios.
I always use the recommended WM & radio versions.
2. Phone application FREEZE only when I'm using BT connection in my car. When I'm at home/work everything works great.
I was wondering if anyone got the same issue? Or someone can help?
Currently I'm using the great NAND version from DFT:
[Dec 30][NAND][DFT]LEO "Stock Desire" NAND Android ROM
RADIO 2.15.50.14
help please
I am in the exact situation as you. Gps will lock up the phone. No matter which app uses it.
snap. searching just now but not finding any solutions so far
same here
hey you all,
I have the exact same problem here. I have tried every possible rom there is but with the same result every time.
also I have tried several navigationprograms like copilot, navigon, sygic and google navigation.
gps seems to work just fine under winmo 6,5
searched the web like crazy, but there are very few with the same problem.
I'm thinking about forgetting android, witch is really a hard decision.
is there anyone that know a solution?
I'm having an issue using bluetooth with CM7 that may be difficult for most users to duplicate or even experience. This problem has persisted from the beginning of CM7 up through N37 including using Ladios' kernel and the latest radio update.
I'm a long distance motorcycle rider and use a a2dp bluetooth equipped helmet. This enables the full use of the Aria's telephone & music functions, from streaming music via BT to the helmet, to answering phone calls.
It's taken me awhile to realize it, but running with CM7, I'm experiencing a significant number of what I call bluetooth dropouts. This is very noticeable because I always stream music to the helmet when I'm riding. The bluetooth connection doesn't disconnect, the signal just seems to drop dead (go silent) for anywhere from a couple of seconds to as long as 15+seconds. This is something I could easily attribute to BT signal interference from power lines or RF interference, etc, if it wasn't for ONE thing;
I also have a second Aria running Gene Poole's Liberated Aria 2.2.2 and the same latest radio. With this phone and OS, the BT dropouts are non-existent.
Anyone have any suggestions? I'm really liking and well into being committed to CM7, but the BT dropouts are a real issue for me.
Edit: No, missing 10 or 15 seconds of music isn't a big deal, but when a phone call drops out for that long, it is.
.
try compare two roms /system/etc/*.csv

Thanks, I'll see what I can find.
I have what I suspect is the same issue. In my case, it's localized and predictable - if I take my usual bus to work, it doesn't happen until I get off the bus downtown. If I take a different bus, it happens at certain intersections. It also happens when I walk the dog in my neighborhood. Obviously, there is some sort of interference occurring at these locations, but I can't figure out what.
Did they ever fix the issue with everybody running cm7 having the same bt address?maybe you folks are running across other root users running cm7 and a Bluetooth device.try loading cm7 on your wife's phone see if it creates the same dropout.
Sent from my Liberty using XDA App
No its not from being around rooted phones mine does it in towns, city's, and out in the country, around people and no people, there is something causing interuption within the phone or program itself.
Hey all, relatively new 8 pro owner here. I just bought some powerbeats pro earbuds, and they work great except when I try to go biking. Basically as soon as I start moving my music starts stuttering. If I'm stopped or rolling slowly enough it seems to be ok, so I'm assuming one of the phone's sensors is causing some interference? I've already tried using a different media player and disabling location and mobile data while I'm riding, but that doesn't seem to help. I haven't enabled the footstep counter since I got the phone. I'm going to pair them with another phone later today to make sure it isn't the buds themselves. Any advice on what to try next? I'm still on stock 10.5.13IN11AA, FWIW.
/edit - Just tried disabling location services like wifi/bt scanning, location accuracy, etc. and it didn't seem to help.
