42.99 - $10 rebate (expires 12/31)= 32.99
Anybody taking the plunge? It's getting terrible reviews.

I'll pass. Class 10 is not ideal for phone use anyways. We read from our cards more than write and lower class cards have higher read speeds.
Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S2
I got one of them but patriot cards just never seem to be that great for me anyway tested speed about 15x around 9mbs write 22 read. I ended up returning it for a Samsung 32g class 10 boxing day sale at Frys for 35.99 faster right and read cheaper price. Also for people that like to shoot video in 1080p and not waste internal space, huge difference between class 4 and 10

What is the fastest 16gb card I can get?
I want something that'll play movies off the card without any stuttering.
Any suggestions?

My 16GB Nokia SDHC is playing videos with bitrate 2000+ & resolution 720x380 without any stutter.
I have almost 6GB full of videos only in my card.
I tried for a higher class card in 16GB, but not available in my place.
i am using kingston class 2 converted 1080p movies to 480X800 at highest qulity. no stutter whatsoever

He was specifically asking for the fastest card. Your card is the slowest. Class 2 is the slowest class you can get. It's not even sold anymore here in Japan. For the HD 2 I would recommend at least a class 6 card (6 MB/sec reading. The better ones are now rated as class 10.
SanDisk 16gb Class 2 exceed the speeds of asian branded class 6 cards such as Transcend and Adata etc.
I would get a Sandisk Class 2 16gb card over other higher class cards.
Only better one at the moment is 16gb Class 4 SanDisk which exceeds class 10 speeds.

Just because it is Class 2 does not mean it is the slowest!
The Sandisk Class 2 performs well above the majority of class 2 cards and even some class 6-8 cards.
The 2 only means it guarantees that speed.
I've seen some class 6 cards just reach 7mb/s, so this class 2 would run the spots off it. I've got a Sandisk 16gb Ultra Class 4, its quite fast but you need to consider the fact that the phone won't use it to its max potential, only 8mb/s limit i think
From what i hear the class definition only is a guarantee for write speeds.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secure_Digital#SD_Speed_Class_Ratings
"SD Cards and SDHC Cards have Speed Class Ratings defined by the SD Association. The SD Speed Class Ratings specify the following minimum write speeds based on "the best fragmented state where no memory unit is occupied":[8]"
I've got a Sandisk micro sdhc 16 Gg. It's only a class 2, but i should say that it is pretty fast and I never had any trouble with it. Fast and safe.
I find it better than the Transcend or Kingston SD I tried.
I hope we can soon have a micro sdhc 32 Gb

Thanks for the very helpful reply.
Did you get all of your 21 posts by helping people out with this sort of useful info?
Thanks to the folk who have actually posted useful stuff though...
I see the Sandisk Class 2 16gb one on Amazon and other sites for about £30 - which seems pretty good. I found another thread comparing speeds of cards, and it seems the HD2 can't write or read any faster than the equivalent of a class 2 anyway.
I think the Sandisk Class 2 will do for the moment - the 32gb ones are due out anytime soon... so theres no point in lashing out £60 for a high spec 16gb when a 32gb will be round the corner.

I will be selling my 16gb when a 32 comes out, got it quite cheap so I can't imagine I will really lose that much money on re-sell as there are not that many 16gb class 4's about.
16GB Going to buy with my christmas paycheck. Anyone know of any good deals for SD(HC) cards in the UK?

ouch..£52.99 is a bit steep to justify when a similar spec standard sd is less than half that price..I can't help wondering whether there's any real benefit from a card with this performance level that's detectable in normal use, after all,the ammount of data that will be required at any point in time surely wont exceed the displays capacity even while using a lower spec card? Yes the snapdragon can process huge ammounts of data quickly but it's still going to be limited ,by the ammount of it,it can show or am I talking round hairy things? I've seen a similar debate on a forum dedicated to sat navs but never found, myself, any difference between using cl2 or cl6 cards as far as speed in the processing and displaying of information upon a screen goes...anyone care to enlighten us?
I have been using Sandisk Class 2 16GB cards for a while now, 3 pcs on separate devices and I can say it is fast and safe. Fully compatible with the HD2. I also have a 16GB Kingston Class 6 and it is about 20% of the Sandisk speed when writing. Way too slow even though it's rated as Class 6. Go figure.
I read everywhere to get Class 6+, but I can't find any on Newegg that have decent reviews.
I want 32 gig but if I have to get 16gig to get class 6+ I will.
What does everyone else use or reccomend?
Sandisk cards always seem to be the best for me.

I got a Patriot class 10 32 GB card in the Xoom now - I have the one pgwipeout linked to in his post in my Droid X. Both are good. Only changed up because it was out of stock when i went to order another.
Here's the link to the Patriot:
http://www.amazon.com/Patriot-Signature-MicroSDHC-Memory-PSF32GMCSDHC10/dp/B004H8FTCU/ref=pd_cp_e_1
the patriot class 10 has horrid reviews on newegg. I want the Lexas 32gb class 10 but cant find it anywhere that takes paypal except ebay and they are all in honk kong
I've not had any trouble with mine - yet.

Exactly. and if "speed" is a problem buy (2) 16 GB ones and walk away when the other one is loading.
Lexar class 10 32 GB works great.
(edit: nevermind, found answer)
But it`s possible to use this card in the xoom?
I'm using a A-Data 16gb Class6 card and it works great.
I've got a Wintec Class 10 - 32Gb... I bought it from newegg about a month ago... About $82 + shipping... It's been running great...
Hth,
John
Just found this and wanted to share. It is currently backorderd but letting you still order them. They are an Authorized SanDisk seller. It is a 32GB Class 6 up to 30mbps $30 with free shipping.

I would recommend buying sooner rather then later..... If you like this please hit the "Thanks" button.
Got a class 10 for $40. Thanks though.

Just found that the average write speed is at 8mbps on up and it has 3 times fast read speed then the typical Class 4 SanDisk microSD, and 2x faster with writing then Sandisk Class 4... just some additional info I found and wanted to share..
Says it's shock proof, magnet proof, and water proof. Never heard of the site before but it's http://laalo.com/ Condition says new open box.

Laalo has sold out of them now, it's a pity because I was thinking of buying one.
$15 seems to be the going rate for 16gb class 10 microsdhc cards. With the 15% in-store Staples coupon, you can get a PNY for under $13 right now...
If someone really wants a Samsung SD card here is a replacement link, though it is slightly more expensive.
Probably wouldn't go for this. I would call $.50 per gigabyte or less a deal on microSD cards.
I thought it was nice for a class 10 Samsung not a class 4 no name. It sold out pretty quick though lol

Looking at upgrading to the M from my D2...and have the following Class 4 card inside:
SanDisk 8GB MicroSDHC Card (SDSDQ 008G A11M)
It seems like we have multiple reports of the RAZR M taking 64GB cards and working fine, like this one:
SanDisk Ultra 64 GB MicroSDXC Class 10 UHS-1 Memory Card with Adapter (SDSDQU-064G-AFFP-A)
I'm thinking I probably want to upgrade to at least a 16GB, maybe a 32 as I am a little worried about the usable space on the M.
Will I notice a significant difference moving from my Class 4 to a Class 6/10?
Is the M actually utilizing the Class 10 speeds? It seems that it is hard to even find a 32+ card in class 6, most come in class 10. But if I stay down at 16GB, I can get a class 6 and save some $$.
I guess, basically, I want to know that if I am happy with just the 8GB of space, is it really worth upgrading to a 6/10 card - and if so, will 10 actually realize any potential over a 6?
I'm using a class 4 32gb and it does fine for only $24 at Walmart

Thanks...I'm sure that if you had nothing to compare it to a class 4 would seem to work fine.
What I'm more interested in is what the phone can actually support in terms of r/w speeds.
If it won't get any benefit of anything beyond a 4 - then you were smart to only spend $24 for a 32GB. But, for one looking to maximize performance, I'd prefer to put a 6 or 10 in. But...I don't want to spend the extra money if for nothing.

i think it really depends on what you are doing with the card, but unless the m is the last phone u will ever own then just get the fastest you can so you wont have to worry about upgrading if you need the speed
I have a SanDisk Ultra Extreme class 10 32GB, and, with the exception of large file transfers, I don't notice much of a difference. I got it got about $20 USD on FleaBay, so decided it was worth the extra five bucks from a normal card.
