Hello. So I'm looking to bump up my 8GB card in my Evo to a 16/32 GB micro sd card. I looked around on the forums and the threads I found were dated. Any suggestions as to where and at a good price? Also I live in the US. The 8GB just isn't cutting it anymore for my rooting needs.
Thanks.
I can tell you which one not to buy:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820211378
lasted all of like 7 months before it took a shat
lol
Thanks. Did you buy one from someone else? I don't gave any experience dealing with memory cards.

I found a 16 on sale at Radio Shack for 34.99. Yes you can find one cheaper online but RS is safe and I saw what I was buying before I paid for it.
You have been EVOfied.
Newegg.com and search for patriot class 10 and pick the 16 or 32
I bought a san disk 16g class 4 for $25 shipped thru amazon.com. very happy as my stock card was an 8g cls 4 san disk.
How'd you get a class 4 as stock? Mine wasn't as polite, was a class 2... (definitely need to upgrade that eventually, nandroids are wiping out what little space I have)
This was $35 a week or two ago. I think it's still $35 at amazon.

Great value compared to the 32gb.
I searched google and got the Lexar 32Gig class 10 for $88,
Works great!!!
That's a good price, who from?
If you have a micro center near you then you can pick up their store brand that 16gb for 25. It's labeled class 2 but all 4 of the cards I bought do 6 write and 13 read.
I made a thread recently for this in the ACCESSORIES section - take a look - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=943469

I got those too, but I only get 4 write and 11 read. Still great store branded cards.
whats up everyone. I just updated my card to a patriot 32g class 10 ($90) and these are the results i got read-18mb/write-11mb
I just purchased a Kingmax 16gb class 10 from Amazon for $35 and it seems to work well with 18mb read and 11mb writes.

I got the same card also, but I questioned the performance of mine. Its testing the same as my 16gb class2 no matter which read-ahead value I set.
What kind of speeds are you seeing with yours? I wonder if I should RMA mine.
Linky for the Kingmax 16gb class 10 card I have, but the price is now $49. Either it changed or I remembered it wrong.

Please post which you end up going with and how you like it. I am also going to be looking for a new card for my phone in the next month or so and am interested in which you choose.
I read everywhere to get Class 6+, but I can't find any on Newegg that have decent reviews.
I want 32 gig but if I have to get 16gig to get class 6+ I will.
What does everyone else use or reccomend?
Sandisk cards always seem to be the best for me.

I have had class 2 sandisk cards benchmark at 6 and above.
Class 10 32 Gig Lexar

I got the 32 gb on Amazon for 65 works perfect

Id recommend any class 10 over specific brands, newegg had em cheaper than $90 iirc.

I got a Patriot class 10 32 GB card in the Xoom now - I have the one pgwipeout linked to in his post in my Droid X. Both are good. Only changed up because it was out of stock when i went to order another.
Here's the link to the Patriot:
http://www.amazon.com/Patriot-Signature-MicroSDHC-Memory-PSF32GMCSDHC10/dp/B004H8FTCU/ref=pd_cp_e_1
the patriot class 10 has horrid reviews on newegg. I want the Lexas 32gb class 10 but cant find it anywhere that takes paypal except ebay and they are all in honk kong
I've not had any trouble with mine - yet.

Exactly. and if "speed" is a problem buy (2) 16 GB ones and walk away when the other one is loading.
Lexar class 10 32 GB works great.
(edit: nevermind, found answer)
But it`s possible to use this card in the xoom?
I'm using a A-Data 16gb Class6 card and it works great.
I've got a Wintec Class 10 - 32Gb... I bought it from newegg about a month ago... About $82 + shipping... It's been running great...

Anybody taking the plunge? It's getting terrible reviews.

I'll pass. Class 10 is not ideal for phone use anyways. We read from our cards more than write and lower class cards have higher read speeds.
Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S2
I got one of them but patriot cards just never seem to be that great for me anyway tested speed about 15x around 9mbs write 22 read. I ended up returning it for a Samsung 32g class 10 boxing day sale at Frys for 35.99 faster right and read cheaper price. Also for people that like to shoot video in 1080p and not waste internal space, huge difference between class 4 and 10

What's this?
Looking at upgrading to the M from my D2...and have the following Class 4 card inside:
SanDisk 8GB MicroSDHC Card (SDSDQ 008G A11M)
It seems like we have multiple reports of the RAZR M taking 64GB cards and working fine, like this one:
SanDisk Ultra 64 GB MicroSDXC Class 10 UHS-1 Memory Card with Adapter (SDSDQU-064G-AFFP-A)
I'm thinking I probably want to upgrade to at least a 16GB, maybe a 32 as I am a little worried about the usable space on the M.
Will I notice a significant difference moving from my Class 4 to a Class 6/10?
Is the M actually utilizing the Class 10 speeds? It seems that it is hard to even find a 32+ card in class 6, most come in class 10. But if I stay down at 16GB, I can get a class 6 and save some $$.
I guess, basically, I want to know that if I am happy with just the 8GB of space, is it really worth upgrading to a 6/10 card - and if so, will 10 actually realize any potential over a 6?
I'm using a class 4 32gb and it does fine for only $24 at Walmart

Thanks...I'm sure that if you had nothing to compare it to a class 4 would seem to work fine.
What I'm more interested in is what the phone can actually support in terms of r/w speeds.
If it won't get any benefit of anything beyond a 4 - then you were smart to only spend $24 for a 32GB. But, for one looking to maximize performance, I'd prefer to put a 6 or 10 in. But...I don't want to spend the extra money if for nothing.

i think it really depends on what you are doing with the card, but unless the m is the last phone u will ever own then just get the fastest you can so you wont have to worry about upgrading if you need the speed
I have a SanDisk Ultra Extreme class 10 32GB, and, with the exception of large file transfers, I don't notice much of a difference. I got it got about $20 USD on FleaBay, so decided it was worth the extra five bucks from a normal card.

If anyone is searching for cheap and good SD-Card Amazon has it for 24.99$ it came out 27$ with taxes for me.
Being delivered today.
I don't think we will see such good deal for a while until 128gb cards go down in price.
No link or size of card?

and is the pro comparable to the Extreme Sandisk ?
For those interested Amazon has the Samsung 64GB PRO Class 10 Micro SDXC up to 90MB/s with Adapter (MB-MG64DA/AM) for $34.99 for the next 23 hours.
It's the pro version but it's only $10 more than the EVO right now.
Sorry my original link went to a regular SD card.
For $5 more you can get the U3 version

Just as a slight update. On my normal Note 4, my 64 GB Sandisk wouldn't work. My 32 GB sandisk would. I ordered the Samsung 64 GB card and it does work in my N4DE.

? They've gone on sale plenty of times for 70-80. Which off the suggested retail is about the same as the 64gb cards in terms of %. Will be a lot easier after best buy stocks these in brick and mortar stores to get one super cheap.
Edit: meaning even cheaper in terms of rewards and whatnot
Is there a good App which can tell you what Class of SD Card you have installed? And, compare it to benchmarks of others? I'm curious how mine stacks up. I've been running a 64gb SanDisk for almost two years. It's really stable. Wondering how it stacks up to others though. I'm not sure of the Class.
