Change the Default Lock Screen for Kindle Fire? - Kindle Fire General

I am trying to change the default Kindle Fire lockscreen to a different one(preferably ICS Lock Screen).
I tried GoLocker, Widget Locker and Magic Locker. But none of them work.
With GoLocker the Home, Back, Menu, and Search buttons are blocking me from seeing the whole lockscreen and there seems to be no way to disable them.
When I tried Widget Locker the lockscreen itself only took up 1/4 of the screen.
Magic Locker was just a failure.
So is there a way to do this successfully?
Thanks.

Nobody knows how to fix this?

Prehaps you might look in a thread about that topic already started?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1351868&highlight=Lock+Screen

Yes I have fully read that thread but it still does not answer my question or fix my problem.

So you create a new thread about the same topic rather than just adding your question to the already started thread?

Hello, im obviously very new to this forum but i have used quite a few times in search for my problems. I found to fix the Widget Locker's default 1/4 screen fill, just long-press and delete that slider, then re-add it. once re-added it will fill the screen. The only problem i have is it likes to occasionally force close on me

A few android question

Hi,
I've been with WinMo since 2001 until about a week ago when I switched to andriod. I have many questions and was unsure where to turn to. I will try here. If there is a better place, please let me know.
I have a Desire Z that I got with ATT 3G bands. I have successfully rooted the device, overclocked it, and installed Cyanogen 6.
1) When I hit the power button, I still have to swipe my finger across the screen to unlock. How do I make it so I don't have to do this?
2) I had some difficulty upgrading to Cyanogen 6 and was unable to get 7 to work. IfI want to mess around further with roms, is there some way I can backup EVERYTHING so if I screw up, I can make my phone exactly the way I have it now without a whole lot of work re-installing stuff, etc.?
3) The link to the phone, app, and browser are all stuck on the bottom of the phone. Can I get rid of this?
4) When laying apps out on the home screen, there seems to be some kind of grid that they are locked into that makes it hard to move them exactly where I want them. It will let me lay them so they overlap each other, but not very close to each other. Is there some way to overcome this?
5) I can't seem to arrange apps close to the top of the screen because the garbage can overlay slides down and when I move the app near the top it thinks I am trying to throw it away.
6) Is there an app that will show both the current weather and an icon for the weather conditions in the status bar?
Wow, a lot of questions...
1, Go to Settings->CyanogenMod Settings->Input Settings and select Trackball wake/Trackball Unlock or Menu Unlock and after that you will be able to select Disable Unlock Slider
2, Try Titanium Backup (https://market.android.com/details?id=com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup)
3, As far as I know CM6 uses ADW.Launcher as default launcher. You can change it to LauncherPro (https://market.android.com/details?id=com.fede.launcher) which is fully customisable
4, There is a grid which can't be changed
5, LauncherPro has the trash icon at the bottom
6, Sorry, I didn't find any

Hello Everyone.
I went and found some of these answers on my own. I also was able to upgrade to CM7.
1) I found an app for it but will try PsHeger's solution.
2) I found that the bootloader/Rom manager do a good job of this, too.
3) I was able to remove it in the app launcher rather than using pro.
4) This absolutely pisses me off. I have a Winmo 6.5 phone that lets me have a nice, organized home screen. I can't believe there isn't a better solution to this. Good lord.
6) Go Weather App does this.
if you set your grid settings to 10x10 rows and columns in launcher pro, you can put the icons and widgets pretty much anywhere.

You can try this, but you will need to buy a pro key for laincherpro to strech the widgets or they will look really stuid

I found that the auto stretch check box pretty much solved the problem with layout.

Customize lockscreens?

I was curious if there was anyway to use a lockscreen other than the ones provided with CM7 (which is what I'm currently using). And where would I go about finding them?

There are but first learn to post in the general area if you have a question.
There is widget locker in the market as well as extracting the framework-res.apk and chamging lockscreen images and make a flashable zip.
Signatures are fancy.
Check out the WidgetLocker app. Its really awesome and well worth the price. When you buy it you will then be able to customize it and make the lockscreen change with themes other have made.
Heres a thread with some of the widgetlocker themes people are creating

Ill give it a look. Thanks for the quick reply.

Whenever I used widgetlocker, my cm7 lockscreen and the widgetlocker lockscreen would always interfere with each other...how did you get around that?
works ok for me, running CM7(RC2)
agree with others, Widget Locker is the best... and only $2

Thats why I stopped using it. Would get a hesitation using widget locker as it doesnt actually replace the stock lockscreen. It just seems to overlay it. What it appeared to be to me was that widget locker, being an app, had to load. So if it dropped out of Memory the phone had to reload it and it caused this stutter/hesitation between it and the actual lockscreen. Not that big a deal, but it gave the appearance that the phone was glitchy which I didnt like (i do everything i can to make the phone super smooth, no sense in installing an app that counters that, no matter how slight).
Now I just go with no sliders and use a gesture to unlock the phone and have another gesture to toggle sound. Super clean and confusing to whoever picks up the phone trying to be sneaky.

[Q] Fake "Broken" lockscreen?

Now that I finally got my G1 to work, I want it to be "broken".
I would like to have a bootup lock screen that looks like the phone still is not functioning. Something like a force close alert or a black screen that requires a code.
I tried app locker 2 and put it on the launcher but it seemed erratic and I could access the dialer and messaging on first boot so that wont work.
Any ideas?
Nobody has any ideas? I would think there would be an app that would work but looking through the market I am not finding anything. It appears that lockscreens are cooked into the rom?

Lock screen complaint

I have a rooted kindle, I installed the market, I'm using golauncher ex, I downloaded a live wallpaper and it works great, but when I lock the device and then unlock it, it sets the lock screen wallpaper as the main screen wallpaper, its really annoying, is there any way to change this without going to a different custom Rom? I like having the option to switch back and forth from the default to something different mainly for the Play Market. And the books from the default. Quiet the delema.

Answered my own question, really sorry.

Is it possible to "show grid" with WidgetLocker application?

I am attempting to make my lock screen appear like the image posted below. This screenshot is actually of the home screen, not the lock screen.
The only lock-screen app I could find that allows widget overlap is "WidgetLocker". If there are others I could play around with, please let me know.
My current strategy is to add both "Dash Clock" and "Circle Battery Widget" to the WidgetLocker (WL) lock screen and attempting to align them via overlap. Unfortunately, it looks like WL only allows overlap via resizing - not by placing one widget on top of another. I think it is still possible, with enough tinkering, but it won't be easy.
One thing that might make this easier would be if I could see the grid when moving widgets on the lock screen. The settings for this app are pretty extensive and I can't find the option if it's there.
Any suggestions that might help me reproduce this lock screen are welcome. Thanks in advance!
EDIT: I guess I don't have the privileges to add an image yet. If you're curious, head to bitly slash 19muwsg

They look similar but are two different questions. Sorry about that, should've been more careful with my wording.
