NEO and CM7

hi there
so i am new to the NEO and arc (kind of come together) i come from the x10mini forums and have my x10mini thanks to NobodyAtAll i have a device running with gingerbread 2.3.5 with OC, recovery, mutiboot, and fully working camera and wifi.
i am trying to get things straight in my head so am i right that at the moment we cant get CM7 roms becauce we dont have a recovery, and we dont have a recovery becauce of ???? kernel or bootloader????
just interested becauce i miss alot of CM settings and because i love my NEO

CM7 is coming for the Neo, they're working on it. We already have a FreeXperia build, which is about the same as CM. We do have a recovery, we have kernels we can switch and the bootloader can be opened, so that isn't the problem. FreeXperia works fine, the only thing that doesn't work is the camera, and it doesn't look like the camera will be working anytime soon.

and is the hardware the same in the neo as in the arc except for the bigger display?? does it mean that i can use the arc roms or kernels for the neo?

The hardware is mostly the same, but you can not use the same ROM's or kernels. The Neo for example has a front-facing camera etc. Arc ROM's on the Neo will not work correctly.
Most dev's are happy to release a Neo version though, they only have to make few adjustments anyway.

Hey Just a thought.......
but, can nebody develope 1.6 stock rom to the current rom...
mean a 1.6 rom featured with all 2.3 features.., xloud, bravia, fps uncap,etc..
i want to have a rom with the sony x10 royal 1.6 look and featuring as well as haveing all capacity of 2.3.4......
Can ne one do that..?????

take a look to the custom roms that you'll find into xda forum, I think that there are some roms that preserve the sony ericsson features as you ask..

hi i am joseph and i am new here i want to ask some thing i see all custom rom not realy full compatable with xperia x8 and the best rom or farmwark for now it`s the orginal farmwark 2.1 !

well even custom roms hav reached a certain level of stability,froyo roms are gud wen its abt stability and daily use
hated wen i was on stock 2.1

i don`t no all of them have some stick some time i don` no what is the best and realy stalble for use if the rom not stable for use why i flash my phone for it we want some thing practical and fun

i dont really get it what u are trying to say here...

i guess 2.1 eclair is best for u

hehehehe no i hate 2.1 but i ask if there custom stable rom for use

froyo rom are food enough. try froyopro or froyobread

Wildfire and xperia ROM

Hi,
Is there a way to put a ROM of xperia neoV into a wildfire phone ? I kinda liked that ROM and I would like to have it on my phone.

Not without a ton of work.
The first problem your would encounter would be the resolution. The Neo V has a resolution of 480 x 854 while the Wildfire has a 240x320 screen.

I think it's possible port SE X8 Rom for wildfire,I think... SE X8 and our Wildfire have same display resolution

Not really, the X8 has a 320x480 resolution.
If you really want an Xperia ROM, look at the X10 Mini, as that one has a 240x320 resolution.
Also, list of all Android devices with a 240x320 screen.

i've tried that launcher a few days ago, it works well on wildfire

Hi, I´m trying to port rom from X10 mini ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1504633 ) but I´m not very experienced. I´ve choosed CM 7.2 RC1 as a base. The rom boots, but short time after boot it freeze and reboot.
Any idea how to fix it?

try to make a logcat and see what causes reboots

Hi,
Firstly congrats on your success boot.
I am also porting a ROM from samsung/huwaei devices(of same resolution ofcourse). but i cannot even boot the rom. It stays at htc splash screen for hours.
Can you please let me know what guide you have followed to make it boot.

Oh, I think that porting is probably still too difficult for me But I´m teachable and I will keep trying , there is a lot of work - see logcat.
Every help will be welcome
