Hi
Just installed [ROM WWE 21/3/10] NEW CleanEx HQ 1.05 + Others [WM6.5][1.72/2.10][2.5.2012]
but the 1.20 version.
Before I installed I had the HTC original 1.66 ROM
_HTC HD2_RUU_Leo_HTC_SVE_1.66.413.2_Radio_Signed_15.30.50.07U_2.06.51.07_Ship
So the ROM I was using before installing CleanEX was 2.06.51.07.
But that shouldn't be a problem:
Radio Requirements (CleanEX):
As this rom is entirely based off 1.72, you can install any radio you want. I recommend the 2.09 versions
After the install and before the configs my phone HANGS, at startup (HTC logo). I cant reinstall any new ROM either.
WHAT SHOULD I DO??? PLEASE HELP !!!
Ypu can install any ROM.
Boot in bootloader (phone off - press volume down a and power), on tricolor screen is Serial, connect to PC (appears USB) and flash any ROM....
take the battery out..
hold vol- and power on.. should be able to enter boot loader mode..
plug in your computer..
then when u see USB at the buttom.. u should be able to flash ..

calm down, please try to explain what you did and what you had done before you flashed - ex. did you have hard-spl? did you flash via SD-card etc.
THANKS
I held down vol. + power and it worked as you said -pew-
Thanks ALOT!
You just saved my day =)
Thank You!!!
on switching on, it just vibrates, comes up "HTC" (no info at bottom left) and nothing more.
I installed MAGLDR 1.1
I think HSPL *may* have been an older version- 1.42 only noticed that as I was flashing. Didnt realise the newer version was essential. Is it?
Put your phone in bootloader mode(pull battery, insert battery, volume down+power on) and flash the LATEST stock ROM.
This should keep HardSPL but remove MAGLDR.
After flashing the stock ROM, update to latest HardSPL.
Reinstall MAGLDR V1.11 from thread.
Try to install Android again.

Ahh thats great! was my fault for pressing the power button before the vol down key I had tried a number of times, but all working now! Thanks guys!
had this too but hspl3 flashing was enough. no need to uninstall magldr.
and remember if you get it on it's not bricked
I wish people would stop using the phrase "bricked" so loosely.
Your phone isn't and wasn't "bricked".
Still if that would have not fixed ,A task 29 usually fixed bad flashes, try that .
I rarely see a HD2 bricked,Lets not use the phrase so loosely.

No need to remove MAGLDR or flash a stock ROM.
All he needs to do is flash HSPL2.08 and MAGLDR will then continue to boot - I found this out myself.
I have looked all around this forum, google, and youtube. my phone is running on cyanogen 6.1 via nand. I would like to go back to winmo so i can send it back to t mobile because the vibration stopped working. Tutorials, DL links will help.
From the Flashing NAND roms tutorial (link in my signature)
5. UNINSTALLING MAGLDR AND NAND ANDROID (FLASHING WINMO BACK TO NAND)
To uninstall Magldr and any Android Rom that you installed to NAND, do the following:
1. Download a Stock Rom from *HERE* or a Custom Rom from the HD2 Rom Development Forum (for LEO512 ONLY, LEO1024 users will have to use a TMOUS compatable Stock or Custom Rom that is LEO1024 compatable).
2. Enter Bootloader Mode by taking the battery out, then put it back in and hold down the 'Volume Down' button while briefly pressing the power button.
3. After the phone enters the Bootloader Screen, plug in the usb cable so it says usb at the bottom of the screen
4. Run the Stock Roms .exe file (or run the customruu.exe file of the Custom Rom you want to flash)
* This will flash a Stock Rom and Radio while keeping your HardSPL untouched *

i think i love you
Yea but that will not remove the HSPL. If you have the latest HSPL you need to open it back up after you load the stock rom and then install the one that is 2.08.0000 at the end of it. Now they will have no Idea. As for the stock rom I just downloaded the one from T-mobile. (www.t-mobile.com/wmupgrade)
Then press the "Thanks" button for him to boost his meter.
i download the stock rom and then how do i do it? im usually an apple guy, im new to android.
If you are using a 512MB ROM HD2, just download the official firmware from HTC's website. The recommendation is to use a 1.xx or 2.xx ROM, do not use a 3.xx ROM.
Download 7-zip, make sure it is 9.20 version and up.
Using 7-zip, open the official ROM update exe file. Do not execute it.
Inside you will see RUU_signed.nbh, extract just that file. Nothing else.
rename RUU_signed.nbh, to leoimg.nbh
Copy leoimg.nbh into your SD card which is FAT16 or FAT32 formatted.
Unplug the battery from the HD2, count to 10, replace the battery.
Hold the VOLUME DOWN button, DO NOT LET GO.
Press the POWER BUTTON, then let go.
Follow the instructions on the screen when the device goes to RECOVERY mode.
Please note, this method will remove your HSPL and replace it with official SPL. It will also over-write your RADIO and ROM.
Everything will be as it is stated, a full factory recover.
I am trying todo this on my hd2, to get it back to "stock" wm6.5.
I am having some problems with this. I can get into the bootloader and from my pc initiate the flash. But then it just hangs at 0%.
Anyone got any ideas to what i can do to get it back to "stock" wm6.5 from Android?
Do you still have hspl installed? Are you using the orignal stock rom for your device? Try putting device into bootloader mode first and then connect to your pc, does usb appear on the phone screen when connected?
I can boot it into the bootloader.. I've got SPL 2.08 installed atm on it.
It does register USB when i plug it in.
When i then start the ROMUpdateUtility.exe from the extracted ROM, and follow the steps, the screen changes to the HTC flash screen, and stops. Nothing happens at all.
I have flashed it with MAGLDR 1.11 to get android on it. I run into the same issues if i want to try and upgrade it to 1.12. I cant remember my radio version.

If you're having problems running the flasher executable, try the method mentioned by LiFE1688 above.
I am trying that one out at the moment.
It boots into recovery, but just hangs at "Loading ...."
I have downloaded the 1.66 official rom, not trying the latest 3.04, since that was not recommended.

Do you have spl 2.08.0000 or 2.08.hspl installed? You need the latter one if you are flashing a rom which is not officially meant for your phone.
That did the trick. Thank you very much.

+1 Thank you!
I tried to reinstall it & my phone turned off. Now it won't reboot. I think it's broken now. Any suggestions?
You will also have to remove HSPL as it is a customized Special Program Loader. Just flash using the .nbh files and that should overwrite the HSPL with the stock SPL. If you use Customruu directly (without modifications) it will not replace the HSPL.
you have to make sure to use a 2gb sd card or less or else it wont work

I have HTC HD2 wich I want to rollback to Win mobile, I have androind on it wright now.
Dear all HD2 professional,
I got a problem with my HD2 after flashing with a MAGDLR113, it has successful message on my pc, but when my phone restart it always stuck on htc logo.
i search with many forum in xda and try, but still not luck.
My problem is it stuck with htc logo when phone is open. although I try to hard reset (hold vol down + up + power) or (hold down + power), and connect to PC, it do nothing, it still at htc logo.
Now, I don't know what I'm going to do next?
please anyone give me an advice to fix it?
thanks,
dane
You probably didn't set correct radio or spl,, magldr wont boot without 2.08.hspl AND radio 2.07.50 - 2.15.50,,,
Get them both right, magldr will start
thanks samsamuel,
But
Could you tell me how to set radio or spl... or give me a link to do that?
Because I was stuck on htc screen, I can't get out from it.
thanks again,
You already set the spl, that's how you flashed magldr.
Enter bootloader, connect USB, flash the radio, magldr will now start.
here,read this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=11097380
A few wrong / confusing / potentially dangerous (to tmous) steps listed in that thread. A good read with good links, but use it to help understand the process, not as a definitive guide.
(Example, it says if you have spl 3.03.0000 you should flash a stock rom to give spl 1.42.0000,,,,,, this step would brick a tmous,, when all you needed to do was use Hspl4 to set either 2.08.hspl,, or if the warning about not using Hspl4 scares you, use Hspl4 to set any spl, and then use hspl3 to set 2.08.hspl)
As with all threads, take the info on board, then confirm what you learned by reading other threads.
Many threads are slightly out of date, and so although the info is useful, its not always the easiest / best.
I think you need to root your phone. search on addictive tips.com, you will find step by step tutorial on how to root your phone and install android

Hello everybody
I'm having 2 problems on my HTC HD2.
One is that the image appears to me to say "Software Update Failed. Please try again." I bought it as well.
The other problem is that when I turn on the micro USB cable the screen image fades slowly, and so when shooting is that the cable will reappear.
I wanted to update the ROM of my HTC but I can not. Because the PC does not detect USB.
I have SPL - 3.03.0000
I wish someone could help me to resolve the situation.
Graciously
John Serra
hd2 !!
it happens with this device !!
just try to start over again by flashing the stock rom !!
u'll find many guides over here on xda !!
they're just a search away !!
good luck !!
Hello everyone
Ja could connect the usb. The problem now is that when I have to install a rom from HTC logo appears and then not give any more ...
Anyone can help me?
Hi,
Can you enter the bootloader (vol down and power)?
Did you install the Windows Mobile Device centre software?
If thats it you can download the ruu from the HTC site.
If that wont work for you you need to download a .nbh rom
and put it on the root of your sd card (you can use a card reader if your usb isnt working). I recommend you install
HSPL 2.08 on your device. Let me know.
I'll report everything I've tried to do my work PDA:
- At first I did a downgrade HSPL from 3:03 to 2:08
- Up to see installed MAGLDR could install Android, but nothing. I wanted to enter the BOOT MAGLDR instalat via USB and nothing
- I installed several roms to see if I could but nothing, the official rom, roms oil etc ...
I do not know what to do, but I'll try the scene. Nbh rom to see if I can do something.
I need opinions to solve my problem ....
I await urgent response
John Serra
Okay, If you want to just install android, I think its better to use CLK. If you are looking for good firmware than you might take a look at the MIUI roms and the TBD Sense roms. There is one thing important. Did you flash the Radio rom?
Flash this and see what happens
http://www.multiupload.nl/QP0IWGY42F
To use the newest clk here is a RUU. Install this and boot with the home button and power. You can install android from there.
