Try using the iPad User Agent in the Dolphin browser to get a Tablet browing experience which I think is better than the Desktop Agent. You will notice a big difference when searching from the Google home page. What do you think?
You totally right.

Are you serious ? Try youtube desktop and youtube ipad (not youtube mobile, the full youtube) And watch a video, tell me what do you think.

I can't imagine it will. I use the desktop agent all the time on my N1 and have never had a problem.
How do you do this?

What difference would it make with regards to browsing using the iPad User Agent?
Could you briefly explain how to browse using User Agent as well as advantages when using iPad User Agent to browse.
Thanks.

I am so used to iphone Safari browser that i simply hate both the internet explorer and the opera installed in my hd2.What other options to buy or download do i have?
What big thing is Opera Mobile lacking that you're used to in iPhone Safari?
I've used iPhone Safari, and I own an HD2 and use Opera Mobile, and as far as I can discern you're just fanboying.

well try m.opera.com from internet explorer, you can try skyfire it can handle any kind of java or flash but it's as smooth as opera get.skyfire.com
Hey...a couple browser issues:
1. Given my appreciation of Chrome I had reason to expect Froyo browser performance to live up to Google's 'fastest mobile browser ever claim'. I think its faster than 2.1 browser but not at all faster than Skyfire and other browsers in the Market. (Based on avg. time it takes to download certain sites).
2. Hey guys how can we experience the 'full glory of web pages if the browser uses mobile versions of sites?...Despite having desktop user chosen? Any tricks I need to be aware of?
thanks
Look up how skyfire works, that is why it renders pages faster, same with opera.
Yeah well Opera fir sure....much poorer rendering of pages....
Skyfire not so sure....those pages are as sharp as stock.
Opera. Mini and skyfire use outside servers to view the pages, tub rerender them for mobile. This is why nothing secure, I.e. banking should be done with them. Opera mobile, fennec, IE mobile, and Google (nexus one stock) browsers. Render within the phone. Not sure about steel though.

Good info...didn't know.
I believe on android skyfire, only uses servers for video, web is done on the same framework as the stock browser.

Type "about:debug" into the URL bar and hit "Go" on the keyboard [the arrow won't work]. Then go to settings > UAString [at the bottom] and change to Desktop. Unfortunately this isn't a permanent solution because it resets back to Android at the end of the session. For more convenient switching we're going to have to wait for CM6 and other Froyo based ROMs.
Why would you want to use a desktop version of a site if there is a mobile version available, thats STUPID
Probably because mobile versions are often lacking content.

This is the dumbest comment ever made on a forum... I salute you ftw on that.... not to be rude but seriously ...
Desktop is way better. I hate mobile versions.
STUPID....of Google to try and replicate mobile internet pages that render exactly like your deskstop. STUPID Google. Thanks....Ill settle for the mobile rendition.

This is true. SkyFire for Android only proxy's the Video content. They didn't take the time to build a full blown browser for Andoird. They bought the Steel Browser to work as the base of theirs and just changed it up for the video proxy.

I don't get your post
But it is stupid to want to use a desktop version of a site on a mobile device, thats like trying to use Win 7 on your nexus!
The claim wasn't about rendering speed but for javascript performance
Mobile versions if websites miss content.
The few I saw before changing to desktop didn't allow pinch and zoom either.
In fact they couldn't be resized at all.

And, I don't understand the speed complaint either.
The browser is amazingly fast.
The phone un general, absolutely rocks now.

Like what?
I get that mobile versions may be missing content, but that just means that the developers of those site need to do their job better
What I don't get is how having a website specifically designed for type of device you are using is a bad thing?
If you Disable flash The browser is much faster!

Hi to all! From a 3 months i'm a happy user of S8500. But one thing is very annoying, the lack of a good internet browser that supports multi touch + flash /why not, iPhone got it from Mozzila/ + uses the full screen /not like the Dolphin in Bada 1.2/
Do someone know such miracle exist?
There are not 1 but 2 such miracles. Names are - Opera Mini 5.1 and UCWeb 7.4.5

Can we not have a port of Mozilla's fennec browser??

I think the only devs who have the skills and the possibilities to port fennec are the devs of Mozilla. As far as I know there are only two OS that can use Mozillas's Fennec browser at the moment. Android and Maemo/Meego.

I think everyone knows you can get Netflix, Hulu, Amazon on Xoom using the PlayOn app but here's another way to get Netflix.

Wow! what a waste of server space. remote to a desktop computer and watch a choppy video.
Yeah, this was silly. Not sure I'd say that this means "netflix works on xoom."
Not a great working setup.. I tried this in the past.. not happy with it
What a joke. We need to define what "working ON the Xoom" means. it means the stream is being sent and decoded on the Xoom, which means not PlayOn, not Remote Desktop. Seriously RDP? Well then by that logic Office, Photoshop, and Visual studio "work" on the Xoom.

I actually use Office, Photoshop, and Visual Studios on my Xoom and it works pretty well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vy3tNshAlY8
Not that I am defending RDP streaming video, if your going RDP you might as well use PlayOn. Although Slingbox is my preferred method of viewing videos, just need to invest is some pricey hardware. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJEQIfZttus
Why can't Xoom partner with Netflix like iDevice, PS3, Wii, etc wouldn't that make life easier for user?
Does anyone know if Amazon will be offering video streaming to android devices like the xoom?

Does anyone here know of an app that is similar to the playbook's bridge app?
So that one could pair their Android based phone to there honeycomb tablet and bridge sms / calls / internet / notifications?
I've seen WebOS's previews and they seem excellent.
I've seen Blackberry's Playbook and the Bridge features.
Will Google respond with there own?
Thanks!
Nope. This doesn't exist. Especially down to the level that RIM and WebOS does it.
I sure hope so, the HP stuff looks amazing! I'm hoping ice cream will give us that, they have been saying its supposed to bring the two form factors closer together. Having it right now would be amazing though

slow in what way? do u mean that ur just faster on ur bb kb? or do u mean the software is laggy?

I meant the time to load an email on playbook using bridge,
the time to type a character and see the feedback on the screen,
the time to reply an email as a whole task,
and the time to load attachments..
Browser just crashed in bridge mode, calendar is also VERY slow to load my full day of schedules from bb bold to playbook...
