Koush tweeted that ics is booting on the nexus s - Nexus S General

"ics booting on nexus s thanks to some shady leaked binaries."

Why do you think this? In the pic posted in twitter, you can see a missed call and signal bar...

lol..noobs,thats not ICS he's running on the NS.
thats just the holo theme.(fonts and color)
ICS has difrent singal icon and battery icon
he's just trolling with you guys.
did anyone of you even tryd the SDK port??
than you can see it in 1 eye blink that this isnt ICS.

seriously?

ya ghost is right
is koush just hyping?

According to his twit this is ICS
Code:
koush koush
ics booting on nexus s thanks to some shady leaked binaries.
Drewgaren's ICS rom also uses gb kernel, this is not a indicator for say koush is hyping us
Look android version and build number. I know this can be changed easily but I doubt Koush do that...

If you use sdk port you should know signal icon is broken and never been fixed. And people app in final version also slightly different than the final one

I don't understand why people are doubting koush. The guy has done a lot for the community. And who is this drew guy everyone is talking about lol?

kinda awkward??
drew says on his site that he did use beezy's 4G rom to make it work on 3G and improve it.
beezy only don a few updates.,though drew kept updating it.
he also links to beezy's thread on AC.
kinda awkward statement you trying to make.

Btw is there any word from Beezy? Does he have a twitter account?

Why is everybody hating on drew?! He gave credit no more he can do if he based it on beezys work! Beezys work doesnt work on the ns3g so he did change sth wich is his work!

You can use the kernel from Gingerbread.

Sounds like some BS on Sprint's part to try and convince people to buy a new phone, wait until after the new hotness is out. I'm going to buy one anyways but I would like an official upgrade for the one I have Now. You've got people here who can single handed port a ROM in just a few days but HTC can't do it in six months with the source code?
They could at least leak the damn thing for us.

Hope we'll get the ICS Update officially! The phone worth it!
I saw that too, asked Motorola if our Atrix will get ICS for sure, waiting for reply...
I wouldnt hold my breath. I am a member on those forums and have been part of their Soap testing. From what Mark has said, he doesnt believe that the Atrix will get the update anytime soon. They are working backwards from the newer devices first then back to the older ones. Since the Atrix 2 was released sooner than the original I would expect to see that on the list before the Atrix itself.
I doubt it. There's no reason for them to update it They release like 20 phones in a 12 month period. Why waste the time/resources updating a model that is already 1 version older.
CM9 is the only viable answer to the ICS question for the Atrix.
They sent me this same thing, one month ago.
Its fun to see this hope of yours....

It's an alpha build with no camera support and gapps kinda work.

It's an alpha.
Even if official ICS comes, it will definitely be after the dev supported ICS roms on XDA hit final release. Mark my words.
i'd be completely shocked if they updated the phone we all paid for less than a year ago. but who knows, if they decide to it'll probably 8 months before they release it.
Don't get too anxious. Remember how long it took for them to roll out updates for Gingerbread. Motorola can do all the work, then get discouraged by the priorities of the carrier.

Look. No CM9 ROM has camera support right now. Btw, I'm running the latest alpha and it is working quite well for an alpha. I just think Atrix owners should start looking to this ROM, rather than waiting for Motorola to push out ICS...of which I doubt they will do anyways.
Sent from my MB860 using XDA App
All we need is start work on porting Roms/updates from the Atrix 2 to our Atrix's so when they get their 4.0 update we can just port if we don't get one too. And I wouldn't be so skeptical captivate made it to official gingerbread even though infuse which is the closest phone on the network got theirs before with no hope for its predecessor before it. Even if its not official during the past months we've gotten updates off of Moto test servers before they were released.
I think this horse has been beaten enough.... dont you all think so?? We'll get it when/if we get it.... until then, be happy with what ya got available..... OR go buy yourself a device that has ICS available already... or is 100% certain to get the update....

Actually when it got taken off the EOL list and the price dropped to almost nothing for new contract it became a big seller because of the keyboard. I think Sprint will keep it off the EOL list until they commision a new slider. And most of our DEVs are still locked in until July or later for full upgrades.

HAHA, I did it just because it looked like it was on the Epic4g line. Didn't play around much, but I found the touch didn't work, and the menu button selected things. Then I realized my stupidity after rechecking the download page and just flashed back. It looks kind of bland, but progress no-the-less. For the 2 times a year that I don't use Rom Manager to flash without touching anything, it'll be cool.
I flashed the 4g touch version but nothing happened. I figured it would have bricked or something. Its funny when those 4g touch *****es come over here whining because some flash didn't work on their phone. Some people are just out of their domain.

It came to the Nexus, we just got it baked into a kernel last night for Epic Touch and I am sure it will make its way here soon. Fake flash through ROM Manager only made it disappear on reboot. The funny part was the people posting why their volume and power buttons didn't work. The OG Epic community is well represented over there and always thinking of those loyal to the Epic. [REQ] Port of rascarlos rascream to crespo4g

Not trying to be a forum nazi at all, just a heads up. I think @rascarlo did not want the link to Rascream posted anywhere other than the Trinity kernel thread. If he has changed that protocol, I apologize.

Actually it shoots out rays of sunshine, and Canadian bacon.
To those unfamiliar, this rom its based off of aosp with the minimal things you'd need from aokp/CM added in, also dark themed and modded. Take a gander at the trinity thread to read through nothing but good experiences and long battery life, besides the latest build has gotten over 1,000 downloads.

Running very good with T11 from May 5th

JellyBean 4.1 running on SGS3 already

Amazing... a dev by the name of Faryaab (in #teamhacksung on Freenode) already has Jellybean running on the SGS3 (international)
Launcher FC's, among many other problems, but it's ON!

Yeah, as it says in the screenshot, and as it must be since it's not mid-july aosp-day yet. Still, nice to see.
Devs putting in work...it'll be awesome having jellybean on my S3 and Nexus
heck yea! Awesome sight. Really hoping sg3 gets some good dev support!
Wow, this is impressive. Since I am rooted with my Sprint GS3, this would be awesome once stable.
Keep it going and good luck, you guys are amazing!!

VZW probably figures if your OK getting boned with their pricing your OK getting the shaft with locked bootloaders as well. Very logical in a VZW sort of way.

And yet you're apparently still their customer. Who's really to blame here?
I dumped Verizon. Best move I ever made lte was spotty on long island and sucked battery. T-Mobile has been awesome with the 3g+ consistent speeds oh and I'm spending about $80 less a month. Their customer service has been awesome as well.
