Hey guys after netting a decent take on christmas I have decided to go to the MYTouch 4g.Love it already. Samsung used to be a company I enjoyed buying from but never again.Well guys its been fun trying to crack the puzzle that was the Galaxy S.Be good all

So you had a vibrant, which is comparable to the mytouch, but went and wasted money on the mytouch. Now I know the stock vibrant is a little laggy, but modified I haven't seen another phone (modified or not) better.
Good luck with your new phone. You could have spent your money more wisely.

Seriously, since the Vibrant is nearly unbrickable just update it with a nice new ROM and enjoy. No need to extend a contract and/or spend good $$ on a mytouch which I'm sure HTC made very hard to work on.

Perhaps this is the solution for those on EB13..... That would make the most sense. It was stupid to release an OTA that didn't support DI18 AND EB13.... Freakin' brilliant Sprint........

Does anyone know how many EB13 updates actually went through OTA? Im just thinking that they just figure anyone with that botched version has already visited the sprint store and returned to DI18... and im sure they wouldn't take responsibility for the Samsung .exe. I just hope they didn't ignore EB13 instead making updates for DG27, etc... just because they are official... they should just tell sales reps to check the OS version (lol i know), in case they have old stock that still has that preloaded. I just hope they do whatever the hell theyre going to do, and call it good. That way the real Devs here, not the paid ones, can fix/improve on what they did. I think they are just getting us all too wrapped up in updates, which is really just slowing XDA development.
*deleted rant about sprintsung.... its all been said* All I have to say, is its going to take a REALLY badass SGS2, preloaded with the highest OS version possible at launch, or Im looking at the already outdated hardware of the Nexus or see if I can deal with the non-amoled of the evo3d. These updates bum me out.

Nexus S and Nexus S 4G Support in ICS AOSP

Both the Nexus S and Sprint variant are now supported with the latest version of AOSP. Which means 4G owners need not worry about receiving an update.
I can't post links due to being a new member, but feel free to check the AOSP website for more info. Drivers are also posted at the usual page.

With 4.0.3 being the base platform, a dev should be able to build from source(real source, not a g nex port) right? Minus wimax of course. I would assume we will have to wait for the official ota......

I don't know why they as in Google couldn't send the ota to all Nexus s version 2day it ****ing sucks funny thing is Sprint the only one that has Google wallet the others don't want it Cuz they want there own version of wallet for payments which Google doesn't like look at Verizon so Sprint shows them love & we have to wait for who knows how long I hope its bye next week!

The NS4G is not the only NS that hasn't gotten official update. AFAIK, the AT&T NS (which I have) hasn't gotten it officially either.

NS4G is supported in AOSP(the proprietary files for it are even on the site), i'll see if I can do something tonight. I might of downloaded everything or at least most of what I need. But i'm not in Linux at the moment right now, i'll go back in there tonight, like I said I can't promise. I'll see if I can do something.

I have the proprietary Samsung ICS files for the NS4G, if i'm not mistaken, it looks like after everything is put together, the rom will have wiimax.

Yeah, our devs are probably going to have to include it in the kernel or it'll be a fake flash like all the e4gt users are stupidly complaining about lol

Im really surprise by the amount of support our phone has been getting recently. I remember a few months back people thought that the Epic 4G was dead.

Actually when it got taken off the EOL list and the price dropped to almost nothing for new contract it became a big seller because of the keyboard. I think Sprint will keep it off the EOL list until they commision a new slider. And most of our DEVs are still locked in until July or later for full upgrades.

HAHA, I did it just because it looked like it was on the Epic4g line. Didn't play around much, but I found the touch didn't work, and the menu button selected things. Then I realized my stupidity after rechecking the download page and just flashed back. It looks kind of bland, but progress no-the-less. For the 2 times a year that I don't use Rom Manager to flash without touching anything, it'll be cool.

I flashed the 4g touch version but nothing happened. I figured it would have bricked or something. Its funny when those 4g touch *****es come over here whining because some flash didn't work on their phone. Some people are just out of their domain.

Lol, yes yes, we're family, but they definitely come to our neck and stir up the pot. They actually get mad when they realize they flashed the wrong **** and bricked their phone. Me personally, I'll brick my phone all day and fix it in 15 min. Its just whatever to me. Developers **** on the world.

It came to the Nexus, we just got it baked into a kernel last night for Epic Touch and I am sure it will make its way here soon. Fake flash through ROM Manager only made it disappear on reboot. The funny part was the people posting why their volume and power buttons didn't work. The OG Epic community is well represented over there and always thinking of those loyal to the Epic. The new development has been most impressive. Hell, you are farther than we are on CM9...LOL

Well, I think I speak for every nexus s user when I say rascream rocks and I think I speak for all crespo4g users when I say WE WOULD LOVE A PORT/BUILD.
Not sure how tough it would be, I can't imagine it being super tough as its been done before. I guess you could just say I'm envious of crespo users who get to enjoy rascream

Not trying to be a forum nazi at all, just a heads up. I think @rascarlo did not want the link to Rascream posted anywhere other than the Trinity kernel thread. If he has changed that protocol, I apologize.
However, I did thank you because I would love to give rascream a try on my crespo4g as well...

I really hope it gets ported eventually. I've read nothing but good things about it from some pretty avid users. From what I understand its a treat. Idk if I would wanna deal w a bunch of different versions of the same from if I didn't have the device either tho. Too many headaches. One can only hope since its a real similar device that he will give us a run at it tho.

Actually it shoots out rays of sunshine, and Canadian bacon.
To those unfamiliar, this rom its based off of aosp with the minimal things you'd need from aokp/CM added in, also dark themed and modded. Take a gander at the trinity thread to read through nothing but good experiences and long battery life, besides the latest build has gotten over 1,000 downloads.

If it's ported I'll give it a shot...My phone's been shooting out crappy rainbows and unicorns left and right with AOKP lol....don't get me wrong....I love the rom
It's funny at first...but after 3 months, I'm sick of the damn unicorns already lol Thank god for theme chooser!!

My phone never could run aokp very well
Tried slim ics, was nice, but missing some things I like in CM. So to me rascream seems like the perfect mix, while nice and slimmed down
