You mean take it to Samsung and ask them to reset?

What he mentioned is to go to recovery and do a full wipe.
BTW did you install any custom ROM on it?

I did a full wipe (unless I'm doing it wrong) and I don't have any rom on it right now

super weird.like he said Factory reset from settings > privacy. If you haven't tried to install any custom rom or otherwise and this "just" happened , then you should take it to samsung and ask them to fix it.. And as a last resort you could download the stock rom for you tab , put it into download mode and flash it back to stock via odin.( you'll need to do some reading )
(I hope you have a 7500 and not a 7510 )

well i tried "Factory reset from settings > privacy" and is still the same.. and i did the "recovery and do a full wipe" and nothing happen.. it still says 7510.. and i am 100% sure that i have a 7500.. because i have a simcard inside it.. and i was using it for a month already .. until. i followed this video on youtube (How to Overclock Galaxy Tab 10.1 to 1.4Ghz Dual-core!) trying to overclock the tab... and i got the "color lines" like alot of peoples in the comment.. and they say just unroot the tab... and after i unroot .. my tab just say model number 7510

The overclock kernel doesn't have the drivers for the 3G radio. Install a "stock" kernel and you should be good to go.

do you know what is the stock kernel version is? Mine says 2.6.36.3

black screen after kies flash

i've just tried upgrading to the new froyo build through kies, but on completion my phone will not turn back on. All i am getting is black screen with random vibrations. I can get into download mode though. Anyone have a link to jf3 or jm1 original firmwares so i can flash back via odin then try kies again?
Go to recovery (volup+home+power) wipe data/factory reset and it will work, happened to me also.

man I cant stress this enough.. THANK YOU SO MUCH !!!!!!! After this happened to me I was ready to 1) give up, 2) try to reflash with odin 3) try something even more crazy..
and you saved my but ! I did as you said and it just started up perfectly ! Now I have froyo, all my data, and dont have to reflash or anything !
I just have one question if I may please !
I had a lagfix installed and I didnt disable it before I did the flashing, so do I still have it or what ? Because I didnt loose any data but the applications that I had instaled are not showed anymore.. which bugs me because Ill have to clean up and redo everything.. but at least Ill have a clean phone )
thanks again man !
You need to dis able lag fix before updating or anything

of course I know that now , the issue with my situation would be that after I got it working (did what BaalBehrit said) the phone would boot up normaly, but all apps including of course One-click Lag fix were still there but didn't show as installed apps, nor had they any icons for that matter. Therefore disabling it before second flash was virtualy imposible.
What I did was simple. I backed all my data to my computer and then just formated both SD cards - that probably took care of the lagfix, after that, I did the flash again and everything run smoothly.
but you're right I have to remember for next time

What will i lose??

After finally getting froyo 2.2 on 3 , after a week its still quite laggy, ive read a few posts suggesting a factory reset, my question is if i do a factory reset using the 3 button recovery mode, what will i lose off the fone?? do i keep my apn settings, contacts etc??
Why dont u just root ur phone n install a lagifix?
P.s factory reset will delete everythin but the contents on ur sd card

Factory reset makes your phone like new just like how you bought it, if you want it to go faster just apply a lagfix! Voodoo or One click lagfix
I know the lagfix are available which is my second step, but first i want to do a reset, a list of what is lost and kept would be bery helpful.
Thanks

Galaxy note crash!!

hello guys, i am very upset and frustrated.... My Galaxy note auto upgraded to ics 4.0.3 a few days ago. though it had become a bit slow, i mean applications would take a bit longer time to open and sometime force stopped. still it was great... and yesterday i.e, 24/06/20012 my Note downloaded a auto update... after that prompted me to restart... when i did.. it restarted and went to update mode ( where you see the green android )..... after that it rebooted and where Samsung logo appears.... it is stuck there....in few minutes my Phone heats up a lot and Battery gets drained! i tried to hard reset it but with no luck....
please help if anybody has some solution... thanks
Can u use recovery to wide data cache or maybe download latest stock rom then use Odin to put back to factory if u need help let me know
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
What ics do you want to install? Lpy (europe), lp9(asian)or lp8and lpa(india).:silly:
You need new installation.
Was it rooted? or was it stock without any mods? If its later take it back to uncle Sammy and get it fixed.
Alternatively install a safe kernal via Odin-- i recommend Speedmod k3-3 and then only wipe data/factory reset via recovery.
Then try flashing the Stock Rom you want via Odin. If that doesnt work, you can explore the other options. ATM it is a soft brick, may or may not be the emmc bug..

I give you a warning first. If your not rooted there is a slim chance of getting a superbrick bug( by doing a factory reset or recovery data wipe) as samsung devs says. But if you root your phone that chances is big really big. But there is a solution, after your new ics installation flash safe kernel called speedmod k3-3. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1673072. It will not trigger the superbrick bug when doing a FACTORY RESET OR RECOVERY DATA WIPE, thats why its called a safe kernel. Use MOBILEODIN(get it from the google market) to flash a new rom, you root your phone first to be able to use mobileodin. After that flash speedmod k3-3 custom kernel to be safe.
For rooting ics rom. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1647148
On how to use MOBILEODIN. See youtube type mobileodin its a visual teaching much better for understanding
bring it back to Samsung for repair, don't do anything stupid if you don't know what you are doing...

Don't you have cwm recovery?
Just flash a stock kernel then...
But...don't go back this easy, fight the cause!
The kernel is pretty sure not the issue, it's the setup, just flash the latest speedmod and be happy!

If you dont know such basics, you are probably at the wrong place mate..
get this file --> http://vln01.helochat.com/tourist/speedmod-kernel-s2-ics-k3-25-CWM.zip
put it onto your SD Card, boot into recovery and select "Install zip from sdcard"
clear cache and dalvik cache, reboot, thats it.
@Rude guys, we all needed to grow up.. just remember yourself..
Ok. thanks, and yea I still need to learn very much about android.
Use Mobile Odin and flash your .tar back. Use the search to find a guide/help

It happened to me. I flashed to ICS and used triangleaway to remove the triangle and flash counter

What caused the soft brick?

Ok, I sold my S4 i9505 (rooted and stock firmware 5.0.1) on evilbay and it was working perfectly when I sent it. 10 days after it got to the buyer they say it won't boot and want to return the phone. I'm extremely suspicious and would like to know if it is possible to find out if they have installed something they shouldn't have. A phone doesn't suddenly soft brick itself or does it?

I assume bootloop, because she said it was "constantly stuck in re-boot" . She apparently managed to get into Recovery Mode. I haven't got the phone back yet, but wanted to make sure I got all the info beforehand.

Have you done a full wipe before you give it away? Maybe wiped the system partition?

I did a full factory reset and did a quick test boot afterwards - all was ok. I may have wiped the cache partition but I'm pretty certain that that I didn't delete the system partition.
Does it has guarantee? When yes how long it left.
If you get the phone back I would flash a stock rom from sammobile with Odin, reboot and if it comes to the setup wizard you can give it her back .

Ultimately that's what I'll do, but I won't be sending it back to her. I'm already £££s out of pocket.
Honestly, I think she played about with it and messed it up. It took her 10 days to contact me. And since I booted the phone to the setup screen before I shipped it and it was working fine.
But I would like to know if it's possible to find out if and what she did and subsequently prove that
