Strange ROM problem on HD

Hi.
This morning i had a very strange experience with my Blackstone.
While i was copying something o the card i had to disconect the phone and then it started to act strange. It did not want to connect to the computer anymore,every tab in manila frezze up the phone,and the power button did not respond when i pushed it.The power button is working but not in WINDOWS, so it must not be a hardware problem i think.
The rom was Energyrom 23052 i think, and it was working great.
I did a hard reset but the same thing, no change.
Tried flashing again with a different rom Energyrom LEO 23081, but no change,manila freezes the phone and the power button is not working.
So i flashed a Duttys WM6.1 V4.3 ROM Final [MSVC Version], and everything is working normal, even the power button?
So anyone any clue of what is the problem?

sorry to hear that but best advise i can give u at the min is to goto the rom posting that u hav and explain ur problem there and if ur on energyrom repost it there and pm me with ur problem

white HTC boot screen after ANDROID -> no reaction whatsoever

Hi XDA Devs,
I've managed to break my HD2.
I was in ANDROID and shut down the phone over A. since then:
It's stuck on the white boot screen with the HTC logo (without any numbers in the left low corner).
No usb connection, no further sign of hope.
Hard reset, battery out -> nothing seems to help.
Do you got an idea how to get my HD2 working?

HD2 was running on:
2.10 radio (Vodafone Germany)
Artemis 24

Get into the bootloader mode ! do a task 29 format ..once it is completed again get into the bootloader mode and then flash the rom u were using ! cheers

I've managed to get into the bootloader mode and perform task 29.
Right now I'm tryin to upload artemis 24 to my phone but its either stuck at 0% or somewhere between 35%-60%. never came further than that AND it always takes awefully long!
EDIT: now its always 0%. I'm flashing with SSPL_RUU.exe
Do you got an idea how I'm able to fix that?

ok ..do one thing ..enter bootloader ..perform task 29 again ...then again bootloader ...change ur radio to 2.07.50. ...u will find this radio in the energy rom thread ..once u have flashed the radio ...enter bootloader again and flash the latest energy rom .:. forget abt the artemis rom for now ..do this and then tell me

Thats awesome ! ..good ! always use energy roms they are much more stable and much better and perfect in itself ,artemis is just like the stock rom and has its own benifits ! welcome anytime ! cheers

My HTC HD2 is not reacting when i touch the screen!!
Hi.... I have an HTC HD2... i have 3 months since i bought it... ever since the phone was working awsome... but like 3 weeks ago the phone started working really slow.. so i decided to do a factory reset to solve the problem... after the phone was rebooted it worked about 10 min perfectly fine.. then it locked as it usually dose (when its not in use).. but when i tried to unlock the phone,the screen was not reacting.. the problem is NOT that the screen dose not display.. the problem is that when i pass my finger throgh the screen to unlock,it dosnt work.. its like freezing... i tried to upgrade the ROM but it still gives me the same problem!!!
Is there a way i can fix this problem??? if there is i would really apreciate youre help!!! Thanks...

[Q] HD2 touchscreen not responding aftef screen lock

i`ve got a problem with my touchscreen, after installing SD card distribution of Android, few restarts later my touchscreen stpped to respond every time when my device is locked, and i have to restart it.
I tried to flash new rom - nothing happend
H-E-L-P !

remove sd card delete the partitions and format - use Easeus free edition for this
Then boot the phone - reun task 29 from your pc then reread the flashing instructions for the rom of your choice and try again - ensure the rom supports your version og HD2 whatever that may be

All done, and doesn`t work. I`m wonderig if is possible, that is malfunction of touchscreen, because it have been changed after it was broken.

i'm having the same issue. after it goes into its first lock screen the touch screen input doesn't work. i've flashed the ROM and also task29 the sucker. i've reverted back to stock ROM too. I'm not running android or even try to install from SD.

I have a HD2 with android on it.. nand version.. so it runs without sd card..
The phone works fine.. but when you lock it.. the screen doesnt respond anymore.. its running miui at the moment, so i can unlock the lockscreen.. but still the screen doesnt respond..
i see more people having this issues, so i hope to find a solution..

after 5 moths of Android Nand use I have the same problem. I have changed kernel/ROM
I made few times task29 wipe cache/dalvik but still the same
Yesterday I try install the orginal WWE 6.5 ROM but nothing change...
Maybe is hardware issue ? Few times with android rom my leo was very hot and maybe something burn inside ? or its stupid idea but who knows

Sure it's hardware: replacing touchscreen is your best choice!

But is this because of android on hd2? or do other people with stock phones also see this problem?
Hd2 is already gone here.. but i think its a good thing to know for the scene..

It's a wellknown (hardware) problem for HD2, not related to software(android/wm/wp/whatever).

SO my LEO came back from service, there is a part list that they changed:
- 54h20178-00M pre-assy key, key FPC, UF-KS, w/o Reg
- 74H01549-00M Chassis Pre-assy, black, stainless steel, MLRB81
- 76H04078-00M tape, FPC connector, kapton, MLRB81
- 83H00294-01 change 83H00233-01, 83H00294-03, 62H00065-B1M Sub-assy to 82H
maybe You need do the same...

Okay, so i just bought my 6th HD2, and this one got the lockscreen problem as well. If i lock the screen using the red power button and try to wake it up with the same red power button i found out that it doesn't work. I tried everything but i think i found a sort of workaround for the touchscreen problem.
1. Lock the screen as you normally do, with the red power button.
2. Wait at least more then 6 seconds with the screen off.
3. Now push the VOLUME UP button to make the device wake up.
4. Profit!
5. If it doesn't work, go back to 1 and try again.
I found out that if it works 1 time it will work multiple times in a row.
I'm on NAND but i think it works on SD aswell.

am new in this forum i have a little problem it is happen with almost every rom i tried (by the way i am using SD roms)
the problem is after the rom loaded successfully and all the programs and games work perfectly when am trying to lock the device by pushing the red buttons and want to wake up the device again by bushing it again some times work great and some times it is stuck with black screen and didn't get the lock screen.
any ideas?????

Switch to nand problem fixed.

You should try a nand rom.

No, although you will never want WinMo again after switching to NAND Also your build may be old as I think this isn't a problem on most SD builds nowadays.

hi ppl sorry post for hellp , but my hd get stop on boot loader it dont pass the smart mobility logo , and loop.
it starts to do this by it self, 1ª it look like dont charge, them gets on loop.
it on stock rom, i never update im. it was original.
1ª i start for update im to the last stock rom RUU_BlackStone_HTC_PTG_1.56.410.0_Radio_52.62.25.34_1.13.25.24_Ship
it did it ok and it get on loop again.
2ª i did HSPLWrapper_Blackstone_156OliNex , so i can use other roms to test
3ª install 1ª Blackstone Premium EDGE V4.3.1 and the same then Blackstone Swift EDGE V4.3.1
and i have the same , the only difference its the boot logo now i have htc smart mibility but it get stopped
any 1 have any idea how can i solve the problem.
at this time i think its an hardware problem but if any 1 have any idea, i will tray any thing, because its not on warranty i will tray any thing first .

Problem solved
like i think before the flash was with any kind of corruption i think?!!!
i have tray use task 29, but it wasn't working, so i take a last chance option.
i use HSPLWrapper_Blackstone_156OliNex as flasher but instead of 513k ruu_signed.nbh that came with, i use blackSTONEhengeHyPerSlim_4_8 as image to flash, i use this 1 because its short and have all flash "sections" boot , os , radio etc etc.
note the HSPLWrapper_Blackstone_156OliNex i was already flashed , i was the only way i can get coked roms flashed.
Now my blackstone its alive again, i have a little understanding on programming and hardware i did it on my one risk but it work and its a simple trick, and maby hellp any 1 ho have the loop like i was , and only can get in SPL mode.
my Touch HD it was virgin i was never bin flashed or any other kind of change
