Hey everyone!
I've searched the board, but I did not find anything releavant to my issue.
I've been trying to put Clockwork into my magdlr by running the DAF.exe, my HD2 is in USB flasher mode, but DAF.exe pops up and says it needs "RAPI.dll" to run. After that, it's unable to establish a connection to my device.
RAPI.dll is a part of active sync, which is not available for Windows 7, so what can I do to establish a connection to my device?

the windows mobile device centre that ships with win 7 isn't the latest.

install again from there, reboot phone and pc, and try again.

After validating, it takes me back to the frontpage.. no download. Oh stupid microsoft-website! grr!

I have install virtual machine on my win 7 laptop with win XP mode. Download Cotulla's HTCMAG_ROM_WWE_O5 rom. Following the instructions I start flashing rom. In the middle appear err message. ActiveSinc shows not connected. I did`t know what to do. I have tried to connect again. Nothing.
Can anybody help me?

After that I nave reset several times the device. I connected it to another computer with win XP and start it again. And guess what?
IT WORKS!!!
My phone was working well. Then i installed the new rom from mdj, CM7.
At first it was working good, but then i plugged my phone to pc but it wasnt recognized anymore. So i wanted to change back to another rom. No matter what i did my pc and my netbook didnt recognize my phone anymore. then i tried to update the rom with CW and a fixed rom from CM7. Since then my phone tells me theres nothing to boot in nand. And pc still not recognizing my phone. Pls help me guys. im trying to fix this since 3 hours but nothing works...pls help me.
power off your phone (pull battery and put it back in)
hold volume down and power button until you get to the tri colored screen
plug the usb into the computer
flash over any RUU
i tried that allready but as i said pc dont recognize as usb...so at the screen it says serial and not usb...but still i tried to install it and it didnt work
When i boot the phone it says...nand kernel open failed...is there a way to install a nand rom completely over CW?
Then is sounds like your pc has the prob not the phone.
Reboot PC and also try re-instaling Mobile Device Center or ActiveSync depending on what version of windows you have.
sry i should have tell that too...i have windows 7 and mobile device center...i restarted pc a few times allready reinstalled the program too...but when it comes to installing device driver it tells me it couldnt be installed...and i dont know what to do

have you tried reflashing winmo using sd card? then start all over again.

Trying flashing your official WM Rom through SDcard. Once you are back in WM, you can flash your desire NAND Rom.
i took the ruu_signed.nbh from an official rom named it to leoimg.nbh and put it on my sd...started the phone with volume down and power...it is updating

bootloader-ok
splash-ok
os-

the first time the update didnt work and now its updating again and i hope it will finish and make it work again and not cancel again...

yesssssssssssss phone starts again...winmo is installed! the only problem which left is that the pc dont recognize my phone...i reinstalled mobile device center...but it cant install the phone driver...what can be the problem? does anyone know a page where i can download just the driver and install it?

better fully uninstall mobile device center using softs like your uninstaller and alike to totally clean the installation then plug in usb. Then let Windows 7 do its job in installing the driver.
i cant believe it :S for real i cant believe it...i just changed the usb cable and tried with it :S and it worked :S the driver got installed and now its working :S now thats curious...not working with original cable anymore but with a cable from the nokia n97 :S

Now i am trying to go back to windows or play with other roms and instal Magldr 1.13.
But when i try to install them. I have to use a Activesyns connection between my PDA and PC. But the only thing i can choose on my phone is USB Mass Storage (On/Off).
And then the installation fails because it can't find my phone.
How do i get a Activesync connection on Gingerbread.
Can't find it anywhere.

Considering it's early here, I'm having my coffee, I'm not going to flame you for the dumb question, you can't active sync your hd2 on android, active sync is for windows mobile only, just power down, and power back up holding the volume down button, it will go into bootloader mode, plug your usb cable and you'll see usb display at the bottom of the screen, now you should hear the phone connecting to your pc and you can run any windows mobile RUU and flash back to stock , or run task 29 and flash windows mobile.

I flashed a NAND.now i want to flash an new Android version with CW but when i enter the USB Flasher mode my pc is doing three sounds instead of the normal usb sound.I can see the MAGLDR in device Manager.
so long for the first Problem.

i get 2 errorsrogram can not start because RAPI.dll is not on the computer.
I hope someone can help me.

Hi,
Make sure you have the latest version of ActiveSync in XP or WMDC in Windows 7 installed.
Or in Vista/Windows 7 to right click and run as Administrator

this morning i wanted to try a new rom and did task 29 and reinstall the radio and magldr 1.13 , and when i conected the phone via flasher mode it dosnt connect with the computer the strange thing is it connect via mas storage, i can flash win mobile which i did so my cable works, but I cant flash any android or win phone 7 ,,,i recently formatted my Pc besides that i could do it without any issue earlier what could be the problem
Damn it i cant flash anything via MGLDR it doesn't get connected only WIN Mobile 6.5
Hi, I would think that the problem is that you have formatted your pc, so you don't have ADB installed. Install Android SDK and you will get ADB support.

Hi,
You are missing the drivers that come from ActiveSync in XP or WMDC in Windows 7.
Install whichever is appropriate for you and see if that works.
